I used to come here as a kid growing up with my mom and this is still one of my go-to spots for a steak and cheese. The pricing has gone up during the years but the taste has remained amazing throughout the years. The service is always quick and easy to order. The restaurant does have more of a 'quick bite' vibe. Most people order to go but they have seating. I personally haven't tried the Bulgoki sandwich but i've heard good things about it so definitely will try it next and review that too!

Great combo meals for a really good price. I always get a cheese steak and love it. Best sandwich place in the area for the price.

There is plenty of seating that is spacious and well setup, tables are not squished together where you feel as though you have no space to eat. The restaurant is located in a shopping center with many other retailers, so parking is a non issue. I always appreciate good food that is easily accessible without struggling to find parking while out and about with two young kids. We ordered various items from the menu: - Chicken Leg Noodle Soup - My kids loved this. The soup is flavorful and portions are large so perfect to split among two kids. - Pork Soup Dumplings - Solid option, soup broth inside the dumplings was delicious. - Scallion Pancakes - Deliciously fried to perfection. It comes cut into slices, making it easily shareable for the table. - Cucumber with Garlic - Simple dish, but the garlic sauce really makes it memorable. The staff here were great, they were extra mindful of dish placement near my young kids which I really appreciated. All items came out quickly and just as requested. I have visited other locations throughout the DMV and this location was consistent with what I experienced at other locations... friendly staff and delicious food all at a reasonable price. I would definitely come back again if I was in the area :)

For a self-proclaimed Chinese food snob, that kind of consistency across locations isn't just appreciated -- it's rare. This is the place I bring family and friends visiting from out of town when I need to guarantee both quality and a good time. No hesitation, no asterisks. That's a short list. The menu hits two lanes perfectly: bold, soul-warming noodle soups and dry noodles loaded with zesty mix-ins that slap just as hard. The flounder with sour pickled cabbage noodle soup is the move if you want something that's simultaneously bright, funky, and deeply comforting. The spicy beef brisket in golden soup is pure richness -- the kind of broth you'd drink straight if no one was watching. On the dry noodle side, the Chongqing dry noodles bring the heat and the complexity you want from that style. Don't sleep on the small eats. The scallion pancakes and soup dumplings are legitimately all-star -- not afterthoughts, not filler. One pro tip: pay attention to the rotating specials once you've locked in your favorites. And you will have favorites. Probably after visit one. Casual setting, family-friendly vibe, top-tier food. Yu Noodle earns a permanent spot on the short list.

In the same breath, she also warned that service may be slow. However, that wasn't the case when I visit on a Sunday evening in July for dinner. Here's my experience. 1) Service: There's a small parking lot on the upper level of this strip mall in McLean. Walk down the stairs into one-room spacious Chiang Mai Thai Cookhouse. Once inside, I was greeted by a hostess and seated at a table for two. Throughout my one-hour stay, I was checked in upon. My water glass was kept full, and the check came to my table in a timely manner. 2) Food: Hungry, I ordered the papaya salad, tom ka soup, and the mango and sticky rice for dessert. I also ordered the Thai iced tea. Every dish was a little different from other Thai restaurants across the country. The papaya in the salad was thicker and not as soaked in the flavors. The soup had large, cooked onion pieces in it. The rice in the dessert was a slight green color. The Thai iced tea was more subtle. Despite the uniqueness of each dish, I enjoyed each one. 3) Space: Decorations color the walls in the one-room dining room. Unisex restrooms are in the very back.

The atmosphere was also fantastic. The decor is adorable, and the music selection made the experience even more enjoyable. We really appreciated her attentiveness and kindness. The only downside was parking. There wasn't any available directly in front, so we ended up parking in the Walmart garage and paying $12. We forgot to ask whether the restaurant offers parking validation or a voucher, so that's something future guests may want to check on. Overall, the food, service, and atmosphere made for a great birthday celebration. Highly recommend!

I ordered an entrée with three sides: grilled vegetables, roasted heirloom carrots, and mac and cheese. Everything was made to order, so my meal arrived fresh and flavorful. The olive oil-roasted vegetables were simple but well seasoned and satisfying. The roasted heirloom carrots were unique as they were seasoned with za'atar and served with whipped feta, which added a delicious flavor. The mac and cheese, however, was just average. I'm not a big fan of gluten-free pasta, and I found it a bit too chewy. It also didn't absorb the cheese sauce very well, so it wasn't as creamy or flavorful as I had hoped. I also tried the draft kombucha, which was fine but nothing particularly memorable. The service was quick, even during a busy weekend lunch, and a staff member was friendly. Starting with the hand towel (so cool!) you begin feeling relaxed and refreshed. I chose to start off with the Gen Maicha, which had a delightful popcorn taste I couldn't get enough of! For my cocktail, I chose a simple bubby rose', but my friends said their cherry blossom flavored tea inspired cocktail was amazing. As you can see, they did not cut any corners with the high tea treats, which ranged from savory to sweet. The peppery pink spread for the scone was one of my favorites.
