Setting aside that it's located in a mall (which is probably the hottest hot spot in Boca Raton!), Maggie McFly's was actually pretty decent! I'll get the negative out of the way first. The service, while friendly, was extremely slow. The restaurant wasn't full but we still waited a good 15-20 minutes to get seated, and then the food took a long time to arrive once we ordered. They were also out of a lot of the beers on tap. Once seated, we perused the menu, which as others have noted, is very Cheesecake Factory-esque! HUGE! Thankfully, we had a craft beer (I can't remember which kind) to enjoy while perusing. We quickly zeroed in on the lobster roll, the tuna poke nachos, and the giant pretzel The lobster roll was good; it was STUFFED with lobster and no may or filler, just the lobster! The fries were crispy and absolutely perfect, and the slaw was also fantastically fresh. The nachos were also great; lots of fresh tuna and avo. This was always something we ordered at Yard House and since the location near us closed, that is one food item I have really been missing. The pretzel had a nice, crispy exterior with a doughy interior; carb heaven! It came with a beer cheese sauce and something smoky and delicious. They feature a number of items made with ingredients from local vendors, which is a really nice touch. All in all, this was a solid meal! read more

Came here on a Saturday afternoon and had no issue being sat in the outdoor patio section, but there was a very large party wrapping up their meal and we were not greeted or brought water for a pretty good amount of time. Eventually, our server came and apologized for the wait. We were starving so we skipped straight to our Andre's, I decided to try the lobster roll, but was a little underwhelmed as I felt they should have done all claw meat, especially for the price and could have made it more savory, tender, and better seasoned. My mom got the Seabass special which she said was very good although I didn't get to try it. Overall, I think maybe I picked the wrong dish for my preferences, but I would definitely come back and try it again---their menu is extensive and so hard to choose from! read more

Paul and I came to Maggie McFly's for the first time last night at 6 PM. Since it's at the BOCA Town Center, I wasn't exactly sure where it was. I stopped to make a phone call and the gentleman who answered stayed with me on the phone till I got there. That was great service and I was very relieved. The navigation in the car takes you into the mall, but not directly in front of the restaurant. We were in awe as we walked in. It was a breath of fresh air and just beautiful. There was a huge bar right in the front with several TVs surrounding it with sports programs on. The booths and chairs at the tables were high-quality leather. It was so classy. The pictures on the wall were colorful and fascinating, depicting different subject matter such as airplanes. Someone must really love airplanes. We were placed at a booth with a huge step up that could probably fit six people. We were facing the TV s and the Bar. Soon after we were greeted by Miguel who was our waiter. He gave us menus and allowed us to choose from the happy hour menu because the on -line info said it ended at 7 pm. It was not accurately changed till 6 pm. Meanwhile, the menu was vast with lots and lots of options, including some very good healthy ones. Paul had a pasta dish with shrimp and I had a Farmers table grain bowl filled with grilled chicken and various vegetables, rice and quinoa, etc. It was outstanding and enough to bring home for another meal. I also loved one of their signature coconut drinks - YAVE COCONUT TEQUILA, CREAM OF COCONUT, HOUSE LIME SOUR, PINEAPPLE JUICE, COCONUT RIM Unfortunately, one of their refrigerators was not working and we couldn't get the dessert that we wanted. My husband and I had lunch here this afternoon. I had a tuna poke bowl, which was excellent. However, there was a huge problem with the sound system. It was impossible to tell what song was being blared because of the exceptionally loud static coming through as well. I brought this to the attention of the manager who outright refused to do anything about it. He told me this was their playlist, which made no sense at all since you couldn't actually hear any music above the horrendous background noise and static. Needless to say, we won't be going back. We went for a quick lunch. We had the chili and the Chinese chicken salad. We loved the food. The chili came with an ample amount of tortilla chips so you could use the chili as a dip. Been to Maggie mcflys a couple of times. The concept is really cool and unique. They serves scratch-made food from local sources. They also provide local brews depending on the area. Maggie mcflys is kinda perfect if you have a group who can't decide on where to eat or has a range of different tastes because they have something for EVERYONE. Best espresso martini here BUT for the love of god and all things good in the world. Please get rid of whatever off brand elderflower liquor you have and get st Germaine. Staff is so nice and ready to great you at the door. Everything i ate was so moreish, my only downfall is are the drinks I really wish they were better but honestly food makes up for it. The lobster bisque had the largest pieces of lobster and flavor was there my mom got a bowl and I got jealous so I needed it to. The tuna tartar had to be one of the best I have had. It's a really cute place and has such a diverse menu that we were afraid the food would not live up to the standards. The food was very decent but nothing spectacular. I would definitely recommend this place for a business meeting or when you have many diverse diets because of the vastness of the menu. I would not recommend anything special on the menu, but it was a nice place with a cute ambiance with indoor and outdoor seating. Our server was very attentive and nice, and the bartender made drinks quickly. I do not plan on going back anytime soon, especially with all of the terrific restaurants close by, but it is not bad so I don't want to give it lower stars for no reason. This place really impressed me! We came for a team dinner and I was going into it believing it would be just another mall restaurant, I was wrong! I got a faux-jito, with one of my favorite zero proof alcohols, Ritual. It was really good! A friend and I both got the tuna pole bowl, it was really good, well balanced and a large portion. The one thing that threw me off was the mushrooms, I'm not sure if I really understood or enjoyed that part and I like mushrooms! They just felt kinda random for the dish. We were staying at the Sonesta Hotel on Glades road and decided to try this place for dinner. It was a good decision. They have plenty of indoor and patio seating. The menu is very extensive with a seasonal favorites page, as well as several other pages with plenty of appetizers, salads, sandwiches, pizzas, pastas, and entrees. I opted for the Thai chicken salad. It had chicken skewers, cucumbers, tomatoes, coconut, edamame, and peanut dressing. It was delicious. My husband had the garlic shrimp pasta. I was so excited to finally try Maggie McFly's. My boyfriend took me here to celebrate me getting a new job, so I even dressed up for the occasion. A friend had recommended this restaurant, and I was genuinely looking forward to a fun night out. Unfortunately, the experience was disappointing from start to finish. We had an 8:00 p.m. reservation, but every single item we ordered came out either cold or just barely warm, as if it had been sitting out for quite some time. The mozzarella sticks weren't even fully melted, my clam chowder was so thick it barely resembled soup and had very few clams, and my boyfriend's fries were cold and tasted stale. I also had to send back my margarita because it tasted like it was made with old or sour lime juice. I ended up ordering a Moscow Mule instead, even though I had really been looking forward to enjoying a margarita while celebrating such an exciting milestone. What made the experience even more disappointing was the service. Our server was very monotone, showed little personality, and didn't seem to have much concern or remorse when we mentioned the issues with our food and drinks. I wasn't expecting anything over the top, but a little empathy or effort to make things right would have gone a long way. The prices were also shocking for the quality we received. I was planning on ordering the tacos until I saw they were $30. For food that consistently came out cold and drinks that had to be sent back, the prices simply weren't justified. This dinner was supposed to be a special celebration, and instead I left feeling incredibly disappointed. I honestly felt like crying on the way home because I had been looking forward to this night for so long, and it fell completely flat. I rarely leave negative reviews, but based on my experience, I can't recommend Maggie McFly's. There are far better restaurants where you'll receive warmer food, better service, and much better value for your money. read more

