But the tacos absolutely stole the show. Sweet and spicy with a touch of crunch, and the potato fries were stellar too! The old fashioned really let the whiskey shine, with just a touch of citrus. I think I would try a different dessert though- the decadence was good but didn't quite live up to the tacos. The interior was decorated very cute- mid century modern mixed with plants and some neon signs that said cute things. Our server was excellent- very friendly and on top of it. I am always for the dark beers so after trying a sample of the brown and the stout, I chose Wired Greasy Grinder milk stout. The seltzer was interesting as it was not back-sweetened like so many are. It was more like a flavored sparkling water, but with alcohol. She really liked it. The milk stout had a wonderful malty, roasty flavor that I love. When my friend arrived, she chose the same as me and we all sat and enjoyed some conversation. This is a nice location tucked away just off I-25. I look forward to visiting again.

After 17 minutes the waitress finally comes back for my order (it became oddly long enough that I started tracking all of this). I ordered steak frites and a glass of wine (it's kind of my default). About 15 minutes later it comes out and I am served. The frites and wine are just 'ok'. Not bad or anything... just not noteworthy. I finish my meal and wait. And, wait. And......wait..... After a while the waitress comes out and I order some cheesecake. She goes away with the order and I realize that there is this bartender, obviously drunk, trying to entertain an older couple (that was also kind of drunk), and he attempted to wax poetic about the value of different liqueurs and their social nobility. It went On. And. On. After a conspicuous while I interrupted and asked where the wait staff was. He just pointed at the kitchen entrance and then ignored me, and proceeded to stumble his speech some more. I look over and all the wait staff is just standing there ignoring all of the clientele. I catch the eye of my waitress and wave my hand for attention. She sees me, and then turns around and continues talking to the other staff. Thinking this is some sort of joke I decide to see what this takes to just get some dessert. After a while the older couple shuffle on, and the bartender finally does some actual bartending/cleaning. I ask again where the staff is and he literally *rolls his eyes* and walks away. A minute later the waitress comes out with the cheesecake. I check my watch. It's been **42** minutes. The cheese cake was 'ok' grade pre-made fare, but that's about it. It was a 42 minute wait for manufactured cheesecake while having to listen to some self-important drunk d-bag trying to educate other drunks. I mentioned all of this to the person that referred me there, and they just responded with "Oh yeah, that's the owner."
