[[HIGHLIGHT]]The customer service was wonderful.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] But they didn't do what I asked I wanted hot pink lowlights and I got a reddish pink balayage. [[HIGHLIGHT]]I was just super disappointed that his didn't convey that what I want wasn't going to be achievable.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] Not only does it look like a balayage, but it isn't anywhere near the color i actually wanted or style.

I was searching for a nearby salon to take my mom, who was in desperate need of a haircut, color, and highlights, and I found Magic Hair Studio in Baldwin Park. [[HIGHLIGHT]]I called Maggie and scheduled an appointment for the same day, and as soon as we got there, she welcomed us, as well as the other hairstyles.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] Maggie was incredibly patient and detailed. She did an incredible job, making my mom feel even more beautiful. I highly recommend Maggie; she's a sweetheart and talented hair stylist We are definitely coming back!!!

I went in about 2 months ago for a new hair style and honestly I've been crying about it ever since. I know that it's partly my fault because I wasn't happy with it from the beginning and I didn't speak up and for that reason I didn't want to leave a bad review but I feel like it should be put out there. My hair is very chopped up and about 4 different lengths and it's all around just terrible. I went once before and nancy did my hair and I was very happy with it so I was comfortable going again. However an older lady did my hair this time and I've honestly never been so unhappy with my hair. I don't want to put down the whole salon but I would definitely recommend too just stick with Nancy.

The only reason I give a star is because the owner is sweet as pie and Maggie my to go colorist is amazing with the job she does every time... But the son of the owner works here from time to time. [[HIGHLIGHT]]While I was getting my hair done this kid came in and pushed my stylist tray to the side without warning having 3 chairs empty!I think is inconsiderate, rude in every wayAfter I expressed my discomfort her son verbally abused me with his comments which I responded in a way he deserved it.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] [[HIGHLIGHT]]The owner, maggie and the rest of the crew are amazing.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] [[HIGHLIGHT]]The son needs to educate himself and learn "basic polite manners" learned in kindergarten.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] [[HIGHLIGHT]]He actually asked me for my name menacing me to never go back there, he's a verbally abusive child and posses an entitled attitude yelling next to the kid he was cutting hair.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] What a scene he caused. Above all, there are cameras in there in case the owner doesn't believe it.

Got a simple cut and wash, came in during the day, there was quite a few people working, so I didn't have to wait too long. The service is pretty basic. It's like the movie barbershop, girls are yapping about their lives and lunch. I was told about this place and this was our first time trying it. I think we will come back.

I love what you did to my hair and for sure Ill be coming back. The vibe is really nice inside. All hairstylists are very attentive and nice to their customers. Their price is also very reasonable. Let's me start off by saying I LOVE my hair! The ladies working here ( Nancy & Aide ) are always so nice and vibrant. Their customer service is always top notch! I called right at 10am and without hesitation Nancy was very helpful and got my mom and I an appointment. Got to the salon and we didn't wait more then 10 mins. They did have other clients but Nancy & Aide were very attentive to everyone. Aide did my moms hair and she loved it. I was recommended to Magic Hair Studio and I am glad i went. The service was amazing everyone is kind the environment is welcoming. I went with Aide and she did my hair exactly how I wanted it. I have also gone to Magic Hair studio for hairdos and im short of words to saying "Thankyou Aide" . I get so many compliments on my hair color and hairstyles that this is my go place. I left feeling great with my new hair just to found out later on by people telling me that it was uneven I never noticed cause she had styled it. [[HIGHLIGHT]]I called to see if she would be able to redo it and they told me she doesn't work there anymore i don't know If that's true or not but it's very frustrating because now I feel so ugly with this hair[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] and [[HIGHLIGHT]]I had an appointment today to redo it but I missed it due to something important and the owner told me she would be only able to do it till 4 days later I'm not staying 4 more days with this uneven hair unfortunately I'm not a satisfied customer wouldn't recommend[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] , girl please you're mad jajaja I'm just leaving a review to let anyone know that this isn't the place to go. take it as you please I didn't say anything after a month cause I wanted to give the lady the benefit of the doubt until I saw it for myself. I'm upset that my hair is uneven when it would've been straight from the start. I waiting an hour in ur chair for my hair to be uneven ? Why would I want you to cut it when you urself told me in person that you don't cut short hair so now you're contradicting urself ? I went to Magic Hair Studio for a simple haircut, basically just to make the length of my hair a little shorter. Maggie ended up chopping my hair in different lengths, and now I'm forced to keep my hair up in a bun to hide this awful haircut. This lady doesn't know how to cut hair. Please, be careful when you go there, or maybe just avoid this place. It's totally unacceptable what this lady did to my hair. read more

