The Granada was a really nice shore hotel. The views from the top floor were magnificent, walking distance to the beach. The place was extremely clean and tidy. There are several terraces throughout the property as well as a pool and hot tub, which were also very well maintained. The suite was great with the living room, kitchenette, bathroom and bedroom. We comfortably stayed 4 people in the room and had a great stay. We tried to book it again for July 4th, but it was all booked up. read more

I enjoyed a fantastic stay at the Granada. Although I waa only there 1 night, I can see that an extended beach stay would be comfortable. The kitchenette had a full sized fridge, microwave. and stove top. The motel is located just off the beach- very convenient. There was a pool, hot tub and outside grills. I saw someone fixing bacon and eggs for breakfast this morning. I recommend this motel if you need a place in Wildwood NJ. read more

This was our first visit to the Granada and I haven't been to the Wildwoods in over 35 years. I loved the Granada. It was a well kept, family run business with super friendly, kind owners. The location was great for my beach loving daughter and I loved how safe I felt(traveling with 2 teenaged girls). Our housekeepers were so nice and kept us stocked with plenty of towels and toiletries. I loved the outdoor space to cook food and play yard games. I am looking forward to a return trip! read more

While I spent only one night in this very comfortable motel, it had everything that a traveler could want from a "beachy" motel: Out the door a few steps to the beach, pool with hot tub, grills, hose to wash off feet before entering your room; very comfortable beds, full fridge w/freezer on top; microwave; kitchenette with dishes and silverware; 2 tv's (1 in bedroom and 1 in living room. Rooms are a little dated but clean and perfect for a family vacation. Proximity to ocean and restaurants is good. Plenty of outdoor games for everyone to use along with great outdoor space, chairs and tables to use at no extra cost. Hotel owners were superb. Very friendly, accommodating and helpful. They went above and beyond in an emergency situation of a lost drivers license. We had to leave without it but they found it an hour later and contacted us which relieved everyones stress. This review was going to be a 4.5 but the morning of check out changed it for me. Check in was a breeze. The (I'm Guessing) owners were so fun & very accommodating. We got to New Jersey way early but they let us park and gave us a call when our room was ready. The room was okay - definitely outdated but it had everything you needed. The day of check out I was filling my cooler with ice. The woman from the office came and practically told my brother and I off for using so much ice. I understood and never want to be rude, but it was a big ice machine that I assumed constantly refreshed ice throughout the day. Also, if she had an issue with guests using too much ice then they should have placed a sign - how was I suppose to know? Then the icing on the cake was when she seemed annoyed that I put the ice scooper BACK into the ice machine which is where I found it. Again, no sign, no note. It made me feel small and stupid. I understand common courtesy but you should communicate your expectations with your guests before you have an attitude with them. read more

A wonderful hotel right on the Beach. Parking for one car is included with room. They have their own pool. Our room could sleep six on two double beds and a double pullout couch. The AC worked great on hot July days. There are chairs out side you room and several tables eating, cards, coffee, etc. on the 2nd floor deck and the grand floor common area. We had a great time here. Management was nice and accommodating. Place was clean. View from balcony was amazing! Maintenance staff were very helpful and super friendly. People weren't really socially distancing nor wearing masks. Bbq grills were awesome convenience. Parking is tight. Furniture in room is super outdated and the rugs and couch were stained and dirty. Granada Ocean Resort - Sea view! - Resorts Near Me - Wildwood Crest, New Jersey

We needed a last minute place to stay for Labor Day weekend and we called the Granada Ocean Resort they had openings so honestly we took a chance. Perfect! If you know anything about Wildwood Crest (WWC) you will know most of the hotels were built in the 50's, pre computers etc. and MOST motels are equally the same in terms of room layouts, sizes and amenities. I would say the Grenada is most definitely Neat, clean and very accommodating. Located right at the beach you can't beat the convenience of this Motel. Their pool is heated and have grills for everyone's use. The operators are Dave and Kathy who are native WWC were very friendly and provided us local history as well as great suggestions for diner choices That being said Dave and Kathy JUST purchased the Granada then the Pandemic Hit and we'll, you know, it sucked for business ALL businesses so it stalled what they wanted to do with the upgrades and renovations. I think we will see great things with the Granada as the world regroups and moves forward. Super friendly guests, with inviting and warm operators really made our Labor Day weekend super awesome. After speaking with Dave and Kathy they hope to plan many themed weekend, some adult events (wine tasting weekends etc) I think you should keep the Granada in your next WWC plans. I know we do. My family and I stayed in a room that supposedly slept six but typically sleeps at tops 4 room is very outdated Staff was rude and people were smoking marijuana around the pool so we could not hang out by the pool at all it was a very small tight area so we basically just stayed on the beach.... read more

