Located in downtown Lebanon, I never made it inside, but they have a nice outdoor seating area that allows you to people watch and experience the downtown bustle of Lebanon. I ordered their lettuce wraps for an appetizer (which I'm disappointed that I forgot to take a picture of) that were beautiful! The romaine leaves they used were HUGE and so green, so crispy and the chicken stuffing was delicious! For my entree I had their pork pad thai. I had forgotten to ask for the peanuts on the side, but they had automatically put them on the side for me which was a nice surprise. I didn't see the typical cilantro or lime along with it, but the taste was delicious, and the level of heat was perfect. The owner came out to check on us and chatted a bit with us which I love about local restaurants. When owners take the time to come out and meet customers, it makes it more personal and sends a lovely connection to their customers. I came in with a group of 7 about 30 minutes before they closed and they were still very welcoming and happy to see us. Got our orders perfect and the food was SO GOOD! This was our first visit and it was wonderful. My wife and I went for our anniversary. The restaurant is very clean and the staff are very, very friendly and attentive. Our order was taken in a reasonable amount of time from us being seated. The food came out in reasonable amount of time as well. All I can say about the food was "Wow!" Overall, we had a lovely experience and we look forward to bringing our daughters and family back again. This was the best Thai food that we have had since we were deployed 20 years ago. read more

Make this 4.85 stars. How can you possibly fault a restaurant where the owner comes to your table three times to be sure everything is perfect? It was pretty close to perfection. We discovered this gem while walking the downtown, leg stretching from a drive Seattle-Detroit-Asheville. Lebanon appears prosperous and the downtown reasonably alive and well. So Mae Ploy's very nice environment a welcome respite from the insane I-75 we were fleeing. They offer an extensive menu. Good, fresh and very quickly served Thai-food in the Seattle style (whatever that is). We enjoyed the food and the friendly atmosphere (see I-75, above). We had enough left-overs for two motel dinners the next two nights. They make you feel good about being there. read more

I have to say the food was amazing. I had the yellow curry chicken and some sushi. Top notch! I'm giving 3 stars because the service was horrible. The waiter really tried hard and was friendly but the wait for food was forever and the wasn't served with correct plates... I don't know maybe it's just a busy Friday night and they were overwhelmed or they're still trying to knock off the rust after COVID... Just seemed disorganized.... Best Thai in all of Cincinnati, hands down. I'm a huge fan of Thai food and have been to probably 90% of all the Thai restaurants in the area. We went there for Mother's Day. The place was packed (like a lot of restaurants on Mother's Day) and yes, as others have said, the service is not the quickest. That said, they've just opened and are very popular so I'll give them a little while to get their footing before dinging them. Even though food took a little longer than expected, the staff was very attentive when it came to drink refills and such. The only suggestion I'd have for the owners on the food is... give some additional levels of heat for the food, Thai hot wasn't really very spicy, luckily the khruang phrung (condiment caddy) is available to set the spiciness to your liking. That said, I'll be going here often as the prices are fair and the food is terrific... this is an absolute gem to have in downtown Lebanon. read more

AMAZING! I got the vegetable garden with the 3rd spiciest option! It comes with rice and it was delicious! Just enough kick and everything was beautifully displayed when it was brought to us. I did get chicken, which was not much but still very good! The chef herself even came out and apparently she does every time she has guest! Such a nice gesture! Superb Thai in relaxed environment. Kitchen serves up authentic dishes and nice portions. Employees work hard... and it's a safe and reasonably priced environment for families. Indoor plastic curtain dividers installed between tables. Outdoor sidewalk table seating also an option when weather is nice (DORA beverage district) I don't often write reviews, but our family has recently enjoyed this spot in downtown Lebanon on two occasions. Our first time here and let me tell you the bartender, Hunter is phenomenal! We were sitting outside having a cocktail with the sampler appetizer which was amazing. We had driven 30 minutes and we're from out of state when after our appetizer, Tong told us that there was no sushi. ( the sushi chef was on vacation) When it took a lil while to figure out what to order he became upset and then when we asked to go inside - he really became aggravated. Completely didn't check on us anymore even tho it remained under his ticket. The owner had come out and was so sweet ! Found this gem using Yelp and the reviews of others. Right on the main drag of Lebanon, we had a table on the sidewalk. The menu is extensive and the wait staff is very knowledgeable if you want to try new dishes. There's a nice heat scale for the dishes in case you do or don't like spicy. Had the Pad Thai, and it was a sizable portion and delicious as the reviews stated. I plan to be more adventurous the next time. read more

This place is great. It is located right on Main Street next to the Broadway Antique Mall. You can sit in the front room & people watch as you eat totally delicious Thai food. The Family dined this evening at Mae Ploy's for the first time. It was a rousing success! My daughter had the "Khao Soi" at the suggestion of our server, and she says it was one of the best dishes she's ever had! My wife had the "Pineapple Fried Rice" and enjoyed it equally to other high-end Thai restaurants. I had the "Island Hot Plate," one of the Chef's Specials, on a 4/5 heat, and though very spicy, it was perfect for me. The restaurant is within throwing distance of The Golden Lamb in Lebanon, and Mae Ploy herself came out to greet us after dinner! SHE'S WONDERFUL!!! Having been to Thailand many times, I can vouch for Ploy's authentic Thai food. Many traditional dishes as well as modern adaptions, all with elegant presentation. Sushi is also fresh, well prepared and delicious. Tom Kha (Coconut Soup), Chicken Satay, Thai Basil Friend Rice, Salads, Crab Rangoon, Thai Tea...all were absolutely fantastic. I and everyone in my party loved their meals. Wonderful atmosphere, tasteful upscale decor, friendly and prompt service and a great experience all the way around. Highly recommend. My parents loved this place until a poorly handled takeout experience. Right as they pulled in the driveway of their home, the female hostess asked them to return as they were given the wrong order. It is almost 20 minutes from their home. They were not happy. Very little apology and no compensation was offered for the extreme inconvenience. Gas isn't free. It was the establishment's mistake. They should have thrown is a free spring roll or something. Anything. At the very least, a manager should have personally apologized. My parents have not been back and neither have we. read more
