The food is pretty good. Rich and Creamy. Large portion sizes. Easily made two meals out of the Chicken Parmesan. The glasses are very small, maybe 10oz. I know that seems like a little thing to complain about but it means, despite our servers best efforts, we were consistently out of anything to drink with our meal. Our form of entertainment was watching a young lady at a neighboring table try to figure out how to use a pepper grinder. This poor young lady was very perseverant in trying to get some pepper and figure this thing out. I wanted to help her but in general the table did not look too friendly and might not appreciate unsolicited advice being the rest of the table did not seem concerned with her dilemma. Maggiano's is our "go-to" spot for Italian food here in the Clear Lake area. We enjoy the wine bar, the great service, and the variety of main course dishes here. However, they have changed the bread and it is not near as good as the bread they used to serve. I also wish they would add some homemade gnocchi to the menu. I LOVE Maggiano's free pasta deal. With any order of a specialty pasta, classic pasta, or chef featured pasta, you can take a classic pasta to go! What a sweet deal. You can basically get two large pastas for $14. The famous Rigatoni D is to die for. Usually creamy pastas become overwhelming after the fourth bite, but this one wasn't! I could eat the entire plate in one sitting (if I weren't so stuffed). The baked ziti is also a favorite. If you love seafood, I recommend the linguine and clams. If you're watching your calories or not wanting something too heavy, they also have "lighter take" options for some of their entrees. If the item you want doesn't have this option, you can ask the chef to customize it for you. That's crazy. Even if the restaurant doesn't have the kind of pasta you want, you can ask them to make it. If they have the ingredients, they will! This is great if you have a specific dietary restriction. My friend is gluten-free and this is the one restaurant where she has multiple options! I had made a reservation ahead of time via open table because I didn't know if it was gonna be packed tonight. We were seated right away, the hostess were friendly but our server, Jessica got 5+ plus stars! She was awesome! The food was awesome too. Hubby had the chicken parmigiana that came with a side of spaghetti that he enjoyed. I had the Salmon Oscar and it was delicious! Big portion of salmon with lots of lump crab, asparagus, spinach on a garlic cream sauce. Definitely will be back at this location. Really gone downhill -- we took my mom there for her 89th birthday and the service and food were both terrible. No record of our reservation -- we had to show them the emails and texts. To their credit, we did get seated eventually. Waitress rarely bothered to check on us so we didn't get drink refills. Our bread dip was 95% seasoning which we fixed ourselves by adding more olive oil. Got charged for an extra salad :( Our food was brought out before we finished our salads and dumped unceremoniously on our table. We had to scramble to make all of those plates fit -- my knife fell on the floor while the plates were being shoved onto our table and the young men delivering the food laughed -- nobody helped. Food was terrible -- beyond minimal marina on my eggplant Parmesan and zero sauce on my pasta. The eggplant had barely any cheese on it and looked more like eggplant tempura. Very little pasta too -- about 25% of what is usually included again with zero sauce on pasta and barely any on the eggplant. It was nothing like the eggplant Parmesan I've had in the past at maggianos :( Shrimp pasta -- two orders. One was good and the other my spouse said tasted bad..... Two spaghetti dishes were mediocre -- nothing like it used to be. We rarely saw our waitress so we couldn't flag her down. She finally reappeared when we were ready to go and finally got a drink refill. Very disappointing-- this was supposed to be a nice dinner for my 89 year mom's birthday. The food was terrible except one shrimp dish, the staff were rude and inattentive and I got overcharged. My family still were good sports about it and we went home and had cake for mom. read more

Being Friday I was surprised if only having a 15 minute wait time. It must have been because of the rain. We sat down quickly however our server seemed irritated that we were not ready to order. After he got our water he seemed to have disappeared. He didn't fix up the oil and season mix for us we had to wait for someone to stop by. I believe it was a floor manager. After he addressed our oil with seasoning we had no problem finding our server. We had the stuffed mushrooms -they were filling and good but lacking something. I ordered the the chef lobster Carbonara. It has been better but it was still good. For dessert I tried the Gigi butter cake- The lightly hard shell coating was real sweet. My personal experience...... Very clean and elegant restaurant. Every last waiter smiled without over doing the welcome. Its more of a date night setting with medium low lights, intimate, and classic. Any who! Nate my waiter, gave us a good run down of the menu since it was our first time. Which was awesome! We both picked the lighter take fettuccine alfredo with chicken, asparagus and asiago cream sauce. Scale 1-10 Mmm I rate it a 8. I had to add salt and pepper to give it a little more flavor. We just enjoyed Thanksgiving dinner with Maggiano's. We had the family style dinner for 5. The pasta entrees were a delicious extra. My personal favorite was the garlic mashed potatoes. The broccoli left a little to be desired but given the delicious house salad and scrumptious pumpkin praline cheesecake and apple tostada I can't complain. We recently enjoyed Maggiano's with my Wife and Son, and found the Christmas decor, service, attention to detail, and food to all be just divine. We sampled the Bombolina appetizer, which comes complete with fried Calamari, Fried Zucchini, Bruschetta, Fried Mozzarella, and two sauces. It's just a simply wonderful appetizer that is very filling. Among the three of us we tried the Mussels, Caesar Salad, and the Linguine de Mare; all of our plates were fresh, hot, and fantastic. Our server, Kalt, was attentive at just the right times, and was very professional. Maggiano's has improved so much over the past couple of years, and has become one of our favorite restaurants in the Baybrook/Friendswood area. read more

