    I found John for my husband and I'm so satisfied with his work. He does exactly what I ask for and I can trust my husband will come home with a job well done. Thank you John! You make his beard a dream!

    5 stars have never been more deserved. After going to the same Burbank barber shop for over 30 years, I just happened to try out Made Well. I was blown away at how clean everything is here. I guess I was conditioned to believe that an old school barber meant dirty bathrooms and a dingy shop combined with subpar customer service. John and all of the barber here are super professional, kind and really talented. My 7 & 8 year old kids loved their hair cuts and the nice way they are treated while getting a haircut. No politics blaring out of a tv here, just chill music and cool vibe. I will be back here every two weeks for a hair cut.

    I had an appointment for Saturday morning with Arsen at 11pm. I booked it on Monday in advance because I was getting married on Sunday. (During the call to book my appointment they asked if I was the Jonathan that had 3 no call /no show but I let them know it wasn't me. ) I show up at 1030 but they were still closed (posted open hours are 10am) I waited until 1145 prior to leaving and called multiple times during my wait in the parking lot. I had to go to three different barbershops before getting a cut from a random barber for my wedding. These barber give the best haircuts but really let me down.

    John is the best barber in California. Every part is super professionally done and he won't try to rush anything. Top-quality and service are excellent. I recommend John highly. A++++++

    It all started back in July...it was the day before 4th of July. My barber recently changed locations to Eagle Rock and everything was booked! I was flying out to San Francisco the next day and needed a cut ASAP rocky! After doing a quick search I came across Made Well Barbershop and decided to pop in. When I entered the shop I was greeted by John who mans the first station. The first thing I noticed after being greeted was how nice and cool it was in the shop (solid AC ) secondly I noticed how clean the shop was. They have vacuums mounted at every station so there was no hair on the floor. They had TVs mounted to the wall and had some good music playing. I grabbed a seat on the comfy leather seats and tested my luck. No appointment and it was a day before the holiday so I thought I was going to be SOL...after a quick 20 minutes John called me up to his chair! Sweet! John gets me set up and took his time asking me questions about how I wanted my hair. I get a fohawk fade so it's a tough cut to get right. I was a bit nervous but I could tell John had experience so I let him do his thing (fingers crossed). After our quick chat John got after it...the man has skills! He was fast but didn't rush. He paid attention to detail while cracking jokes and making me laugh. The cut came out amazing! and I got a fresh shave n hot towel to top it off! Boom! It's the end of August and I've been back to John more than a hand full of times. He's a good dude who cares about his clients and his work. To be honest If his haircuts sucked ass I'd probably still come back because his service is great lol. I highly recommend checking this shop out. All the guys there can cut and you'll be nice and cool while you wait!

