Great little brewery in an industrial setting right by the airport that's a little hard to find so keep at it. It's there. Indoor and outdoor seating. Kid friendly. The three beers I was allowed to have were all really solid. The beertender was super friendly. No food but I guess they host a regular BBQ food truck that was not there when I was. As I am nearing the end of the slew of Montana breweries I went to a few months ago, Madison River Brewing was one of those on my list to try while on my Big Sky beer odyssey. The beer that I had (and Steve enjoyed too) was the Salmon Fly Honey Rye. Rye beers is a type of beer that I don't come across very often and when I finally do it's a refreshing experience as is the case with this Rye beer. Flavor features to find with this beer are honey, a natural sweetness and rye. The beer is light bodied and has a smooth body to it. This local Brewery in Belgrade MT is wonderful. They have a great variety of beers and their tap room has a welcoming and feel good vibe. You can admire all the gorgeous handblown mugs on the Mug Club wall. All made in Townsend MT. Foodies can enjoy some of the best BBQ in the valley. Good beer but the service made the experience not so enjoyable. The blonde haired woman behind the counter was extremely blunt and rude for no reason. I brought friends to this brewery for the holidays while they were visiting for a few days and she was extremely harsh. She told my friend she was, "being difficult" for wanting her plastic cup filled half way. This bartender then proceeded to fill up two growlers of the women behind us in line with NO problem. Then, she began to hassle us about our masks and about how she, "wanted the place to stay open" even though she had three men sitting at the bar making conversation with her WITHOUT masks. I will NOT go back to this brewery. Very poor servicing skills. read more

I have to say, this is an awesome place for a Tap Room. It's tucked right next to the Brewery with old school wood benches and chairs. 5 stars for ambience. We came here right a 2 on a Thursday so the service was great! No one else was in the place and the bartender gave us all of his attention. We started with two samplers so we could try nearly all their beers. Each one was explained to us as we sampled. After we made our choice, we each got a pint. When I asked the guy what he was going to have he actually poured himself a glass. My kind of place! The beer was pretty great and I really enjoyed their Scotch Ale. They have some sort of mug club where you can purchase a mug, design it, and hang it on their wall to come and use whenever you decided. You still have to pay for the beer but I think there's a fair discount. We saw this happen as we were their and the coolness factor of grabbing a mug off the wall and handing it to the barkeep would be worth whatever they charge for it! read more

We've been in Bozeman for a while, but for whatever reason never made it over (the whopping few miles it is) to Belgrade... and now that we're moving to Belgrade we drove past and stopped in. I can't believe it's taken me this long, and we're so happy to have found it! If you're a hops fan, you're going to love the Dropper IPA, I LOVED it. They have the Salmon Fly, which is a local fave. I really loved all of their beers. April behind the bar was also really nice and funny. We're very happy that this will be our new local/weekend stop and are looking forward to going back soon. Oh - they also do growlers, kegs, 6-packs... so beer go to! Yay! read more

This brewery had done it right! Plenty of tables, but still has that intimate feeling. Our group really like all the beers they tried: Hopper, Dropper, Deceiver, Scotch Ale, and Salmon Fly. What impressed me the most was the wall of gorgeous hand blown glasses in the Mug Club. Evidently there is a long wait to get a glass...each one is different. Popcorn for free, and quick service at the bar. read more

Excellent beer one of our favorite stops. Cool tasting room but kind of hard to find. Its halfway down a building that has other businesses attached and hard to see behind the large shrubs on the road. A sign out on the road would sure be helpful. read more

Best beer in town! Very friendly bar tenders! Their Black Ghost Oatmeal Stout on Nitrogen rather than CO2 is silky smooth. Their Copper John Scotch Ale is my all time favorite. They also make a couple tasty pale ales, the Dropper IPA and the Hopper Pale Ale. They don't always have it on tap, but their light beer is also very good. Free popcorn too! read more

Definitely worth a stop! Great little brewery with a cozy atmosphere. Tried 3 of their seasonals, all were very good. The Coffee Porter was delicious, not too heavy. The Belize Belgian was very good as was the New MT IPA. Not sure if it was a Monday Special but each was only $2.50 a pint. Don't see that very often. Staff was friendly and talkative. It's a little hard to find as its hidden behind a hedgerow part of an industrial complex. We found it on our second pass. Persevere and you shall be rewarded. read more

if i could rate this company a minus 100!! i would! don't bother using this horrible company! we bought two kegs for our sons wedding at $300.00. we were perplexed when first picking up the kegs because owner bruce and bartender julie sent us with two different keg taps. (huh?) one co2 as well as the old fashion pump taps. why should we need a backup? well we found out the hard way. we couldn't at all use one of the kegs because it just poured constant foam. we ended up returning a full keg to madison brewing. (aside from the two or nine gallons of foam) when we explained that we have a ton of unused beer, the owner grabbed a tap, and released a pin (we didnt know anything about) and released the pressure to make the beer pour just fine. well who the hell knew bruce?? you never told us about that. he wouldnt even discount the returned full keg. he was very condescending to us, saying it was operator error. which is interesting because he never told us about a release pin. it was obvious that the employees here are drinking and forget what they are telling what and to whom. as competitive as the micro brewing industry is in bozeman i would think that they would be somewhat customer service oriented. not so. dont spend your money for foam and bad drunken attitudes. shame on you madison brewing. read more

Solid. Best brewery in Montana (Big Sky, Great Northern are also in my top MT 5). The Juice Double IPA is outstanding. They have a mug club for regulars. You can buy people drinks and leave them messages/gifts on the whiteboard. Kegs? Check. 6 packs? Check. Multiple growler options? Check. Good prices? Check. Outstanding beer? Check. I recommend the Hopper, The Juice, and the copper ale. read more

Great tap room!! Real genuine tap room feel, not a bar. Being from Wisconsin and numerous microbreweries MRB would rank up with the best of them! We always stop there when making our microbrew tour to Montana. I love the Irristable Amber, my favorite of all time, while my son-in-law feels the same about the Double Juice IPA. If you want a great beer, authentic tap room feel and friendly service then the MRB is a must stop! read more