I love the way my hair came out!!! I went in looking like a hot mess!!! But let me tell you I just don't let anyone touch my hair.... But I Thank God I was lead to get my hair done ( Aide ) did a beautiful job she took her time and didn't rush in doing my hair and she did a very clean job!!! Meaning some hairstylist do a fast and messy job but Not at magic Hair Studio. Let just tell you that I truly walked out of the salon with the biggest smile ever. After my hairstylist retired I never found anyone that could do my hair right. But now I have Magic Hair Studio and let me tell you the name Magic says it all. Worst beauty salon ever I don't recommend to come here I bring my mom today to paint her hair nice but they didn't do nothing to her they just grab the money and that's all didn't paint the hair my mom wanted!!! Aide did an amazing job on my hair, it's the first time in years of my salon experience, that someone finally got it right! My hair holds lot of red, my hair is thin and bleach damages hair but if you don't over process and you take care of it, it will be ok. And I love the beige/ashy look! read more

The girls are caring and welcoming and honest with their work. Each one of them is an artist for hair! Meet Nancy, she's a miracle worker on my hair! My hair looked like a fragile faded mop and I look better than I could have imagined. She was gentle on my hair knowing it was dry, frail & a colored disaster. Thought it was cool that she even suggested my returning safely in a couple weeks after I properly hydrated my hair to resist further chemical damage. This made me safe about this not being only a money exchange. Because of my need to return to work, I opted to go with moving forward and, if needed, cutting my hair shorter to remove the damaged ends. We both took a deep breath and I prayed for a happy ending. To my surprise, my hair looks fantastic! She really did a great job! Aside from doing my hair, she ordered me some lunch as I was starving. Thanks Nancy! The crew there was great. Went with my mom to get our hair cuts the lady my mom got was super nice she had short hair did not get her name. But the Asian lady I got was STRESSED OUT she was dealing with a perm at the same time as cutting my hair. You can tell she didn't want to be there. Hands down one of the best hair stylist I know. I highly recommend. I've never been satisfied with my hair with anyone knowing that I am picky. Same hairstyle same length the only difference was that it did look cleaner I asked her is this it can you at least style it or put product?? She responded that she had removed a lot of volume but his hair need to grow more to achieve that look Wth!!!! So what did I actually pay $60 for ? For her to clean it? What was the purpose of doing all this research and confirming with them before the cut that this was something they can actually do!? I'm in sales and avoid bringing people in just to make the sale if you're not going to give them what they want! Have morals and set real expectations. The only difference from when my son walked in and when we left was less volume and she comb it. I'm still asking my self where is the "wolf's cut" that I paid for!!???? Never got it!

Reservation fee: He required a $50 reservation fee via Zelle, that went towards service. Franks assistant might work on your hair with him and in his place: He used me to train his assistant, Eliana, how to do the balayage with him and also in his place when he needed to tend to another client he was still working on. She was sweet and helpful, and the highlights turned out good under Frank's supervision. He uses a method of teasing the root, spraying it with hairspray, and then applying the lightening mixture, to get that seamless look. Eliana also did my haircut which was unexpected since I booked with Frank, not his assistant. It took her a while to cut it, and it turned out just ok. From what she said she is newer to the industry unlike Frank with many more years of experience. Time: It took about 5 hours for the balayage, toner, and cut. Overpaying at this salon: Another stylist in the salon was rudely talking about how much more she was charging new clients compared to old clients. Frank kept a neutral vibe while she ranted on about not needing anyone if they don't want to pay her higher price. This didn't sit well due to the fact that I paid hundreds more at this salon to see Frank than I have anywhere else to get my hair done. She didn't mention anything about her expenses going up due to inflation, just that she's making so much more from new clients now. The combined total to Frank and Eliana was $562.00 for the cut, balayage, toner and tips to each. I won't be returning as the experience and result was not stellar for the premium price. For the same service, my previous hairdresser in Pasadena was in the mid-high 300s w/tip (and this was after raising her prices a few years ago- it used to be low 300s) and my new hairdresser in Rancho Cucamonga is in the low 300s w/tip.

Tldr: Don't get your hair done by TONY…read more I got my digital perm done about a week ago have been debating whether or not to write a review. However, this whole appointment and the end result was too unpleasant for me to ignore. Tony was the one who did my perm and Tony was unprofessional. Please avoid having Tony do your hair. To start, Tony showed up to the appointment 15 minutes late (and his coworker was telling him his 11 o'clock was there) and then seemed very disinterested in trying to get the service started. Then, after briefly glancing at my reference photo and finding his own- Tony told me that my hair needed to go shorter and proceeded to give the most careless haircut ever. Total hack job. During the perm, Tony rolled each hair extremely tight that he even had to pause to massage his hands. The overly tight rolls bruised my scalp and Tony was so careless with placing the spacers between the rollers and scalp that I actually was tearing up because the pain was so unbearable. And even though I mentioned that it hurt Tony lowkey just ignored it?? To top it off- Tony ran out of rollers HALFWAY throughout the process so I had to wait with the crazy tight rollers for around 30 minutes (I am not exaggerating). And Tony's not the one that informed me about it- Tony's nice coworkers were the ones that continued to check in and keep me updated. Also, the whole salon had 3 digital perms going on (including mine) and they kept grabbing the rollers coming off from another client and directly using it on my hair. I don't know if that's normal but I thought every tool was supposed to be disinfected prior to using it on another client. If the digital perm turned out the way I wanted- I would not be so upset but the curls were MUCH MUCH tighter than I asked for. But mostly the experience sucked. And it sucks because I had come here previously for a regular perm and had such a great experience that I trusted the salon for another appointment. I will not be visiting this salon again. (And clearly I am very upset towards TONY for screwing up my hair and being a total incompetent asshole throughout the whole appointment. Also, maybe you wouldn't lose YOUR VAPE IN THE FUCKING BIN OF DIGITAL HAIR ROLLERS if you weren't too busy vaping while doing your client's hair.)

