First things first, online it also showed a non-vegetarian items. But at the restaurant, told they needed to update the website. My expectations were very high when I ordered the masala dosa but found the chutney to be spoiled, a big turn off. Wife tried the paneer makhani, she wasn't impressed either. The vada too was mediocre at best. The idli however was delish and masala Chai good. Always start with parking - it was easy as this location is in a residential area strip mall. We went on a Sunday afternoon. Upon entering around 1:30pm, the restaurant was completely empty. However by 2pm they were at about 40% capacity. Started off with a Mango Lassi. It was delicious!!! My friend thought it could have been sweeter but I thought it was perfection! Next we had some of these donut looking things. I forgot the name but they came with two dipping sauces and both were great. The only reason I didn't give this place 4 stars is because I didn't try enough dishes. Finally, the main course - DOSA! It was my first time trying this traditional dish. I thought it was was delicious - just wish there was more filling inside. We shared two among two people and it was the perfect amount. The service was great with a friendly staff. They seemed to be traditional Indian folks which I really appreciated. They were able to explain the dishes perfectly and always had a smile. PS - this place is great if you need vegetarian options. I have yet to find a solid South Indian restaurant in South Florida, so I went to check out Madras Cafe. Though I was excited, I found this restaurant to be below average. The service was extremely slow even when the restaurant was not busy. I think they are lacking staff members. Along with this, the food lacked the true South Indian flavor that belongs in items such as Dosa and Sambar. My friend and I tried the Paneer Wings (which were just cubes) and two different types of dosa. The food was very oily and did not taste completely fresh. The prices did not justify the quantity of food either. There was also a small hair in the Paneer but the owner was kind enough to discount the item. The restaurant is fairly clean but has some fruit flies flying around. The ambiance is casual and the staff is friendly. This restaurant has true potential but they need to change a lot of things starting with the service and quality of food. read more

WOW!!!! I didn't know food could taste sooo good! Came here with my brother (as usual). First time visiting this attractive establishment. The ambiance was quiet and welcoming. The service was perfect. The food ... where do I begin?! We ordered the Tofu Ya Potato and Madhuri Masala Dosai. Oh my word! Where has this restaurant been all my life?! I don't think I've ever had Indian food so good. So flavorful. Literally cooked to perfection! It was so good my greedy self ordered another Tofu Ya Potato (I luv'd the cashew cheese taste). Good Indian food. We had the samosa chaat, bhel puri and then a few different dosas and they were all delicious. Good clean restaurant, friendly staff and fast service too. Amazing!!! the mysore dosa and the chicken 65 goat biryani were... chef's kiss! The chaat and chai were super lovely too. It's seriously one of the best Indian food experience I've ever had. I wish I could give a 3.5 The place is newer so still somethings they have to work out but nothing really major for me not to go there again. The staff was really nice and our food was good. Everything was timely. They had no issue explaining anything on the menu for us. Lots of options for vegans and vegetarians. Good size place to dine at. Also we were the only non-Indians there at the time so that's a good sign about the food. I know when I went they did they were waiting on permits from the city to have a small buffet option. Looks like the restaurant did not catch on or is on its last leg. I was the only customer on Wednesday at 12:15. I had the smoked eggplant stew and the eggplant was cooked in the deep fat frier. This was my first time at this restaurant. We ordered to go masala dosa, chicken 65 and tamarind rice. I will say they did keep authentic flavors for everything that we ordered. The place looked clean. The only thing, I would say is the portion of rice for the price they charged. The portion was small. But I will definitely visit again as for me authentic taste is important. Near to the Indian grocery store Patel brother's. I was recommended by one the grocery store staff to check this place out since my daughter wanted to eat dosa. The staff were friendly and very welcoming. They have a great menu wish I could have tried more stuff there. The dosa was amazing and the dahi vada sure were a hit for me. Pros: 1. Food taste is good. Cons: 1.Compare to quantity of food, price is expensive 2. No price for few items. For eg. Mango Lassi, normal price in other restaurants are $3-3.5. Here, when we order considered price in similar range since items was not on the menu card. It's my additional place to go! Love the dosa and spinach paneer the flavor is just perfect for me! I love the wheat chapati . It's a family owned and they are all kinds. The place is clean and so is the restroom. Upon entering, it's a bit dark but welcoming. Place smells clean and fresh. That tells you they put pride in their dishes. This is such a delicious surprise. When you're looking for vegan dishes with spectacular flavors, this is the place. I had the Sambar for a starter and the soup was wonderful. It had the spiciness that you expect but still it felt smooth. Then I had the Tofu and Chickpea. This is a mild curry dish that smells amazing. When you get that first bite it so silky and bursting with flavor but not too overwhelming. It's the right touch for a little kick in your step. I finished with the carrot pudding... it was warm and comforting! It was exactly what I needed for a sweet ending of a meal! I honestly enjoy every minute here! OMG!! This was as amazing as it gets for South Indian food! Rava dosa and Uttappam were absolutely authentic Udupi style (which is the best South Indian style in india. Think Kamat in Bangalore). Dosas were okay - coconut chutney was good but sambar is not that great. Vada was really bad. It must have been fried in old oil /re-heated or something; they ended up being bitter. I couldn't eat after the first vada. Cauliflower and paneer wings were good. They didn't have coffee. Poori, they said, is going to take 45 min to make.
