I've been to Maggi's once for breakfast! Everything was delicious, so I definitely can't say anything negative about the food. My grandma eats here frequently and loves it so much, everything she has tried has been delicious, especially French toast. I will say it's quite pricey, and our wait was pretty lengthy, perhaps they were understaffed when my family arrived. Awesome kitschy little dinner spot. Our hashbrowns actually came out extra crispy when we asked for it, and the over medium eggs were perfect (no shloopy whites!). The pancakes were absolutely incredible. Light and fluffy but with crispy edges and a lot of flavor. I do wish they had real maple syrup for an up charge but not a big deal. Service was also quick and friendly, and the restaurant was super clean. Loved it, and my husband, toddler, and I ate and drank and went home with leftovers for $33. Quick edit- just saw the one star review and this person has to be a competitor or something. While the food at this restaurant is undeniably amazing, the experience has consistently been disappointing due to poor service and long wait times. Over the last five visits, each trip has turned into a 2-3 hour ordeal, whether it's getting seated or waiting for our food. Most recently, we arrived at 10:20am and by 11:50, we still hadn't received our meals. Meanwhile, we watched multiple tables that were seated after us get their food, eat, pay, and leave. At what point does the staff step up and figure out what's going wrong? This restaurant desperately needs to implement systems--whether it's for managing the waitlist, ensuring the waitstaff knows who was seated first, or keeping the kitchen running efficiently. Being busy is great, but it doesn't equate to success if the guest experience is poor due to disorganization. The chaos we've encountered has ruined what could have been a great dining experience. Thank goodness for the Waffle House next door because we were starving! read more

I heard of Maggi's on NextDoor and decided to give them a try because they are local. I honestly never considered them because they were attached to a rundown motel so I assumed they were the same. Nope! It was very stylish inside and a great ambiance. You could tell it was a "locals place" immediately upon entering. Let me sum it up - 1. Great ambiance 2. Small town feel 3. Huge portions 4. Very fair prices! The taste of the food... was impeccable. Everything I ate (breakfast with all the options) was seasoned so well - nothing bland here! The only reason it didn't receive five stars is because my food came out almost room temp. I like my food piping hot and it was very clear our food had been ready at least 20 minutes before. Which jives because we had been sitting there for an unusual amount of time. It did appear though they had minimal staff - so I'm willing to forgive them this once and try again. We have been going to Maggie's for years. The food is very good and they have a senior menu. However, the last time we were there I noticed there weren't as many patrons. I also noticed that my iced tea was terrible (cloudy and tasted instant) and the floor in the back room was so sticky I had to wash my shoes when I got home. read more

Our family was supposed to take a train from Denver to Glenwood Springs, but due to a storm that rolled in and slow road conditions there was no way we were going to make the train. SO... we drove. I am a truck driver, and after reading all the good reviews about this place I decide to park at the truck stop next door to this place for my friday night. I go in to get dinner and drinks at just before 8pm and they tell me they are closing. Yes a BAR closing at 8 pm. So my friday night is ruined, I go back to my truck for cup a noodles for dinner. I'll start with pro's, then I'll get to the problems. Starting with the food. It was great, large amounts of food for the price, and the taste was pretty good. Now the cons. None of the waitresses were wearing masks. That was a huge concern, so I thought what if the chefs weren't wearing them either. I tried not to think about it too much as I went to the bathroom. The bathroom was filthy, feces all over the floor, and no soap. Absolutely disgusting, I then quickly passed by a table with a family coughing so much I thought I would get infected with covid. read more

Over the years and at both locations, we've eaten at Maggi's. It's OK, not great. The "famous" breakfast burrito has way too much potato in it and not enough meat and egg. I also tried a 'meat eaters" breakfast and nearly all of the meat was under cooked. My biggest concern recently is that no one is wearing a mask. Not the wait staff, the cooks, management nor the customers on their way in or out. I've been told that there is a card game every other week in a back room. No one there wears masks or is socially distant aware. Come on folks. We're in the middle of a serious pandemic and need to be considerate of all of the people we come in contact with. read more