Everything was perfect & of course we ended up taking home some of the food. For a Boca restaurant the price was decent, around $150 for what we got. We had a really nice, attentive server but the food was very underwhelming. The warm pretzel came out very hot and tasty, which had me hopeful. I liked the creamy mustard, which was surprisingly thick. I thought it might've been the beer cheese sauce at first. The cheese sauce, on the other hand, was almost as thin as water. The flavor was fine, very light, but it wasn't worth it with the mustard as the much better option. I saw intriguing tacos on the menu (lobster, short rib) but wanted to avoid those since I regularly have tacos at a great place with the best prices around (see my other reviews). It was risky at almost $30 for the premium trio. But when I asked what the server recommended as it was our first time here, she said the tacos (except, she said, people don't seem to finish the short rib so she advised against it). I got the lobster, coconut shrimp, and barbacoa tacos. All three were very disappointing. And the rice was perhaps one of the worst things I've ever eaten - blazing hot but somehow had a horrible, almost cigarette smoke, taste. Massive pieces of heavily breaded coconut shrimp was lukewarm at best. And we had waited quite a while for the food to come out. A manager checked on us and offered to get me hot coconut shrimp. I declined, not sure they were be much better. But nice to offer. My mom had the pot roast. Flavor was fine and presented okay. Except that the thick slices of pot roast was confusing - should it really hold together that well? - and they forgot the onion ring topping. Her first bite, I could tell it was disappointing. I hadn't even told her I was unhappy with my food at this point. She said it was really tough so I tried. Yup! Don't do pot roast if you don't know how to cook it. We definitely saw a lot of food go by us that looked like it would be good. We could've just chosen poorly. But I have a feeling the food just looks better than it is. The menu is huge and diverse, which should've been a warning sign. Quality was just not there. Might try again to see if more sports bar or lunch type foods would be better. But probably won't be back. And another very random thing - the chairs are a bit awkward. The arm rests hit right under your arms for an average height person (I'm 5'10"), but there's no where for your arms to go. I was leaning forward on the table when my mom mentioned it - "where do your arms go with these chairs?!" We cracked up. I realized I was hunching over and not sitting back into the seat. I ordered the Lobster Roll and what I got was a brioche bun with overcooked Crab. It was not lobster - it was crab legs and it was stringy. I ate here last night with a bunch of my friends and we had amazing food. I had the crabcakes they were to die for the aïoli sauce was excellent and my friends had some other great dishes. Everyone enjoyed all their food. I would definitely go here again. And Jake, who is our server was excellent. His customer service was good. He laughed with us and he brought everything out that we ordered and went over and above thank you Jake for excellent service. The ambience was very nice as well very laid-back. The good- Booth was comfortable and actually clean- I hate when a restaurant has dirty tables/chairs/booths. Server came right away and he was pleasant/attentive My kids enjoyed their food- cheese pizza and lobster grilled cheese. Although they said the pizza was "good, not great bc it's not a pizza place" and the grilled cheese bread was a little soggy. Extensive menu The BAD- Menu pages were greasy. You can see the kitchen as you walk to the bathroom and it looks like a mess- yuck. I ordered the beef short rib with risotto. As soon as it was placed infront of me I pointed to the long black hair in my dish and told the server there was a hair in my dish. He proceeded to ask me if I'd like the food to be remade- Well, I don't want to eat it with someone else's hair in the food... A supposedly new dish came back about 5 minutes later. This was the worst short rib I've ever had. It was a few thinly sliced pieces of meat that were fatty/tough and obviously microwaved. I ate some of the risotto and that was it. If you want beef short rib I highly recommend Farmer's Table. A few dollars more and a trillion times better. read more

Holy crap! Come here! It is in the mall and busy as heck. The staff is ALWAYS moving and checking on us. Our food is incredible and great portions. I am having the fried Mac-n-cheese burger with sirachi aioli, nice zing to it. The better half is having the shrimp po'boy, it is huge! Faith, our server, made great suggestions.
