    Pistachio Knafeh
    Michelle L.

I know froyo is really having a moment in New York City. I was shopping on the UES and decided to stop at Madison Fare on a sweltering July afternoon. I went with the Pistachio Knafeh @ $15. There was one guy working here and 3 people ahead of me. They all ordered the tart yogurt with raspberry sauce. I thought this was pretty tasty. I thought the pistachio cream and crunchies were a little sparse and for $15 he could have been a little more generous but it was delicious and refreshing and yes, I would return.

Stopped by around 5:30 p.m. on a weekday, and there was no line. It's a small, cute candy shop as well. Ordered the pistachio knafeh froyo. It's a bit on the expensive side for froyo, but it was very tart, rich, and nutty, with a nice crunch.

Stopped by Madison Fare for their froyo with pistachio and knafeh as well as the mango coulis topping. Both were delicious and refreshing in the summer heat. Can't go wrong with either choices.

First time trying one of the hyped froyo places. A friend and I shared the pistachio knafeh, and I thought it was good (mostly because of the toppings) but not amazing. The yogurt was kind of icy. The price ($15) is laughable.

Frozen Greek yogurt "tart" flavor. Drizzle of mango and pistachios.

It's a tiny spot, no fuss and loads of an assortment of candies that you can pick and choose with a scooper. There's only 4 people allowed in the store at a time to avoid crowding in the small space. I loved this yogurt. It was too sweet! Even the mango sauce tasted like real mango. I'll be back for a sweet treat that isn't overly indulgent. The attendant was very efficient.

Our second attempt was successful unlike our first when we trekked across Central Park from the west side but the only machine was broken. So it is a small shop that sells frozen yogurt and other snacks. We got the frozen yogurt with mango and the Dubai chocolate. Both were very good. The level of tartness was great. The service was fast as we were the only ones there. Overall it was definitely a good option for froyo!

Tried their pistachio kanafeh frozen yogurt and it was so good! The frozen yogurt texture was on the icier side but the flavor was so good! It was tart and not too sweet and you can really tell that it was different than the bigger chains like 16 handles and pinkberry. The tartness of the frozen yogurt balanced the richness of the pistachio butter very well and I like how they made it like a parfait so there was pistachio butter through out the cup. On the pricier side, $15 for this flavor but totally worth it!

Good frozen yogurt but I wish they had more options. Personally I like the other viral spots a little more. Portion is huge and shareable which is a plus.

Loved the yogurt here. It was tart but still had that really nice soft texture. There definitely is some added sweetness though so it's not entirely tart. I got the pistachio drizzle as well which was alright, probably would try something else next time. I went on a Sunday evening on a colder day and waited maybe 10 minutes. They didn't have all their toppings available. Overall, good but definitely on the pricier side.

This is probably my favorite frozen yogurt I've tried in the city. I love the mango topping in the summer. It's not too sweet and tastes like real mangos, not mango flavoring. The yogurt is thick and tart and they give you a large serving, sometimes too much to finish. The pricing is reasonable, there is almost never a line. The staff is really nice. The only real downside is they regularly run out of some of the specialty flavors. The shop is small and I've never looked at anything other than the frozen yogurt.

Madison Fare is a viral NYC frozen yogurt spot, famous for its tangy, high-quality Greek yogurt served with unique, gourmet toppings like pistachio knafeh and Dubai chocolate, offering a richer, more probiotic experience than standard froyo, though it's pricier and often busy, with locations on the Upper East Side and Greenwich Village. It's $16 which is high priced but it definitely is a nice balance of tart and sweet. Is it worth all of the hype? I don't know but we had to try it!

Back for the FroYo that's getting lots of social media attention. The store's products have changed significantly since I was last there in January. As opposed to specialty foods it's mostly candy that is sold now. They did seem to have a lot of great options! I didn't notice how much they charge. They only had plain and the pistachio knafeh FroYo available yesterday. Luckily we all wanted the pistachio. Loved the pistachio and knafeh. The FroYo tastes like yogurt so there's a tartness to it. My friends thought it was delicious but not for me (personal preference no reflection on store!). Glad I tried it but for $14.99 not something I'll have again. I'll wait to go back for the hot chocolate.

Wow this is a hidden gem. Such a small place with 2 guys running the shop. Blonde haired guy was still so friendly despite the long line and non stop on his part. An absolute great product. Fresh, creamy, and perfect

The Neapolitan White Chocolate (NWC) variety is part of their limited time spring collection and was first introduced in 2020 (to the best of my knowledge). I'm going to begin with a brief tangent for those of you unfamiliar with Neapolitan Ice Cream. Supposedly it has its origins in the cuisine of the Italian city Naples and the Neapolitan immigrants who brought spumoni to the U.S. Spumoni is an Italian dessert that uses three different flavored (vanilla, cherry, and pistachio) layers of ice cream that resemble the Italian flag. Americans would put their own spin on it by replacing the cherry with strawberry and the pistachio with chocolate. Moving back to the NWC truffles, the outer shell is comprised of a smooth and creamy white chocolate infused with strawberry, while the equally smooth core is a melty milk chocolate and white chocolate truffle. Although Neapolitan is not a favorite ice cream of mine (fruity ice cream is not my thing), Lindt absolutely nails it with all three flavors clearly coming through. Like all the other truffles I've tried from Lindt, the texture is phenomenal. I was a bit skeptical going into this one and only picked these up out of curiosity when I spotted them on clearance. If they could win me over, then you have to give these a try if you're a fan of the ice cream flavor. Doughboy approved Doughboy_Food_Reviews My Favorite Lindt Truffles: 1. Birthday Cake 2. I am a devotee of dark chocolate, and have tried every dark offering it has. Each is superb, even flavor combinations I haven't historically adored (like orange and chocolate - I know it's popular, but it's just not my favorite). That said, my personal favorite is the Anastasia, a hazelnut and dark praline enrobed in dark chocolate. It is exquisite. Service is always excellent. I've ordered in person and over the phone, and have always been so pleased with the staff. The website is helpful when ordering a variety, but if you'd like an entire box of Anastasia, for example, you have to call the Rockefeller Center store and place the order by phone. They ship once a week, and I always have my box fairly quickly. Boxes make terrific gifts ... including for yourself. If you're walking in, I recommend sitting down to enjoy a few pieces of chocolate, then taking the rest in a box with you. There is a cozy but comfortable seating area in the back just for this. This area is also an ideal place to enjoy some of their drinking chocolate. Highly, highly recommend.
