This place was suggested by family to have a little birthday brunch moment and it did not disappoint! Service, vibes and food were all 10/10. The drinks were all delicious! The ube matcha was definitely my favorite, even my little guy enjoyed it. The churro waffle sticks were the highlight of the table. They were a sugary delicious treat for all. The build your own bowls were perfect, every ingredient was fresh and delicious. The chicken fried steak was SO good. The highlight of the brunch was forsure the cheese pull on the grilled cheese, it was a beautiful stringy cheesy sight!

Mosey on down to one of SD's cutest brunch spots! Madi is gorgeous. From their logo to their branding and interior, it's all so lovely! This location in Normal Heights is tucked into a neighborhood, so parking may be a little tricky. I dropped by for brunch on a weekday and it was bustling with people. I opted for their Surfer Breakfast Burrito. It features eggs, potatoes, bacon, avocado, cheese, and chipotle cream. I love that it came with a side of beans AND salsa (red AND green)! It was super yummy to dress up my burrito as I munched. Super solid!

Came around noon on a Sunday and they were pretty packed but we were seated right away. Interior is pretty big, cute, and aesthetic with a good amount of tables but super loud. -Waffle churro sticks (4/5): tasty, thick, moist, covered in sugar and cinnamon so pretty sweet and gets tiring. I didn't really like the dips (jalapeño blackberry sauce and maple cream cheese) but the strawberries were a nice addition -GOAT sandwich (3/5): big and filling, bread was crunchy, but I wasn't feeling the runny egg or apricot habanero jam as it was both sweet and slightly spicy. The potatoes were good and crispy but such a small portion. -Ube matcha (1/5): so sweet and didn't taste like matcha at all, the ube cream had a decent slight ube taste Service was decent but didn't check on us often as they were busy. Not sure if I would be back.

Been wanting to try this brunch spot. We came for a Sunday lunch around noon and luckily found parking close by and were seated right away with no reservation. It's cute and airy inside, but very loud and music blasting Waffle churro sticks (4/5): hot, thick and covered in cinnamon and sugar! I wasn't really a fan of the dips (jalapeño blackberry sauce & maple cream cheese), but the strawberries were a nice touch The GOAT sandwich (4/5): very filling and the egg was still slightly runny which isn't my favorite. The ham, bread and arugula were yummy. It was a bit sweet due to the apricot jam Ube matcha (2/5): I read good reviews about the matcha so wanted to give it a try. The color looked promising but sadly there was no matcha taste at all and it was so sweet. The Ube cream was good tho and had a hint of Ube Service was decent, they didn't check up on us too much as they were busy. I wouldn't rush to come back but wouldn't mind coming here again

1st time at Madi's and it's so good. Service was friendly (shout out to our waiter) and food was delicious, especially the blackberry pancakes. The ambiance is casual. There's seating inside and outside. Our wait time was about 30 min and we were there at about 11am. Parking is street parking, so be prepared for that.

Went to Madi for the first time and loved it! We were seated immediately on a Saturday (July 4th) around 12! Grant was our server an was extremely attentive/helpful! All the staff seemed to be very helpful and I never felt like we were waiting around too long. The food was good! Great atmosphere all around! A super cute brunch spot to hang out with friends or family

My friend and I ate here on a weekday. We were seated immediately and given our menu and waters. My friend and I both got the chilaquiles. Not the best I've had but it was decent. We shared the French toast it was nice and sweet, didn't even need the syrup. I got a pistachio latte with ube foam and my friend got a brown sugar cinnamon latte with brown sugar foam. Sadly both of our lattes tasted exactly the same and pretty watered down. Didn't catch our waiter name but he was very friendly and nice!

We had a reservation for party of 6 and were seated right on time! They did ask if we could wait another 15 minutes but when we told them our schedules didn't allow for that, they were quick to adjust and make it happen for us. There was some confusion with the ordering, as we thought that we had placed drink orders with one of the staff members who asked for our orders, but they never got put in & we had to re-order them with a different waiter who was actually assigned to our table. The food is solid here, but it's nothing crazy outstanding. The GOAT sandwich and the BASIC were both enjoyable. The environment is busy and welcoming, I can see it being a fun & cute brunch meet spot for friends, but it's not really worth waiting hours in line for. (We made a reservation the night before, but heard walk-ins get a wait time of 2 hours.)

