I had dinner with a coworker here and I must say that the inside is very cozy and family friendly! The food was honestly wholesome! I ordered the steak sandwich and the wings and shrimp for appetizers. The staff was courteous and friendly! The only thing I found odd was the location as this establishment was in an industrial part of Burr Ridge and shares a lot with a trucking/towing company. Otherwise I honestly still crave their food! Off the bat, I'm gonna start off rough and say that a peach Bellini is NOT champs and peach juice. Worst $5 ever spent on a cocktail. BUT.... I'm here for the burgers. Everything else has always looked amazing too, but of my recent cheeseburger craving trips - the jalapeño burger is fabulous. (I've had both fresh/sliced jalapeños on it as well as the pickled jar kind - fresh is way better). Cozy atmosphere with mostly locals or employees of local businesses as it's kinda off the beaten path - but I live and work in the area so I'm OK with that. My only other beef aside from the terrible knock-off peach Bellini is that they were advertising 15% off on carry out orders via FaceBook but when I arrived for my order (stay-at-home-restaurants-closed era); I was told "that starts tomorrow" Probably free beer tomorrow too, eh? read more

I would give it 0 stars if I could. The bartender Tanya couldn't of been more rude and useless. Took forever to even get us drinks. Even longer to get food order. She never refilled me or my wife's drinks. Food was horrible. The. Chicken sandwich I got was gray inside. She walked by several times and saw we needed refills and never got them. I enjoy the decor and ambiance, but it is overpriced for what you get. Also, many of the beers on the menu were no longer available on tap. This was my second visit to Madison's. The atmosphere is pleasant, and I like that there is both a bar side and a quieter restaurant side to choose from. Both times the food was good and the service was friendly. My complaint is the pricing. I feel for the quality and portion size the prices are somewhat high. My boyfriend ordered the Cobb Salad which was $14.00 without adding a protein. The salad was very small, served in what would be a side salad or dinner salad bowl. We were both surprised by this. Again, a nice place with decent service and food, just a little skimpy on the portions. read more

Found this hidden gem, right here on yelp and boy am I happy I did! Popped in here for a late lunch and was immediately in love with the atmosphere and the delicious aroma that greeted me as I topped the enterance stairs... I was delighted that as I was browsing the menu, the gal serving a different area slowed down as she passed us to show off the well plated deliciousness headed to another customer as to entice us. That alone spoke volumes. Fast forward, our food comes... wowza is it delicious! Judge me but I had an odd mix as it all sounded so good. I had the Buffalo Wings, the Beet Salad with Cranberries and Walnuts, and Steak Bites accompanied with roasted peppers and portabella mushrooms! YUM! So the Steak and Beets were amazing but what really impressed me, oddly enough was how crispy and perfectly seasoned the buffalo wings were! Perhaps I was just really hungry but wow, these were outstanding! The owner Tony came by and greeted us and appreciated our passion for food, and clearly was a mutual feeling. One of my cousins had been here before and suggested Madison's Pub and Grill for a convenient spot to meet another cousin. On the drive here, he talked about a pork tenderloin sandwich that he had the last time he was here. That pork tenderloin sandwich seemed to be a fond memory for him. We arrived about 12:30 PM. Our plan was to miss the lunch crowd and by the looks of the parking lot, our plan was a success - - there were only a few cars in the lot. I liked the look of the outside of the building. Unfortunately, due to the building being gray and the sky being overcast, my pictures were not very good. The interior is very pleasant. The hostess gave us a choice of regular tables or high top tables closer to the bar. I preferred the regular table, the guys agreed and she led us to a nice table by the window. One of my cousins chose the Chicken Pesto on Flatbread though he considered the Patty Melt. Both sounded good to me. The other cousin opted for the Patty Melt instead of the memorable pork tenderloin sandwich for this visit. I decided on the Patty Melt also. We chose coleslaw as our side. It was a very nice amount of coleslaw - - it tasted good, but was not the best I ever tasted. I do believe the Patty Melt WAS the BEST that I have ever tasted! Both of my cousins were very happy with their choices also. If you've read any of my reviews, you know that coffee is important to me. Well, I must say that I was VERY happy with their coffee! The hostess was pleasant and accommodating. I liked that our server approached and told us his name--I think it was Jack. He was very nice and very efficient. He checked regularly to see if we needed anything. The parking was good. The atmosphere was cool. The food/drinks were pretty great. The service was excellent. The bathroom was clean. If I could give this no stars, I would. Came here on a Sat night, group of 5. Took 15 minutes to get our waitress to come to table and had to ask to have that happen. Then we continued to get lies about service, not get our glasses of water, and had 4 meals served and the 5th didn't hit the table till the rest of us were done. The final meal was still missing the side and never did get it. I had the Garlic Crusted Grouper and it was so salty I had to scrape the crust off. We asked what was in the veggie side, and was told zuchini, squash and carrots, and it came as just carrots and a tone of green beans. Horrible experience...not sure how this place could ever have gotten good reviews. Stay away. read more

