I met my friend from Boynton Beach here for brunch because we figured it was a midpoint. We came here a few years ago, but had bad service and food improperly prepared so the manager gave me his card, comped the meal, and asked us to come back. 4 years later and we were in the area so we decided to give it another try ... We were seated by the same gentleman who served us. He seemed happy to greet us as we came through the door and was a good server as well. My Apple Cinnamon Waffles were perfectly prepared, crispy outside and side inside with the perfect amount of apple cinnamon compote. Absolutely yummy! My friend's sandwich came without tomato. The cost to add it after was too much so he went without it. Then he noticed a long hair in his cheesy grits! We both shave our heads so we knew it wasn't ours. We notified the server and he apologized while having it replaced. My friend did say it tasted great after finally eating it. We love Keke's in general for a long time. The menu, the service, the vibe, did i say the menu? This location did not disappoint. I have never had a stale, bitter, or otherwise cup of coffee, the coffee has ALWAYS been on point. Pancakes and bacon and French toast variations are always presented to make your mouth water, so many options. Today we got a seat right away, usually we are used to the wait. I usually get the combo, pancakes or French Toast, a breakfast meat and grits or home fries that are sliced small potatoes, more roasted that fried. Sigother got the French toast sausage and grits. Delish start to the day. I finished up with a doctor's appointment bright and early. Keke's was close by -- I never been yet to the Boca location, only Boynton long back in the day. You come in, place your name on a virtual waiting list, & wait to be called. At 1240 pm on Sunday afternoon, it took my family 30 minutes to be seated. We talked and waited & did not feel upset by the wait. If you don't have time to wait, choose a restaurant that accepts reservations. It's perfectly crispy on the outside & soft and fluffy on the inside. I haven't had French toast this good in a very long time. The ham steak is cooked / seared very well & is not rubbery. Stopped at KeKe's Breakfast Cafe for brunch today. And as usual, the place blew me away. I ordered the combo which included a waffle with apples and cinnamon and sugar, along with eggs and bacon. You really can't go wrong with breakfast from Keke's. This location has been here for several years now - I remember when the only time I could get my hands on breakfast from Keke's was on a trip to Orlando. Thankfully, that has changed! If you're going on the weekends, expect to wait - unless you happen to be God's favorite and manage to snag a table right a way. In that case, also pickup a lotto ticket. But nonetheless, they are well worth the wait! In my experience, service is always friendly and prompt which is appreciated when you're in tow with a hungry fiancée and 6yo child. Breakfast for the three of us was around $50 which considering the amount of food we were served was fair imo. When family/friends come to visit, I ALWAYS brought them there. Then.... I went with a friend and we enjoyed our meal. Had not seen her in ages, so we sat/yapped a while. What a great breakfast place! We went on a weekday and there was maybe a 5 minute wait. I ordered the Keke's Special. I chose 2 French toast (upgraded to apple-cinnamon flavor for an additional fee). You then get 2 sides and I chose scrambled eggs (with feta cheese) and a small sunshine bowl (fruit was also an additional fee). There was a ton of food and it was all very good! Usually fruit bowls can be a miss with just basic fruit, but this sunshine bowl was fresh with decent fruit. Theresa was our server and she was friendly and great at refilling waters. Well, well, well, what a hidden treasure we stumbled upon. We were looking for a new breakfast spot and stumbled upon Keke's Breakfast Cafe in Boca Raton. The hot chocolate was among with REAL whipped cream. No Redi-Whip here. Our order was pretty standard. The hubby has the combo with eggs over hard, country fried steak, cheesy grits and a buttermilk pancake. I had the silver dollar buttermilk pancakes with home fries covered in cheese and bacon and some turkey bacon (well done) on the side. EVERYTHING was fresh. It was well seasoned, tasty, and delicious. The pancakes are the best pancakes I've ever eaten. They were fluffy, light, buttery and just amazing. Everything we ate was deeee-licious and we will definitely be back. The prices were very reasonable and the portions were perfect. The sides were actually fit for two-three people. It is importantly that I mention that they have stuffed French toast. You heard me STUFFED French toast. The table next to us had an order stuffed with fruit and cream cheese (maybe, could have been some kind of cream). It looked amazing and that is what I will be ordering next time. For folks look g to eat a little healthier, no worries, they have some options for you too. We really enjoyed this local hot spot and can't wait to get back there. I'm not a big breakfast person but Keke's is amazing. I ordered the mini stack of pancakes through uber eats and i immediately loved it. I began ordering it for brunch often and always tried something new. Sometimes i would eat the pancakes a few hours later and they would still taste really good, It's one of those places where the pancake tastes so good that you don't need to add the syrup or any toppings for that matter. I've had the breakfast combo where i had sunny side up eggs with sausage and bread and i even had the yogurt parfait which comes with berries and granola. Every time I go to Kekes I regret it. Their pancakes are honestly very good and fluffy. Their bacon is disgusting though. It tastes like rubber, there's no meaty taste in it. I have been coming to KeKe's for the last 6 years or so regularly. I love it here. It is almost a comforting ambiance. Servers and hosts/hostesses are REAL ... Not at all phony or superficial. That genuine nature of the staff has become a rarity anymore. Every experience is pleasant! I look forward to each visit. As you are leaving they always wish you a lovely day on one's way out the door. In my opinion, the overall experience is worth every penny paid for the food. I love the eggs (cooked to order). Once upon a time, it seemed that greasy spoon diners or luncheonettes were pretty much the only option if you wanted to go grab breakfast. Now with places like Keke's Breakfast Cafe and First Watch, you have better options if you are seeking to eat out for the first meal of the day (and what I was told since grade school was the most important meal of the day). Keke's Breakfast Cafe is a hometown creation, having started here in Orlando, Florida back in 2006 by brothers Keith and Kevin Mahen. Back then, it had the more straightforward name of the Florida Waffle Shop. This location was on Conroy Road and when the brothers started eying the horizon of expansion, they went with the name Keke's (which was a combination of both of their names) both because the name was perceived as more catchy and also because they could not obtain a trademark for the business name Florida Waffle Shop. From that humble beginning of one location, Keke's has grown to over forty locations here in Florida. The reason they have not expanded beyond the Sunshine State yet is that they have not saturated the market yet. The menu at Keke's Breakfast Cafe is filled with the usual breakfast favorites like waffles, omelets, eggs benedict and more. They also have a lunch menu, but I have only tried their breakfast offerings. All in all, my breakfast here was an overall winner. The food was very good, the ambiance was a great alternative to the standard greasy spoon breakfast joint with cheap chairs and chipped tables and my server was friendly, attentive and professional.
