I received the help I needed and decided to stop in to actually try out their menu. Between the hostess and the bartender, everyone was there to answer any questions I had and they were so kind. Qui Qui feels very homey and the menu definitely reflects that. I'm not Puerto Rican myself but grew up around a lot of people from PR and this reminded me of home. I ordered off of their happy hour menu which was a bonus for a Sunday afternoon. I tried the beef empanadas and fried pork with tostones and also got a passion fruit margarita. It was all delicious and tasted fresh. I'm looking forward to visiting again!

We've gone once just the two of us and the rest of the time we have brought friends and ordered a bunch of things to share with the whole table. My favorite items are: - Ensalada verde - so fresh! so delicious! big enough to share with at least 1 -2 other people - Asopao - OMG every time I die for the rich rice/shrimp/crab combination - Ensalada de pulpo - El OG - tres leches cake We've also sampled the drinks, and they're also good. I don't eat beef, but my friends also enjoyed the pastelillos. This spot is very popular, so be sure to book a reservation if you want to go at peak times!

It was so tender and flavorful, literally falling off the bone. The curry goat as well was incredibly good, very tender and a lot of meat. Rice and peas was the best side I tried. Some of the best food I have ever tasted, I am not exaggerating. Portions were great, left feeling STUFFED. Service was kind, professional, and actually very quick. Menu was super straightforward and easy to understand, even for someone who has never eaten Jamaican food before. It's extremely clean and professional inside, very welcoming. And prices are very reasonable, especially considering the size of the portions. Would definitely suggest getting the oxtail with rice and peas and some sort of vegetable for the best all around eating experience. Jerk chicken patty is also a nice option if you're looking for something quicker. Please try this place. You will NOT be disappointed.

I then waited another 45 minutes for the food and was told it would take an additional seven minutes - -turned into 20mins for the beef patty. The restaurant clearly has high customer traffic, so I hope the food is good enough to justify the excessive wait. However, the lack of communication, urgency, and any attempt to compensate for the delay made the overall service experience extremely disappointing. Food satisfaction: Pending.