What a great spot for lunch! My friend and I decided to try this place for the first time while we were in the area, and it did not disappoint. We made a reservation for 12:15 on a Friday, and we were glad we did because there was already a wait when we arrived. Even with reservations, we waited about 10 minutes, but it was absolutely worth it. The food was delicious, and our waiter was incredibly helpful and attentive. I had the breakfast Chilaquiles Verde and my friend ordered the bowl, which was perfect for her since she has food allergies. Everything was fresh, flavorful, and well prepared. If I'm ever back in the area, I would definitely return!

Found Madi online, and from the pictures, it looked like a casual brunch spot with wonderful aesthetics and a cool, new-retro diner feel. And they delivered! As soon as we walked in, I loved the vibe, from the wooden walls, to the pictures hanging in the bathroom, to the hanging indoor plants. However, Madi fell short in their service and food. We were told to wait 30 minutes for our table. Ended up only being 20 which was a nice surprise! However, as soon as we sat down, we were not welcomed in, no one to explain the menu, no one to offer water, and no one to even take our order. And when we finished, no one to offer the bill, and to-go boxes were all self-serve. Just seemed like there was no urgency! Everytime we needed something, we had to flag someone down, which even that took some effort. Automatic 4% Hospitality charge too. The food was fine with some unique flavor combinations. My G.O.A.T sandwich came with a wonderful sticky and spicy jam, but overall it was slightly dry and bready, the swiss cheese could have been meltier, and the egg yolk was already broken. The Greek Fries came with a bold tahini sauce, but even then, the chicken was dry and the fries were not crispy at all, but floppy, soggy, and chewy. Maybe we came on a bad day. Maybe we just ordered the wrong things. But I really am trying to give Madi the chance it obviously deserves!

Madi is a MUST for breakfast and brunch, especially if you are gluten free. Grant our server was a sweetheart and walked me through the all the gluten free option. There are so many options! I had the blueberry lemon pancakes and it was delicious. It's such a cute spot!

This was my second time at Madi on Adams and the pancakes were better than I remembered! Super fluffy and great fresh flavors. I also ordered a vanilla bean latte, their coffee is great as well. Our server Grant was so sweet and attended us very well! Overall a great brunch experience and delicious as always.

She recommended the bloody Mary flight so did grab that to try! We also ordered the biscuits and gravy to share and orange juice. The portions are so large! So I am glad we decided to share the biscuits and gravy but let me run down each thing. Bloody Mary Flight: Honestly every single one was amazing. My favorite was definitely the pickle Mary! Everything tasted so delicious and was garnished beautifully. Well worth the 22 dollars. Biscuits and Gravy: Absolute perfection of comfort food. The biscuits were so fluffy and well seasoned. The gravy was also soooo good, just like my mom makes. The sausage in it was also cooked so well and juicy. I've never tried mashed potatoes with the biscuits and gravy but it worked very well! Orange Juice: Not a fan really, not pulpy enough and I wasn't a fan of the flavor. Overall this is definitely a must visit! I will definitely be back.

All 6 of us had our own dishes, but I would highly highly recommend ordering a couple dishes and sharing it family style if you're dining with a group. One note I did have about Hash House is how overstimulating the menu is lol. The menu had a lot of clashing fonts, colors, and clip art images, it made it hard to digest the menu. I didn't even notice some menu offerings because of how busy the menu was. Also, our waitress did initially charge us for 6 coffees, even though we only had 3. It was a good thing we caught that error on the receipt before paying. Overall, the food at Hash House is definitely worth coming back for.

From what I could tell, there was only the bartender, one server, and possibly the manager working the floor. There may have been another employee, but regardless, they handled the rush incredibly well. Everyone was friendly, attentive, and kept things moving despite being clearly understaffed. The place itself is super cute and has a really fun atmosphere. There are TVs everywhere, making it a great spot to catch a game, and they have a nice craft beer selection. What I ordered: * Chimichurri Sliders ($16) - One of their specials. You get two sliders with no fries, so I'm not sure how much of a "special" it really is. They were decent, but nothing memorable or worth going out of your way for. Overall, I'd definitely come back to grab a beer and watch a game because the vibe is great. Food-wise, though, I found it pretty mediocre for the price. Burgers are around $25 with fries, and the appetizers (or "bites") range from $18-$25.. I was still hungry after the sliders and wanted to order a side of fries, but they don't list sides or prices on the menu, so you have no idea what anything costs. I ended up passing because they only offer steak fries, which just aren't my favorite. One big bonus is that they're dog-friendly, which I always appreciate. If you're looking for a fun place to watch sports, enjoy a beer, and hang out with friends, I'd definitely recommend it. Just don't come expecting the food to be the highlight.