When I arrived, the woman was the ONLY employee and she was already working on a customer. She was very kind but I'm afraid that the employees that helped me schedule my appointment did not do their due diligence prior to my service. I have very kinky and thick hair. When I called to make my appointment, I was very clear about having a stylist that knows how to work with curly hair and if they'd be available on the day of my appointment because I was on a strict schedule to make my flight to NY. While the woman was working on her other customer she was explaining to me that she doesn't work with curly hair and wouldn't be able to give me the look I wanted which I understand--not everyone knows how to work with my type of hair. Instead, we settled on a wash and style with my natural hair. But with her still working on the other customer, I had to wait 50 minutes before I realized I was going to be to my flight. I'm very disappointed with my experience because I was relying on this appointment to perfect my look for my NY trip. Grateful that the employee was transparent with her work style as to not waste my time but I will not be coming back. If you choose to come, stress the importance of your preferences so you are not disappointed like I was.

Aquí no hacemos magia, tengo las fotos del antes y del después del tratamiento y te las puedo mostrar para que veas con tus ojos si era que lo traía peor como dijo tu estilista, y quizás sean los más baratos, pero 200 para una keratina no es tan accesible para cualquier persona, quizás alguien tendrá que ahorrar para poder hacerse el tratamiento para que a tus estilistas les importe un bledo y lo único que les importe sea cobrar, yo soy cliente y tu estilista debe hacer las preguntas correctas por ejemplo la primera vez llamé y me dijo ven y manejé media hora, me hizo esperar casi 40 minutos y cuando game iba a sentar me dijo esta es la que tú quieres verdad, la que se enjuaga, le dije a helena no, yo quiero la que me ofreciste la vez pasada la keratina brasileña que vale 150, me dijo a ti no te vale 150 te vale 200 anteriormente ya me había cotizado.... Y me subió el precio y dijo de todas maneras no te la alcanzo a hacer porque tengo muchos tintes y cerramos a las 5 y además tú no dijiste que querías la permanente, le dije yo soy cliente porque tú que eres la profesional no me preguntaste, entonces yo debo saber que tienen muchos tratamientos? Debería ser la persona más clara y no hacerme ir, sentarme a esperar 50 minutos para después subirme el precio y decirme que no me la puede hacer porque no le alcanza para l tiempo, me dijo que el martes me la podía hacer y ahí voy de nuevo porque la quería, y después de 3 semanas no se ve ni rastros de un tratamiento de alisado, y luego programo la cita para un tinte, el no dice que va a trabajar hasta las 5 llegué tarde porque estaba lloviendo y dijo que había perdido la cita le dije ok está bien, le hice el reclamo de la keratina y su maravillosa respuesta es no hacemos milagros jajajjaja vaya que profesional tienes en tu negocio, solo le importa cobrar read more

Magic Hair Studio is a gem in Baldwin Park! I called around 10:30 AM, and Elena answered the phone with a warm and friendly demeanor. She was incredibly helpful and managed to fit me in for a same-day appointment. When I arrived a few hours later, Aide and Nancy greeted me with the same warmth and friendliness. Elena did an amazing job with my hair. I was a bit nervous about trying a new salon, but the entire team made me feel right at home. Their expertise is evident, and they all seem to truly care about their clients. A huge shout-out to Nancy, who even offered to order me food when she placed her own order. I was starving and took her up on the offer, enjoying one of the best tortas I've ever had. If you're in the Baldwin Park area, I highly recommend booking an appointment at Magic Hair Studio. Maggie is seriously the best! I've been trying different stylists for years and nobody understands my style the way Maggie does. She listens, gives honest suggestions, and always leaves my hair looking clean, fresh, and sharp. What I really like is she takes her time and pays attention to detail instead of rushing you. The fade and styling were perfect, and she made sure I liked everything before I left. Super friendly and professional too. I went to this hair salon as a first timer looking to dye my hair from brown with blonde highlights to a copper balayage & they gave me exactly what i wanted. Nancy was my stylist who came in on her day off to do my hair. I really love the work she did on me. I get compliments all the time about how well the hair color goes with my skin. Been getting my haircuts with Elena since Fanstastic Sam's, followed her here to this new location. She is an amazing stylist, she's always cheerful and talkative.
