I've always loved Geezers, and the Southwest Chicken Stew is hands down my favorite thing on the menu. I've ordered it many times, which is why this visit was so disappointing. This time, the pasta in the stew was severely overcooked. It had broken down to the point that it was gelatinous and mushy, completely changing the texture of the soup. Instead of having tender pasta, it felt thick and gummy, which made it hard to enjoy a dish I normally look forward to. I'm leaving this review because I know how good this stew usually is, and I hope this was just an off day. I still enjoy coming here and will likely be back, but I wanted to share my experience in the hope that more attention is given to the quality and consistency of this otherwise excellent dish. read more

Had a Monday off from work and met up with a friend for Happy Hour. It was my first visit to Geezers and from the outside it looked like a normal, spacious establishment. Once you stepped inside, you are greeted by a vast courtyard of white stone, granite and a wood bar top. The ambiance was classy, yet casual with many patrons escaping the busy work day for a cold brew and bite of food. Our waiter beyond friendly and helpful. I saw o social media that they promote some of the coldest beer in town at 29 degrees and being the peak of summer, the beer was COLD and refreshing. We ordered mozzarella sticks that were fresh and hot but forgettable. Not much flavor but the freshness carried this well with a cold beer. My friend and I split a Buffalo Chicken Pizza on their infamous garlic sourdough. The pizza was delicious. Overall a solid experience at Geezers. Service: Super slow and unorganized. There were 2 servers for the party. Drink orders and refills took forever to come. Empty dishes were not cleared up. Service was just not up to par for the party we had. Food: For the amount that was charged, it was not enough. The pastas were not refilled when it was low and empty. The pizzas were not refilled. Clean plates were not refilled. Desserts were cookies and brownies. Brownies were terribly not tasty. Pastas and pizzas were good, just not enough. I would not recommend this place for events. This place gives major cafeteria vibes for both the layout of the restaurant and the quality of food. Was there for a party so we were utilizing a banquet room so my experience could be different. But the pastas were all over cooked so they would disintegrate when you would poke them with a fork. The pizzas were like personal size that seemed like they were made from frozen. The salad was chopped too fine so it was hard to pick it up. On a positive note the beers are massive and the bar area is spacious so the bar aspect of the place is good. We were literally four "geezers" senior citizens rolling in for dinner. We waited a bit for a table but it was ok. Our server was prompt with taking our order and food came out in good time. We had Pesto Chicken Pizza which was tasty. Would have like a little more chicken but that's just me. The rest of the guys Spaghetti and Meatballs, Blackened Salmon and Hanging Tender. We were a large party but Luz got to us quick for drinks & appetizers and when we ordered food it came out very fast and hot! Everyone i was with had no issues. HOWEVER i ordered the chicken piccata. Granted i am very picky with veggies so i ordered no capers no pepp no mushrooms no green onion, not that chicken piccata comes with these things anyway except capers. 3.5 stars for the rest...But chicken piccata has something that makes it my favorite dish of all time...LEMON BUTTER AND WINE! So even if there are no veggies there is still flavor. This one had none of those. It was like a weak alfredo. An american carbonara minus the bacon. I thought i received the wrong dish til i saw the receipt. So extremely disappointing :( However the bruschetta and zip code nachos were incredible I would come back but probably only if someone invited me. The food has always been good but the people working there is what made you want to come back. They made you feel welcomed! I'm done. Geezers used to be I will go to restaurant for traditional delicious food, but something has happened. We started off with the hot wings appetizer. Don't know how you could screw it up that bad. They were beyond salty, I can't imagine how you could get that much salt into a chicken wing. Uneditable! But the celery and carrots were awesome! Main meal. I had the meatloaf sandwich. Now we can all agree that the meat that meatloaf has been invented hundreds of years ago, it only has a few ingredients, how could they screw it up? That bad is beyond belief? Flavor was really off. My wife tacos were awesome... Maybe that's the answer.... Service. There was about a 25 minute wait with about half the restaurant with what appeared empty. This should have been a flag that they were short staffed. We were left basically unattended for long periods of time, I felt like standing up and waving my hands to try to get a waiter to come visit us. I watched our waiter run all over the restaurant. I felt bad for him, but understood that it probably wasn't his fault but Management for under staffing the restaurant. Ambience the restaurant is beautiful and Parking is fantastic! It was my first time coming to Geezers for happy hour and let me tell you... I will only be coming for happy hour. lol It was my birthday and I wanted to do a happy hour for it. This might be my favorite happy hour in Southern California. We came early because it's been known to get a little crowded. I ordered hot wings, and fried zucchini. I was transported to another level when I started eating. I was told I didn't put any of the food down for the first 10 minutes. People were involved in conversation, and I was in another world. Review done based on management. We gave our name and we were told the wait was 1.5 hours. The man said we could walk around to find our friends. We walked around and saw more than 10 empty tables in the dinning area. I asked about the empty tables and he said, " Yes, there are empty tables, but there are many people before you" 10 minutes later he still hadn't called anyone to be seated. A young woman approached to help and was told to leave. I've been here before and I know there are A LOT MORE tables. But is up to management to open other unused areas to accommodate more clients. Walked in with my family of 7 at 9:10pm Tuesday night and were refused service because the kitchen "was closed" although their posted hours of business say they close at 10pm. I've worked in hospitality before and I know what "the kitchen is closed" means. For those that don't know... that just means... the servers are too lazy to work because close time is soon approaching and they'd rather say the above to avoid staying past their close time. Very unprofessional. If the kitchen closes at 9 then the restaurant posted hours should say so too... but funny thing, I looked around and the patrons at the bar and the dining area were still enjoying a full pizza with salad. I've been often recommend this restaurant and when I finally attempt to go out of my way to try it... I get welcomed with petty customer service. read more

We were greeted with friendly staff who showed us to our table quickly. We got to peruse the menu and place our drink and food orders in. We mainly ordered from their happy hour menu which is 50% off appetizers and $2 off pizzas. All in all, the food was good and it satisfied our savory need. The place is huge! I think there's separate party rooms you can reserve. Clean restaurant and restrooms. Spacious, and friendly staff made for a great dining experience here. Lots of parking too! Came here for a work dinner. There were 14 of us and the seating was spacious and the restaurant was large (really good for groups!) I got the nachos with a friend and OMG it was huge!! The zip code nachos were big enough to feed 4-6 people! I couldn't believe it was an appetizer. The service was good for our huge group. For serving 14 people, she did a really great job. I would rate this a 3.5/5 just because the food seemed like a step up from fast food. It wasn't fancy or gourmet. The ambiance seemed like a sports bar more than a restaurant.
