Tried their pistachio kanafeh frozen yogurt and it was so good! The frozen yogurt texture was on the icier side but the flavor was so good! It was tart and not too sweet and you can really tell that it was different than the bigger chains like 16 handles and pinkberry. The tartness of the frozen yogurt balanced the richness of the pistachio butter very well and I like how they made it like a parfait so there was pistachio butter through out the cup. The internet brought me to this shop on a Tuesday off, to avoid any lines. There wasn't a line but unfortunately the Kanafe Frozen Yogurt option wasn't available until a new delivery of ingredients on Friday (not sure if this is the general offering during the weekday, since I'm assuming they sell out of everything by Sunday afternoon). Would recommend calling or sending them a DM. The prices are now are $14.99 for that, $9.99 for a plain frozen yogurt, other add-on pricing for fruit toppings, Ferrero Rocher sundae. I bought about 10 small pieces of gummy candies, I think a lot of them are Swedish. Bubby's, a strawberry and cream, one which was nice, a peach slice, an extra sour raspberry piece, a fried egg! It's nice that you can mix & match but for the tiny amount, I paid $4 by weight. Some of the candies were a little bit hard & stuck together in the containers. Maybe the containers aren't very airtight. The shop is a nice idea, a lot of kids were getting out of school from up the Avenue at the time. But it feels half finished - the shelves are slightly stocked with pantry items and international ingredients, feels like a bit of filler items. Or maybe they sold things from the weekend? The shelves are handbuilt & painted. The frozen yogurt machines are 2 little machines up at the front of the store. It feels like a space that the owners experiment with different things for sale. The cost of rent in that area must be really hard, so understand the high price points. Glad that they have good reviews about the quality of their frozen yogurt, but not sure if I would travel back for it. read more

This was good, not fantastic. The store itself doesn't feel like the focus is on the yogurt even tho that's the rep it has. They only have one flavor but the toppings and the way the owner likes to keep it limited is not my favorite. I wanted to customize the toppings and you either get to choose a sauce or get the pistachio whole shebang which comes with nuts, a butter sauce and the pistachio crunch on top of it - for someone who wants to choose their toppings this place isn't for me. It's also very expensive and unnecessary especially because of the lack of topping options and not being able to really choose what you want on it. I've heard the west village location has other flavors and offer different topping options so it might have been the better spot to try for the first time. I'd give it another chance but also feel there should be more flexibility at this location. The yogurt itself was creamy and tart which I like! The Frozen Yogurts were definitely worth the hype and the wait! They still have a long way to go to build a good system though. They were taking their time to serve people. I had gotten my chocolate and strawberry one but then the server left to go help out at the counter. And then by the time I got the pistachio one, the others were melting a lot. They're really capitalizing on the hype because the famous pistachio knafeh frozen yogurt is now ~$15 (!!!) instead of the previous $12. Is it worth it? Probably once to try it. The pistachio syrup and knafeh spread was delicious. I haven't had pistachio with tart, yogurt flavors before (only with vanilla and more creamy flavors), but it was surprisingly delicious. The tartness of the frozen yogurt really cut through the sweetness of the pistachio, and every bite had a little bit of both. The froyo itself has the perfect amount of tart and tang, so much that I think a fruit flavored froyo would taste better than the pistachio.
