Hi Boris, Unfortunately, driving back and forth from San Diego to Signal Hill isn't cost effective. If the rear portion was the only fitment issue, it would have solved the issue. The front portion also doesn't fit correctly. Also I wrote this review months ago and you are just addressing it now. I ordered two items from you, both with issues and you put the onus on me to prove and resolve them. Long story short, I placed an order in March, and it took almost five months to get anything resembling a usable tune for my Land Rover. Throughout the entire process, the customer service was extremely disappointing. They refused to let me return equipment I had purchased, even though it was unused, and eventually passed me off to someone in the UK for assistance. Kris at the Texas location has, to this day, never returned a single phone call. The tuner assigned to my vehicle was unable to successfully tune it. Instead, they had to send me multiple packages, including a laptop and specialized equipment, and I had to individually connect wires to points on my ECU and bench-flash it multiple times before we could finally get a tune that would even work without triggering a check-engine light. They also offered me a transmission tune to make up for the incredible amount of time, frustration, and what I feel was negligence throughout the process. Unfortunately, that didn't work either because my vehicle simply would not accept the tune. After all of this, they offered me a partial 50% refund for the tuner--which was essentially useless to me at that point--and I still have not received it. The only refund I received barely covered the cost of shipping all of their equipment back to their Texas facility. What should have been a fun experience turned into nearly five months of frustration, wasted time, and poor communication. This industry is supposed to be about enjoying and improving your vehicle, but this entire experience completely sucked the fun out of it. I would strongly caution anyone considering doing business with them, especially if you have a vehicle that requires anything outside of a straightforward, basic tuning process. read more

I bought two items from Madness. One was an Alfa Romeo Giulia Center Console Switch Bank Trim Set - Carbon Fiber - Pre '20 Models for $464 and the other was a Car cover for $162. Once they accepted my order for trim set, they then informed me it would be 5-6 weeks. Nothing on the site indicated it wasn't in stock. When I finally got it, It had no instructions on how to install. Nothing on their site. It looked ok dry fitting but once the tape was put on, it didn't fit. I sent them photos and told me it looked like it wasn't trimmed right. They would get back to me. I had to constantly chase them and they told me it may be the tape used. They gave me a specific tape to use (bought on my own, not included). Had to pry the trim up, clean with alcohol and residue. Still didn't fit. Told them this and heard nothing. Followed up and got passed over from Art to Eric. He said he thought he sent me a response but didn't. Then told me the manufacturer recommended slipping the back side under the plastic trim. I told hm I was concerned that the trim might crack if I removed it again. He told me he was surprised as he thought we were in the fit up stage. I guess Art didn't fill him in. I told him I was concerned that if I tried to remove it again, it might break and want assurance that they would replace it. All he offered was for me to drive from SD to Long Beach and they would do it for free. Guess Eric doesn't know the price of gas. That would be at least $80. This was not a cheap purchase and would have expected a set of directions, website videos, some better direct guidance. Then I received the car cover. It was for the wrong model. It didn't come close to fitting. In order for them to believe me, I had to have my wife take photos of me trying to put it on. They then believed me and I wanted a few days to see a replacement delivery tracking number being sent to me. When I saw nothing, I contacted Art and was told I had to return the other one before sending a replacement. Another inconvenience for a problem caused by them. For both of these items, they didn't offer me anything for all the extra effort I had to make due to their poor process. Slick websites do not good businesses make. Don't buy from them. Will send you faulty products - say over the phone that customers have been having similar issues, yet then deny that the product is faulty in writing over email, how convenient. Even though saying the product is not faulty, they'll interestingly enough take the item back and send you a new one (which I don't want - you sent me a faulty device to begin with and I no longer have faith in your products) yet refuse you a refund. Now that I've actually done my research on these crooks I see similar reports from other dissatisfied customers around the web. I ordered one of the aftermarket Android based head units for my wife's FIAT 500 after the OEM unit quit working. The first unit shipped proved to be defective and I had to return at my expense to the team in California. That is when I found out that Jeremy at the Texas location was more experienced with the unit. He has been helpful in finally getting the product to work in the car. There aren't many places that know Alfa romeos like these guys, amazing parts and excellent service. Came to get an install and it was much quicker than quoted, greeted with a smile and felt welcomed the whole time. The waiting room, restroom were both flawless, not the usual nasty conditions you'd find in a car shop. I swear the garage floor was so clean and shiny you could eat off of it. At first glance the labor rate seemed a bit high compared to other sub par places, but when you're this professional and capable, the price is nothing but