Beef Shawarma on Fresh Baked Bread

Just tried the freshly made falafel from the back takeout and bakery of Madina Market. The falafel was crispy but not greasy with a great taste. The fresh veggies and sauce that came on the side give a nice freshness and extra flavor to it. Recommend this along with the beef shawarma and eggplant wrap. All are generously portioned on fresh baked tandoor bread at a great price point!

    Beef Shawarma- (Generous Portions)

Clean, organized, great variety, and competitive pricing. I visited the store to confirm the raving reviews I often get from friends and family-- let's just they have everything and more. The store manager introduced me to their new menu item (shawarma), they offer both chicken and beef. I tried the chicken shawarma which has its own unique flavor and it set itself apart from your ordinary shawarma. It was so delicious that I went back to tryout their beef shawarma, and I was satiated. 5/5 stars, I highly recommend this store.

They had some really good looking Mahi Mahi filets that I am kicking myself for not getting, but in talking with the two guys behind the counter, it was just brought in that morning. Instead we got local chicken breast, which at about $7 per lb. Is pretty good for local chicken. Our CSA previously charged $10.99 a lb. And some pork chops to throw on the grill - they were nice thick cuts too! Their different beef cuts looked good and the one guy was talking about bringing in some A5 in the future (admittedly this was a conversation I was eaves dropping on so I don't have details -- but... something to look forward to???) They also have different prepared foods - apparently their shepherd pies were very popular this past week and sold out and they have shaved ribeye that we would have liked for cheesesteaks (alas! Also sold out) It was a Sunday so I am sure they were winding down inventory for the week, but if they are selling out - it must be good, right!?! Bottom line: knowledgeable and helpful staff & good, quality selection - wish they were closer to us, but we will be back anyway!

I picked them up on a Saturday to eat on Sunday. On Sunday when I opened the package I was met with the smell I feared I may. It's like meat you buy at a grocery store that is on the sale by date and usually get for a discount. The meat is not spoiled but has an off taste to it. That's how these smelled and sadly tasted. I sent an email to the store and they apologized and offered me free replacements. I went back and when o got to the meat counter the Pattie's were a bright red. I was excited. I brought these home and cooked them and they are absolutely amazing. I believe they were 10.99 a pound which for the quality of the beef, it's not much more than a grocery store. The grind on these Pattie's were absolutely amazing. Best texture for a hamburger I ever had. The flavor is excellent as well. These are grass fed and grain finished beef and have a different and different flavor than standard grocery store beef which is normally fed straight grain. I highly recommend this butcher shop. They also have great looking steaks which again are a bit more than grocery store steaks but the flavor difference of grass fed beef is worth it.

I normally park on the street. The other item to be aware of is the sloppy construction next door. I picked up (see the pic) drywall screws, what I'm guessing is some type of electrical box screw and nails in small plastic holders. I have had to get 2 tires patched because of the sloppy construction. Be aware this hazard exists in the street getting to the store and garage.
