Like all the other softside locations this is a grab and go place. Though this one had a table and 2 chairs outside of it for people to enjoy their frozen yogurt. I got vanilla with the Knicks colored sprinkles. I usually get the vanilla with sea salt and honey and I think there is olive oil on the one I usually get. That to me tasted better than just vanilla with sprinkles. .

Came to Softside for an after-dinner dessert. Their selection of soft serve flavors is pretty small, and there isn't any seating inside, so it's more of a grab-and-go spot. I ended up getting the Cinnamon Toast Crunch milkshake. It tasted exactly how I thought it would, like the milk leftover after eating a bowl of cereal, but it was kind of weird as a milkshake. It wasn't very thick and leaned more on the milky side. The Cinnamon Toast Crunch pieces also didn't really fit through the straw and ended up getting soggy at the bottom. I had to open the lid and scoop them out. I probably should've just gotten a cup of soft serve instead, so maybe I'll give that a try if I come back.

Leaving a review for the gentleman who works here!! He's amazing! I was trying to decide which item to order and he gave us this great sample of the olive oil one. Like actually a small cup of it. It was actually pretty good and I liked it more than I thought I would! We ordered after and he was just so kind. Also love that this place has a jar of lactaid, what a funny touch

You can choose your ice cream and add toppings, milkshakes or sundaes. Got the pistachio chocolate dipped. Didn't love the dip, found it to be clumpy so I ate the ice cream out of the middle. No seating inside, there are a few outdoor tables.

Softside was incredible. The store itself stood pretty unassumingly in the neighborhood but served up some top tier soft-serve which could give a lot of ice cream and gelato spots around town a run for their money. A simple menu with a handful of flavors to choose from, and some unique combinations - this is just the place you want to be in the summers. No lines, not an overwhelming number of choices. Just pure goodness. We got the Pistachio soft serve in a cup, and the Riff which was essentially vanilla bean soft serve, drizzled with olive oil, honey and salt flakes. An absolute work of art. Such a simple concept executed brilliantly. I'll be back for more!

Softside sister of Upside also open now in Nomad is serving up delicious treats. They were giving out samples and I tried the black and white. It's lighter than other soft serves and refreshingly delicious. Pizza and ice cream are a perfect combination.

Got a vanilla sundae with hot fudge and pretzels, and it was really good. Probably one of my new favorite soft serves in the city, but a little bit out of the way for me and also a little pricey.

This frozen yogurt place has a small store front on a fun street. You place your order at the counter and it comes out very quickly. The staff was nice and the place was cute and clean. The actual Greek yogurt was very light and creamy, I'm not even sure how they accomplished it. The price was reasonable. Over all if you don't want a thick Greek yogurt, this is the place for you.

Fast service, and beautiful, photo worthy cones. I literally said, "wow that's beautiful," when I was handed mine! I got the pistachio flavored soft serve, but it really tasted like vanilla.

I had a craving for a sundae but my family was being Debby downers. I should have ordered two since they were in the mood for more refined flavors like olive oil and sea salt . I was in the mood for cookies n crème and chocolate and peanut butter drizzle: decadence. The worker witnessed our bickering and was extremely nice to provide a side of cookies n crème free of charge and of course I tipped him 30% . Which sort of negated the free side but I felt bad haha. The ice cream itself was solid. The pistachio with olive oil and salt was a nice combination. They were pretty generous with the olive oil so I think it would be wise to say light on the olive oil since it was like a soup in the cup. I think this is the place to get decadent flavor combos as opposed to the refined flavors. More of a grab n go place, not sit down.

There are different types of cold treats: gelatos and more slushie like consistency frozen confections that are served in a cup. My vegan friend appreciated that he could choose from multiple vegan flavors, not just be limited to the one and only offering, which is what most places usually have. Melon flavor was incredible. Tasted like frozen melon was crushed with ice and chopped into an ice/smoothie blend. Super refreshing. Very sweet, though. All flavors are very sweet, so a small portion can be shared and you will feel satisfied. I personally enjoyed their in-house special flavor of gelato: honey cream with crushed almonds, pistachios, and hazelnuts. That was bombastic! Love how nutty the consistency was. I love nuts, so this almost reminded me of a chunky peanut butter situation: just more fine grained and smooth, with gelato being the base. Highly recommend trying this flavor! Focacia was okay. A bit too dry and bland for my liking, but still decent. My favorite item was the pistachio bombolone which is officially now my favorite dessert. This was magnificent! The yeasty dough was so light and airy--perfectly light and balanced. The filling of pistachio cream was very delicate and not sweet at all, which was such a nice surprise. I do not like saccharine dessert. The fresh raspberry jam was a perfect balance to the pistachio cream. I never like jams in my desserts, but this was a perfect complement. Woooow, what a treat! Can't wait to return for it and to try more of their other flavors--hazelnut & chocolate, coconut, white chocolate, tiramisu. You could taste the superb quality of the ingredients. Highly recommend.

Upon arrival we noticed the difference in crowds. Not as busy and packed sidewalks. Also it was a lot cleaner than Chinatown. Since we just ate at C-Town, it was time to find a good dessert place in K-Town. So we walked and we walked until I saw a banner sign showing shaved ice desserts. Then I noticed the name of the business is Grace Street. How fitting, because that is my wife's name. So we went in and what caught my eye was a mango shaved ice with mangoes, mochi, strawberries, and condensed milk, however I was over ruled by my wife and we went with the black sesame and mochi and condensed milk. It also had red bean, but that had to be on the side, since that gives me gout. Such nice staff taking orders and we went into the dining area to find a seat. What a large spacious area with many tables. Our order came out and it looked so good. The black sesame shaved ice or snow as it's also referred to as, was perfectly sweetened by the condensed milk and the chewy mochi. Definitely cleaned my pallet from our Chinese lunch and it helped cool me down from the New York heat. We got water, but there was no ice offered, so I asked one of the workers and he was kind enough to get me some. We are through that dessert like, if we didn't finish it fast, it was going to melt. We did not give it a chance to melt one bit. The staff here are efficient, as they saw we were done, they asked to clear our dessert bowl away. It was a nice experience even if it was just dessert. They definitely had more dessert options to offer, but i

Overall, a great casual dessert stop after exploring K-Town, Midtown or nearby Chelsea.

Don't remember what I had the previous 20+ years I went there after a group dinner. This time I was influenced & specifically took a bus over for their corn ice cream. It's STILL the summer of corn. Prices are now average - good for a scoop $7.50 & the portion is good compared to other craft ice cream shops in LES. The corn flavor was good. Medium flavor with that corn sweetness. The quality of the ice cream was excellent, medium creamy & very smooth with the teeniest bit of corn blended. Sampled the hazelnut which was great also - like a thick gelato. Would like to try the lychee next time. They have probably 20 different flavors, displayed well. The staff is patient & very nice. The space is very big for a business in the East Village with mostly a waiting area. 4-5 seats are up front & they set up a few plastic chairs on the side. On a 90°F day, the shop was filled with customers & groups. A stantion at the door with directions for 2 lines would help manage things better.
