I always grab cakes here! For about 10 years now! Tres leches is moist and sweet and delicious! Frosting is fluffy! The flan, chocoflan, cheesecake, and gelatins is delicious. Everything is cheap so if ur frugal like me ur gonna love it. Ordered my first custom cake there today for my moms 50th and they did an amazing job on it. On time. Feeds 45-60 and priced at $95. Tres leches round with strawberry filling. The only thing I can complain about is the customer service. They aren't very professional, sometimes answer the phone, and make you wait quite a bit without acknowledging you're there. The cakes though are fantastic! And the cool thing is they have a ton of cookies and sell by the slice and daily make emergency cakes on display. They also sell a sweet meal deal during the week with very authentic Mexican tortas! If I could give them negative stars I would! Worst customer service ever!!! First thing they should learn is that the customer always comes first! Not only was the cake over priced but when we were ready to pick it up they said they didn't have it!!! We had ordered my Goddaughter's first birthday cake weeks in advice. The girl who was at the counter was rude and had poor customer service skills. She had the nerve to say that they had a Wedding cake to make and that was their priority. So you mean my Goddaughter's first birthday cake wasn't. And she still asked if we wanted a full refund!! Never ever going there again!!! I don't recommend it either. There customer service has declined badly. My family has order cakes here before and we never thought this was going to happen. I've been to this place several times because my kids and I love their sugar cookies as well as their chocolate chip ones. A couple of days ago, my husband and I decided to stop by to get some cookies for our boys before picking them up from school. We walked in and the woman at the register was helping a customer... Or so I thought. It looked like she was ringing her up at first. The woman never once looked at us. (I know she saw us because their door rings every time someone walks in.) We literally stood there for well over 5 minutes while she gossiped with the other customer. She was SO rude! I kept waiting to see if she'd at least "I'll be with you in a moment." But NOTHING. We were completely ignored. I turned to my husband and said, "let's just go." So he interrupted their gossiping and said, "can you get someone else to help us?" That's when she went into the back and asked another woman to come help her with us. The lady that helped us was rally nice. Come on now! We were only there for 1 dozen cookies. You couldn't stop gossiping for like 2 minutes to ring us up and then carried on? They only get 1 star bc their cookies are good, but they lack good customer service. read more

I love this place..it's so unsuspecting as a deli =) They have daily specials ..and the price is pretty dead on..I mean, it's cheap. The sandwiches are great, and since they have a panini press..I'm always happy with my hot sandwich. They have the most amazing chocolate chip cookies here..and their soups are to die for during the cold months. I've ordered a couple of cakes here for office surprise parties and their always interested in making sure the quality is perfect for our company. I recently was able to try their tres leches cake that Magda's is supposedly known for. I attended a family birthday party this weekend and that was the cake that was ordered. I've tried a tres leches cake once before, but this one was definitely better. The cake was moist and sweet but not too sweet. The cake also had fresh strawberries in the filling so that added a nice touch and it was iced with whipped cream (very light and fluffy). It was a pretty good cake, so good in fact that my bf initally wanted to share but after the first bite decided he wanted a slice all to himself! read more

I called early Saturday morning to reserve an item girl over the phone assured it would be there and I drive across town to pick up my item and apparently they sold it. Very unprofessional and I didn't even get a call saying my item was sold. I asked the girl twice over the phone and she assured me. Very unprofessional and I will not be returning to this business... family of the girl working there got priority and I was waiting for over 10 minutes to even be greeted. If you're sick and tired of all the other sandwich shops and deli's in Stockton you should check out Magda's! My mom was the first person to take me here over a year ago. Their sandwiches are made with the freshest veggies and meats. Their Telera roll is baked there and is always soft and fresh. They offer dijon mustard and they even toast their sandwiches if requested. For a snack pick up some of their famous chocolate chip cookies, or any of their other goodies! USed to work in Stockton at one time and ALL our celebration cakes - staff birthdays, anniversaries etc,. came from here so I am totally addicted to it - the tres leches cake. So when it came to celebrate my son's 1st birthday the only cake I wanted was from here (even though we live in San Ramon) Our friends driving from Stockton were kind enough to get the cake for us The funny part was everyone at the birthday (mostly adults) asked for a vv small piece of the cake and then after one bite EVERYONE came back for seconds. Was a funny sight! The only thing I would tell you to be careful about is the design on the cake - I asked for halloween theme because that was the theme for the birthday but I specified 10 different times that it is for a baby so make it chold friendly. They did an awesome job with metallic colors and all, but, it was definitely not a cute pumpkin 1st birthday cake. More like a teenagers halloween cake. My friends cake was so delicious for her daughter's birthday, so I went here to order my daughters birthday cake. Surprisingly I walked right back out after the young lady in the front was being so rude to my daughters dad. Its weird cause she was being extremely nice to everyone who was speaking Spanish.