This was our first visit & although it wasn't terrible, it wasn't that great either. There weren't many patrons on a Saturday night, but I think the location is part of the reason. We ordered the spinach artichoke dip, mushroom & truffle pizza, shrimp and spinach flat bread & the kale salad. The spinach and artichoke dip was the highlight of the night. Creamy, flavorful & exactly what we hoped for. Really, it is a must try. The kale salad wasn't bad I guess but it wasn't a kale salad - it was a spring mix with pieces of kale throughout... not exactly what my co-diner was looking for. That said, he said the salad was still good. Now, I was really excited for the mushroom truffle pizza. That was not up to par either. The pizza was dry & there was not a bit of flavor on it. Seriously, when you say truffle, you expect that flavor & that was not accomplished here. The flat bread was eh as well, nothing to write home (or to Yelp) about. When we were leaving we ran into a group of people who had just left because they kitchen was closed. CLOSED. On a Saturday night at around 9:30? Who does that?! Hopefully, they were just getting their bearings due to them recently opening. We will give them one more shot & hope our experience is better. read more

As the one who suggested we give this place a try, I was a little disappointed in the overall ambiance of the restaurant. The food was decent and our server did a fine job, but the place lacks a personality that was noticeable to all in our group. The food was actually better than I thought it was going to be based on how the place just felt to me. My fish tacos were quite tasty and my friend went with the BBQ chicken Flatbread at our server's suggestion and, while a little overwhelming with the BBQ flavor, was a large portion that was certainly shareable. The salads were also quite good. It wasn't busy on the night we were there so I was also a bit surprised it took so long for the drinks to come up. But our server, Elisabeta, was great, apologizing for the delay and making sure our food came up quickly. The prices are reasonable and there is plenty of parking. I just wish it felt more like the neighborhood place it looks to be from the outside. read more

Went here due to a trip in Chi-town and found on yelp a half mile from the delta hotel. Lights out burgers (I had jalapeño burger my buddy had the classic). It was packed 7:15 on a Friday eve. Burger and fries came out hot and delicious. I would recommend this as elevated bar food and WILL be back next time in Chi-town. read more

Such a great place! Friendly staff, INCREDIBLE FOOD! Our group had wings for an appetizer, and for our meals: strip steak sandwich (hubby said the steak needed a little more flavor so he put A1 on it), a turkey burger that was outta this world dripping with sautéed onions and really good mustard sauce and perfect sweet potato fries, a bbq chicken flatbread (with gouda cheese-how magical is that?), and burgers that were devoured by the carnivorous bunch we had. Even the kids menu was AMAZING. I would have eaten the chicken fingers-so tasty-not dry at all and very good breading. Mac and cheese was beautiful. They used a unique noodle and the cheese looked all gooey and delish. We also had some good beers (bottled served with chilled glasses). We will definitely return! read more