Came here for brunch today. Overall, the experience wasn't bad; however some things I'd definitely not try again. We had the bruschetta bar tour. This wasn't bad. Wasn't a fan of the Italian sausage with lemon aioli, way too lemony but this was entirely personal preference. The others were good. It would have been nice had the waitress told us what each one was though as we had to ask for the menu back to be able to figure out what we were eating. We ordered the lemon ricotta pancakes (fantastic! Didn't even need the syrup that came with it the flavor was so good!) and the smoked salmon Benedict. I wouldn't do that plate again here. The smoked salmon was insanely salty. Almost inedible. The two poached eggs, one was severely uncooked - still had very runny egg whites, and the other was over cooked - cut in and no yolk ran out. The hollandaise was delicious but unfortunately the salty salmon nearly ruined the entire experience. My party split the dishes and I was fortunate to get the overcooked egg. Unfortunately the other half of my party ended up having severe stomach cramps and sick about 2 hours after dining. Also enjoyed their mimosa and a red ruby drink that were both delicious. So, over a 3 star experience. I'd come back again just for the lemon ricotta pancakes and to try their signature foods. But, I will steer clear of the eggs benedict as it's clear that whoever is poaching the eggs, does not know how to poach an egg. read more

At Baybrook, I'd suggest you do not order takeout... for there is never anywhere to park... and security does nothing about it. I've given them the benefit of the doubt, on top of this, five times. The takeout portal has not worked multiple times & we were left sitting in the lot waiting over 30 mins twice, receiving cold food. The last trip, 1/2 of our order was missing when we arrived home....called the restaurant... manager promised refund... NEVER HAPPENED. Needless to say.... We visit pretty frequently here at Maggiano's - started out in the Galleria location and was extremely happy when the local one here at Baybrook opened. This isn't a cheap date, but definitely worth the $$ for the quality of food and professional, friendly service. (Nice classy ambiance with soft music playing as well). Great family atmosphere. The Marcos meal for two is a pretty good deal - $44 for a meal for two: an appetizer, two pastas, and a dessert + two pastas to take home (for a second meal later in the week). Our favorites are the fried zucchini, chicken parm, lasagna, and raviolis (both the mushroom and the 4 cheese). But... the very best? The pound cake! Dropped from their menu a couple of years ago, but for the month of January, it has returned! All hail the pound cake! Long may she reign in all her glory!!! Our server (Aaron) was also great! My best friend and I love meeting up/catching up over Maggiano's pasta (especially cause you get to take a classic pasta home)! Such a good deal and super delicious. I also love the fresh bread for the table and honestly could fill up on the fresh bread and olive oil mix alone. The appetizers at Maggiano's are also really good! When my family and I went, we got the calamari and spinach and artichoke al forno, which were both super yummy. Portions are a good size, and you're guaranteed to leave fulfilled. Best part is you're getting quality food and can walk it off after by walking around Baybrook Mall and window shopping. Been coming here for going on 5 years. Almost always everything is great, but the few times things aren't, management always makes it right. Our favorite server is Benny, he's the best. We always get the Marco's meal, it's around $50 but you get either 2 salads or an appetizer; two entrees, two entrees to take home and 1 dessert to share. Can't pass up a deal like that! I have only been to Maggiano's twice. Once on Mother's Day, and once with my whole family (10 people) for a birthday brunch/lunch. Both times we have had a reservation, and a great experience. I have only ordered off of the brunch menu, but I have tasted other dishes that my family members have ordered. The food is absolutely delicious! My husband likes to get the buy one, take one meal because it's two meals for a great price and he gets to eat different things. I HIGHLY recommend the crab cake Benedict (brunch) and the eggplant Parmesan. The second time we went, we were celebrating both of my grandparents birthdays. They brought them both a plate of delicious lemon cookies after the meal. When we went for Mother's Day, there was an issue with our reservation. The lady that took the reservation had put it in for the wrong day. The manager quickly found us a table, and apologized for the mix up. We didn't have to wait longer than 5 minutes either time we've gone. The parking sucks, but that's because the mall is always busy. They do have valet, but we've never used it. All in all, I will gladly return to Maggiano's. read more

I ordered the lighter side Chicken Parmesan and it was absolutely amazing, perfect portion size, and came out to perfection. My GF ordered the 4 cheese Ravioli which was more than she could eat. I've been wanting to check this place out since they opened. I had heard so many good things about it. I guess maybe I had high expectations so we were a bit disappointed. We went there yesterday to celebrate my mom and sister's birthdays. We had to wait awhile for the larger table to finish up. They were having dessert when we arrived. They took their time cleaning off the table. It seemed like it took over 30 minutes for us to get seated, if not more. My boyfriend and I had time to go to the bar and order two drinks, drink them and then stand around for a good 20+ minutes. Their menu was pretty small in my opinion. I decided to try the Lasagna and for my take-home meal, I ordered the Baked Ziti (which I haven't tried yet). The lasagna was OK but nothing incredible. I wish I had ordered another dish, something with a cream sauce. But it was my first time there so I wasn't sure what dish to try. My boyfriend ordered the Chicken Parmesan and he wasn't a big fan either. The chicken itself didn't taste that fresh and the pasta was nothing special at all. He said he could make better pasta at home. Sorry! We did love the fresh, warm bread and the olive oil dipping sauce. I was already full from the bread before my food was served. Everyone went crazy over the bread. We had to keep asking for more. Our server was very lovely. Her name was Brittany. She was very polite and friendly. No complaints there.
