They pointed me in the right direction and one person, even walked me over to the aisle I was looking for. Unfortunately, this store was out of both items I was shopping for. I did find a few things I needed. But, as I came up to the counter, I saw the cherry tomatoes that I picked up, were rotting at the bottom. So, I gave them back to the person working there. I hate to compare, but I really don't think this store is as clean as the one I usually shop at. So, given that they were out of stock for the items I usually buy and the item I picked up was spoiled. I probably won't be coming back to this Harris Teeter. It is such a shame, because my last review, was 10 years ago, but they had such promise.

They have really competitive pricing and have a bigger selection of goodies than other stores. The produce section always has fresh diverse options. Meat and bakery departments also a favorite as they have good cut selections and baked items. The rest of the store is huge with plenty of organic options. Lots of self check out spots and check stands that are actually staffed with people. It's a calm chill place which is nice and not chaotic like going to Walmart or Aldi. Some were good, others were just okay. Here is what I got: CHINESE BROCCOLI - some were long, and others seemed like they were already cut short. I don't know if that is how it is normally sold. Goya PLANTAIN CHIPS - the chips were light overall, but slightly salty. I still enjoyed it. 80% COCONUT WATER WITH PULP - I enjoyed this, but I am not sure I would get it again. I couldn't find a brand on the can and some of the wording said to chill before drinking, but yet it was stocked on a shelf. I may just stick to a brand I know, next time. I also got another juice - Mogu Mogu LYCHEE JUICE with bits of the fruit in the drink, but found that the lychee bits were going down my throat quicker than I had a chance to eat them (not sure I'll get that again even though I enjoyed the drink). BUTTER CREAM BREAD - even though I liked this, it was not as soft. I got one or two other items, but I'll probably get them elsewhere next time due to the high price. I saw a lot of things from Georgia and Ukraine, but I think I saw other products from that region (Russian, Lithuanian, Macedonian, etc.). The staff were very friendly, and cheerfully assisted me with some of the pastries we purchased. One had a nice balance of flaky pastry and fruit filling while the blintzes seemed a bit underwhelming. I also picked up a bottle of dessert wine and Children #1 and #2 picked out some candies that caught their eye. The inside is clean and somewhat small but easy to navigate. There is music playing (I don't know what language; I want to say Russian but in today's climate that could be a charged statement. Just want to say it positively adds to the vibe). This used to be one of my regular purchases, but over the past few months the rice has frequently been undercooked and hard, with a texture that feels almost like partially raw grains. The kimbap is now noticeably too firm and no longer has the soft, properly cooked consistency it previously had. This is not an isolated incident and it has happened multiple times, which suggests an ongoing issue in preparation or quality control. Even my mom, who used to really enjoy this kimbap, can no longer eat it because it has become too hard to chew, and she has stopped buying it completely. This decline in quality is very disappointing, and I sincerely hope management reviews the preparation process and makes the necessary corrections.

I have never met someone at a Trader Joe's that wouldn't go out of their way to help a customer. The food is delicious! They have lots of fresh fruit and veggies. The Employees are constantly packing those aisles with fresh produce. I really like their cheese section. I always get the feta cheese, baby Brie cheese, and Gouda cheese. They are priced so reasonably. I love their snack section and I load up on nuts, dried fruits, chips, pretzels and cookies. You can't go wrong with Trader Joe's snacks. I also buy their muffins and breads. They have a sourdough bread that is amazing. The scones are really good too. Don't forget the lemon cookies, they taste like lemon meringue pie. Yum! The store is clean, well organized, and well stocked. If they don't have a product you need, they will let you know when it is coming in. Cashiers are friendly and efficient - they'll call you over to one of their lanes if they're open (and the lanes are named after local roadways for convenience). Just be careful turning into the lot from Travilah and Route 28 - the first driveway is exit-only!!