    Nine months ago, I had an excellent review. Today is a different story. Last Friday I bought my…read morehair color that I've been purchasing from them 7-00and 8-00. The next morning I colored my hair for an event and when I opened the box for 7-00, it was half a tube of 6-00.Easy mistake. They have a hair salon next-door could've happened. I can see how it can happen. Not a big deal. What is a big deal is how Michelle, the buyer/manager treated me. When I first called her up, I asked to speak to the manager and she said the manager was not in and that she's the buyer she could help me. I told her the story, she said, you cannot return used hair color. I said, it's not a color I used. It's an incorrect color in the tube that I purchased. She said bring it in. I'll match the number with my inventory number and if it's there, I'll take care of you. I was a little frustrated and annoyed at that but I'm like OK. I couldn't go in until Tuesday. And she was not in. The person behind the counter (very nice ) took a picture of the product and my receipt and said she was sending the picture right then and a message. So I left. ***note*** it was at this time that I asked the person behind the counter if Michelle, was the buyer and the manager, and she said yes. *** I come back the next day, Thursday. So I call before heading in. Once again, I asked to speak to the manager and she wants to know who's calling. So, I asked to speak to the buyer, and she's ready to talk. Then, I tell her I'm the one who her associate sent the hair color box and my receipt. And it's frustrating because she acts like she has zero idea what this is about but then immediately says it did not match my inventory number. So that upset me. And I tell her, " that's not true" and she says well you only bought 800. And I said no, if you look at my receipt, it shows I bought two colors!! Now,I'm very frustrated because the finger is being pointed at me and I'm the customer!! I have been calling now three times to resolve this issue. And in her tone, she says how she's not trying to give me a hard time, and I said it seems like you are. And then she says come into the store. We're open from whatever to whatever and hangs up. I get to the store and she is there. I say are you Michelle the buyer, and she says yes. I said I'm the one who's trying to return the color. And she acts like she has no idea, again, about what I'm talking about. So, one more time I have to tell her the entire story. And she knows it. I know she knows. She's not dumb. She is the manager and the buyer. She's capable. She's just playing some kind of terrible game with a customer who's trying to resolve a $13 issue. And that is how I feel. And this is why I won't be returning to the store again and why I had her remove my points that I had and the ability to earn points. I deleted the app. I will never go to the store again because of her, Michelle, the manager, that she does not want to admit that she is. And the buyer She could not have been more rude to me if she tried! Her whole tone, her demeanor, her handling of the products, her body language, her look at me. It was just not a good thing to happen for a $13 product. Of which I had the box and the receipt for. And I brought in the other box that I purchased. And before I left, I raised my voice and I said you are so rude. You're not a nice person and she said I'm sorry, I'm sorry I'm sorry I'm sorry she kept saying that. I'm like you're not sorry, you could've handled this differently. You're rude. Your customer service is terrible. the whole time she kept saying, I'm sorry. And I left. As I was walking out, she yells FORGIVE AND FORGET. And I replied, I will forgive, but I'm never gonna forget. And sadly, I won't. And I liked the store. They had great product. There is another lady that was there, that was always very nice. But if a little mistake happens, their buyer/ manager is not the person to resolve that issue. She is horrible. I cannot say that enough.

    I've driven by this place hundreds of times, and I've FINALLY walked in. I wish I'd done it…read moresooner!! Found a hair product that is NEVER sold at CVS and now that Rite Aid is closing down, they hardly have any products at all!! This hair product is good for adding color and more substance to an area of your head that you feel needs some help. There are different shades which is great. The price is reasonable and lasts quite a while. I walked around a little, and looked at similar products, but the price was higher. Since I had some time, I explored the store and found many beauty products. the prices seem reasonable. Some of the stuff looked a little old so I would recommend checking for the expiration date. Plenty of free parking in a large shared lot.

    I called about a week in advance to book my hair appointment with Eunice. I can tell right away…read morejust from my initial conversation with her that she was very experienced and knowledgeable about hair care. I was looking for a salon to get my annual digital perm. I was convinced that she was someone I could trust with my hair and to help me get the digital perm that I wanted so I booked my appointment with her. I was already warned that digital perms would take a long time so she told me to block out about 3-4 hours. Before starting anything, she checked the health of my hair and also talked through cutting my hair before starting the digital perm process. I appreciated how she knew what lengths and the type of haircut that would best suit me as the digital perm would grow out in the future. I also showed her my digital perms from the past that I liked and didn't like (from other salons that I had gone to) and we were in agreement as to what kind of perm, length, and shape she was going to aim for. She pays great care to details and even made sure that she had the correct intensity of chemicals to make sure that she preserved the health of my hair while perming it. I really appreciated her taking her time to make sure that she was thorough and careful to make sure that this was going to be worthy of my investment. She explained each step of the perm process as she was doing each step. She takes great pride in her work and wanted to make sure that she was also satisfied with her work. Although it was a long morning, she took great care to make sure that I was comfortable and even offered coffee/beverages while I waited. Eunice is so incredibly sweet and is so much fun and easy to talk to. Digital perms in general are pricey, but it's because there is a lot of labor and preparation that goes into perms that are done correctly and done well. I feel like her price point was fair considering her thoroughness and care throughout the process. I definitely plan to come back again next year and I am so glad that I found someone I can confidently trust and go back to for my annual digital perm.