fair. Granted my Giulia is a lease and I won't go too crazy on mods, but if I were to need another install I'd drive all the way to Long Beach from chino again in a heartbeat. I really wanted to make this my go to shop for both performance and routine maintenance on my fiat 500 turbo, but after the part delay, miscommunication on window tint acceptance in the state of California, and a guy named Art I believe.... I won't be returning to this shop anytime soon. First off, I took my car in bc my front end was not right due to a curb accident I had. I was told it was the lower control arm. I said ok and ordered the part. my car lower control arm took longer than expected, which I understand shipping is a hot mess right now, but after me calling several times and not getting a direct answer then finally after 2 wks they told me information on where and when it would be in. I got the lower control arm replaced but I noticed that the alignment was still off. No one said they didn't have the equipment to finish the job right. When messing with the front end even a little bit.. an alignment would be necessary.. in most cases the toe will be off. Which is the reason why I didn't have it repaired at the last shop I had my car at. When I brought my car back in for the window tint correction i asked about the alignment and Art said it wasn't done bc they don't hire out and that the alignment would have to be a hired out job due to them not having the equipment to do so. Second, I saw they did window tint said I wanted whatever percentage on the front, can't remember now bc it's been a while, and a darker one on the back. When I picked up the car I noticed the entire car was done with the lighter tint. I called and mentioned this, brought it back in, and was told the job was done right. Well, it wasn't bc I had taken my car to 2 tinting shops and the police department to have a meter read bc the guy they used to OUTSOURCE my window tint "didn't have his meter bc he left it in his customers car". I told the guy they OUTSOURCED I could wait. Keep in mind the reason why my alignment wasn't done was bc they would have to OUTSOURCE. After many attempts to contact this guy, All I got back was nothing from him. I call back to speak to Eric, which he is the only reason why I'm giving 3 stars instead of 1, and got art on the phone. He was a complete A..hole to me. Pretty much told me I didn't know what I was talking about. Little does he know I've been racing my entire life in the fascar/autocross/motocross since I was 15. My first job was a junkyard, my parents own a car shop back home, and my dad is an executive for monster jam. I'm a girl, so this background is not common. I get it. My previous car was 1999 Miata with an engine swap to a V8 aka as a monster Miata of which I did the entire engine swap myself and I sold it as a demo car for Mazda speed. My other cars were a super charged 1999 candy apple red prowler, 1999 corvette, and a 2001 Z06. So with that being said. I'm not uneducated about cars. Sad thing is I'm not super familiar with suspensions and have always had help with that end. Otherwise I would have tried to fix this issue myself. With that being said, my car still doesn't drive right after the $900 plus I put into it. So now I have to find another shop to help me try to fix the situation I originally went to this shop for. I would have been more inclined to come back to continue to figure out my front end situation and would have had zero problems with continuing to pay for additional parts and labor to get it rectified. Unfortunately the times I had to deal with Art has made me very hesitant on coming back in. Sad, bc it's a gorgeous shop and Eric was nice. I hope that who ever reads this has a little better experience than I did, I hope Art learns better customer service, and hope anyone that goes to the shop really only deals with Eric. Overall it's a decent shop, just needs a little fine tuning on the customer service end. read more

The knowledge base and great technical support from Art and Eric are truly invaluable for anyone who ones a fiat 500 regardless of the model or year. My 2012 nero black Abarth has been transformed from the several visits of having parts/required maintenance work done at this premium and visually cool automobile shop. These guys are truly passionate about the level and quality in service they provide to the point even Matt Farrah of the smoking tire extremely popular podcast and YouTube channel recommends them for any Abarth enthusiasts with performance enhancements. Owning a fiat outside of a warranty can be a little concerning considering the folklore of Italian cars being finicky and not dependable but with the go to of having Both Art and Eric with providing excellent customer service and mentorship in the goals you'd like to achieve in having your Fiat provide you a great driving experience. My work included full suspension updates and some tweaks mechanically to get my beloved Abarth ready for some spirited canyon driving here in Los Angeles I plan on continuing my services and support through this great shop for years to come. Shameful experience - do not recommend. Mistakes happen, and given the current pandemic, I feel we all need to exercise a bit more patience & understanding. That said, the staff at Madness has left me with no choice but to leave this review. I placed an order for a 2-piece set of carbon fiber trim on July 1st, 2020. "Due to the Covid situation", I was advised to wait 3-4 weeks for the parts to arrive. Having heard nothing 6 weeks later, I called in for an update & was told my parts had arrived & would be shipped shortly. On August 22nd, I received my order, but only 1 of the 2 pieces was inside (of course this was the only piece I really needed). I immediately called to report the incomplete delivery & was told that someone would followup