This is a No-Frills hotel. That being said I had the best two days there. Beginning with my reservation, the owners at the front desk who were so accommodating and sweet and gave us advice on where to go to eat things to do Etc. It's wonderful because the pool overlooks the ocean you can walk directly from the parking lot onto the sand. The new owners are busy fixing it up, so be patient. When we open the door to our room it was inviting. The furniture said Beach, it was clean and you could see they took pride in the way they did everything from folding their towels to the cleanliness. I didn't ask about Wi-Fi but I don't think it was available. But who needs it when you have a beautiful view and the ocean. They have a grill and a little area you can socialize meet other guests. I will definitely go back. This being offseason the price was low. This is my new place to go in wildwood. read more

The worst hotel experience I have ever had. This place is FILTHY! There is absolutely NO demand high enough for this place to merit $300/night, peak season or not. Despite the increased rate, the service was abysmal and the staff did not make up for the difference in price with improved quality of stay. The room was not cleaned before our arrival, as evidenced by the leftovers in our fridge, knots of hair in the shower, and dirty accessories left behind. The front desk was impossible to reach-- several times we even walked in, even just to ask for the wifi password, and the staff closed the curtain from the backroom and ignored us. TAKE THIS TIP: If Granada is your only option before leaving for travel, WAIT UNTIL YOU GET TO WILDWOOD, there are boatloads of cheap motels waiting to take your money. Also, they charge an extra 15% if you pay with credit card (on top of Wildwood's 14% sales tax??? Insane!) and make you pay up front. This was likely wise in their case because despite having already handed out $300 for this pile of dirt, I was tempted to leave early. read more

Great for a little weekend get away. Steps to the bach. Pool and hot tub area outside if you want. The bathroom was clean and had running hot water. The "kitchen" sink had running hot water. Everything was clean and in working order. Dressers were older and handles spun, but that just like every other hotel/motel in Wildwood that is not owned by the Morey's. We didn't use the dressers anyway. Small mini fridge worked and kept beverages nice and cold. Staff was very nice to deal with. Had to wait almost 45 minutes for someone to come back for check out on Sunday morning, but it's the off season. It was before 10am that we were trying to check out and we were not in a huge rush. Overall, we would absolutely stay again. The price was great and room was much better than what we were expecting. read more

The staff was very pleasant and the other guests were as well... that's where the positive part of this review ends, unfortunately. The short story: I found bedbugs in 3 rooms. The long story: We spent a night here and the next morning I spotted a mature bedbug on the ceiling. After checking google and confirming that's what it was, I killed it and notified the staff. They assured me it was a first time problem, which I believed. They moved us to a new room. I checked the beds very thoroughly and spotted a bedbug nymph carcass and after contacting a very good friend in the pest control industry with pictures I started to find out about the painfully tedious process of making sure you don't bring the bugs home with you. I began inspecting and removing my families bags from the room throwing clothes in the high heat clothes dryer and went through every bag with a flashlight and "a fine toothed comb". This whole process took over 4 hours since I did not want to facilitate the spread of the bugs to other places and certainly did not want them in our vehicle or following us home. I checked my sister-in-law's room which was 2 doors down to see if they had anything to worry about and found a living bedbug nymph in their bed as well. We all were done. One can be coincidence, but 3 in 3 different rooms is an immediate NOPE. The woman at the front counter was very accommodating in setting us up with rooms in their motel down the road. I contacted Expedia regarding a refund, since this was a very VERY inconvenient series of events that as a customer, I shouldn't have had to experience and felt the sincere "I'm sorry" and new room just wasn't fully enough compensation for me paying them for a room and then proceed to miss a good part of our family vacation due to dealing with packing, unpacking, packing again, throwing all things that would fit into their high heat dryer, ruining a few pairs of shoes in the process, long bag inspections, packing yet again and loading the car to move down the street and then unpacking again. After speaking with Expedia, they did offer our second night complementary but would not compensate us for the first night's stay in the bedbug room that lead to hours of helplessness and frustration, since we technically slept in the room. Being the empathetic type, I understand they have to make money but discovering 3 rooms with bedbugs should be an automatic free stay for all involved, in my opinion! In closing, I enjoyed the atmosphere and community feeling outside of the rooms, save the loud music late into the night, the staff was friendly so I am sad to write this review but felt it the right thing to do as a traveler who depends on reviews like this in my own booking. It does have a great view! Also, they did say they had a pest control company coming to manage the issue that day but hopefully anyone who stayed here was given notification so they could control the spread of bedbugs, but I somehow don't think that probably is a common practice. 8/9/16 read more

First of all you get what you pay for . The price was cheap and the place was very out dated . The parking is horrible !!!! You have to let your family out of your vehicle before pulling into the space due to how close all the cars are parked next to eachother , which means you will get car dings without a doubt. The beds are horrible and the most uncomfortable thing I've slept on ( excluding the prison mattresses that I've spent a few years on ) . The pillows are hard and stiff and we had to buy a blanket from Walmart due to as my fiancé stated in the middle of the night " I feel like I'm wrapped in a tree bark " . The pool is the best part of the whole place . It was heated and nice but not heated enough for a jacuzzi which the jacuzzi shares the same exact water and temperature and no bubbles at all . The beach is right out the door and the pool is pretty much on the sand . I love the pool and its 8 feet deep and has a edge to stand on inside the water. My family and I had a really good time in the pool . The place is clean and no roaches and things of that nature. Not a total waste of money but would definately look to spend a bit more to get a bit more comfort. And the wifi is horrible . No service . I use wifi and get nothing , I switch off wifi on my phone and I get everything. I hope this was helpful. read more

We were able to check in early, everyone was very friendly, we stayed in the pool late, our room was nice & cool. It's a little outdated but everything worked and served it's purpose! This place is a dump, an that's being polite, you would be better sleeping in the streets Thought maybe we just got a bad room, cause was filthy, AC didn't work an I had the work ANAL carved in my door, so asked to change rooms, an that room we got changed to was not much better. The AC worked but when you changed the temp a puff of smoke would come out an set off smoke detector, asked for a refund after 1st night was told no, also asked for who ever was in charge to call me I'm still waiting for that call. Granada Motel is the WORST!!!The rooms was clean tho. They never changed our bed the housekeepers and Manger Pat said they didnt have nomore bottom fitted king size sheets we stayed for 4days.The microwave was broke,tv volume broke,cabnets was broke,no ice,Pool was dirty.The manager Pat didnt care too much all she said was i feel so bad!!Please dont book your room here! This is the worst place EVER!!! And I didn't even stay there. I made reservation on 6/9/15 and canceled the very next day by phone and email. Spoke to Dawn several time and she told me she would look into it and get back to me. She never got back to me. I called week later bc they charged by cc 50% of my stay. When I spoke to her again she told she would look into and credit my cc, but it never happened. I call back AGAIN... and still didn't get anywhere, still waiting for a phone call back!!! I have to say this was probably the worst hotel I've ever stayed at! It was clean but so outdated and run down ! We had 6 people to one of their rooms and it was so cramped my oldest son and his girlfriend went to another hotel! Upon checking in we got to our room and found we had a room with one noisy air conditioner in the wall. A refrigerator that was held together on the inside with packing tape. The light above the sink frayed and unable to use. An old floor lamp in the front room with only one working light bulb, 4 towels and 2 wash rags for 6 people and no outlets to plug our phone chargers in except one that was crumbling out of the wall. The pool was decent but the hot tub was cold and two dilapidated grills on the patio to use. The location is great but if you're expecting a more upscale stay This is NOT the place for you! We were so anxious to get out of there we left at 9:30 the eve before we were to check out!! Never again! I'd rather stay home! read more