with me by the end of the business day. This never happened. I made (at least) 4 more unreturned calls over the next month, finally insisting on speaking to the Operations Manager. I did get through & received what I felt was a sincere apology: "That never should have happened. I'll look into this". He confirmed that an error had occurred - my part wasn't originally shipped from the overseas manufacturer (who I am certain is Koshi Group) but it had been re-ordered, was now stateside, and would be shipped to me that week. I was also promised I would receive a tracking number by the end of the day. It has now been FOUR months. No tracking number. No part. No accountability. Just prior to leaving this review, I made two MORE calls to Madness... the first time I was answered by a sales rep ("I'll have someone call you right away") & the second time I left a voicemail - making it clear that if someone... anyone didn't followup with me within a week's time, I would leave this review. I personally notified him about my car sputtering during idle & he told me to come in to have it scanned to see what the mishap was. (Only issue was my own rush cutting the bumper hole....but that's my bad. Pole ladder? Looks awesome! Skid plates, in stock and fast ship! I still think the Renegade is a "wanna be" Jeep, but with a lift and bigger tires it's made it into some pretty remote country during quarantine. New rotors are cross drilled and slotted, with hawk ceramic pads, and was $100 less than the dealership quoted me for stock. Moment of truth, I'm in the waiting area still waiting for our Abarth 500. Purchased the "Trio" which is the ECU, go-pedal and Air intake. Planning on coming back for a lowering kit and short shifter. The experience so far has been great. Both through the communication over the phone with Allen and in the store with John. Boris the owner was also around and welcomed us and appreciated our visit, along with the purchase. The only bad thing (not by 500, but me lol) is that I high reeved the engine on the way down here to Long Beach, so they had to cool the engine down with a fan. Their lounge are is chill as hell, but they might need a bigger tv. April 2012 purchased my Nero and Russo Abarth at Tonkin Fiat in Portland, Or. Since 500 Madness was in LA my first several purchases were done online. Loved their selection of parts and accessories to personalize my Abarth named Brat. April 2013 Aaron another Abarth owner and I loaded up my Brat and head to Las Vegas for the Abarth Experience Day on the Track. We left Portland early evening and stopped in Eugene to pick up VooDoo donuts that were to be the payment for our accommodations when we reached Vegas the next afternoon. The morning following we were up early and we spent the whole day with Abarth owners competing against and sharing stories of the fun we all have with our Abarths. Amazing Day.... At the end of the day our team was announced the winner of the competition. Talk about exciting. Our next adventure started early the next morning as we headed the Brat towards Signal Hill, Ca. and shortly after lunch arrived at 500 Madness. Everyone one was very friendly and even happy to hear our story. Boris gave us the tour of the facility and showed us their collection of Fiats. Loved their Vintage Abarth race car. We were introduced to Joseph who let us spend time taking in the Madness experience and understood that even after the amazing day we had the day before this was one of the major highlights of our trip. We were highly successful in purchasing several accessories that would make the trip back to Oregon with us. Good thing we don't live closer. It is very hard to not want just one more thing as you look around. April 2014 called Joseph to get my current fix of Upgrades for the Brat. After a little deliberating decided on the Lowering Springs by Nue-F and the 8 ball shift knob by Black to go with black leather boot with red stitching (previous Madness purchase). I appreciate the time and effort Joseph takes to make sure I end up with the right items for what I'm wanting to do with my Abarth. I am also working on my next list. I'm a major car guy, and have been one all my life. That said, I am VERY picky about what companies I deal with and what parts/products got installed on my cars. Support, quality, functionality, and fitment are all major factors for me, as are advertised performance gains. Taking this into consideration, i have dealt with Madness several times for Alfa Romeo Giulia parts, as well as parts for my 124 spider. The hype is real - their parts work amazingly well on these applications. They know the cars they work on and run a fair, honest, business. This is why I ship parts across the country from them - their products work and they are always available to help. I've even had reps and techs support an install via phone. I had a small issue once with an order and they took care of it immediately and they were incredibly helpful and polite. They do exactly as they promise. Packages arrive in 2 days from across the country. There is a reason all of the members from the 124 and Giulia sites deal with these guys so much - it's because their parts and service are great. Just recently picked up a SpiderDome cover from them and had it insanely quickly, and fit and finish of the product is perfect. As you can see, I even deal with them for CAR COVERS...haha. terrible customer service never received my order that I paid for wouldn't refund my money buyer beware!!!

Avoid like the plague. took two months to get the item I ordered dispatched, this was only sent after I asked for a refund. The item was the wrong item. Madness then played another set of silly games and stalled over a month with the paypal case. I am now left with an import tax bill, shipping costs and three months of frustration. This company is an UTTER joke. read more
