My wife had the same experience of the wife of Frank R.'s wife (other review below). I'm not one to leave bad reviews but this one got me pretty annoyed when my wife told me. I recommend the man who works here to just cut the hair how the customer wants it. I will also say my wife came here before and she said the lady who cut her hair then was great. Although I only come to see Rose about 2x a year, she will treat you like a loyal customer for many years. Easy to book appointments with a text or call. She's done highlights, haircut and deep conditioning for me. Being in Baldwin Park, mind you this is not the fanciest salon. But whatever your request, Rose will get the job done with you with a very reasonable pricing. On my last visit she even did my nails when I brought my own nail polish because I didn't have time to go somewhere else that day. Got a pedicure and manicure with Tina. The service is not bad; it just that she didn't ask before scrub or do other things in order to charge extra. And when I get ti pay; I need to ask her to break down the fees: Pedi $22 Mani $15 Scrub $5 XXX $6 ( I don't know what is this- I think she mentioned to take a dead skin out the feet) However, I actually don't need manicure because I just got my nail trim, but she said just cut a bit and clean the skin. I came here with hopes of getting a haircut and a balayage, asked several times if it was possible, showed the stylist photos and everything. my hairdresser Jason said yes, that he'd done this many times. This is my second time going to get a layers haircut by Kayla, she is such a hair guru! I have very long, straight hair and lots of it but it was getting very heavy and hard to manage. I've gone to other salons that don't really know how to cut my very straight hair but Kayla uses a razor tool for my hair/layers which makes it look very nice, light and even. Would highly recommend Kayla, she's also super nice. Also, very reasonable pricing, bring cash if you can since they have a charge to pay with card. read more

I've been to this salon twice, both times as a walk-in for haircuts. My first visit was for a pixie cut, and today I came in for a bob. Both cuts turned out great, and I couldn't be happier. I've tried other, more expensive salons and they kept disappointing me; this salon keeps things easy and simple for me. The prices are reasonable, the staff is super friendly, and the salon is clean. Review based on waxing I called earlier in the morning for waxing for full legs, upper lip, and under arm. When I got there, there was a really small wait just to prep the room. The lady who waxed me was Tina. She was super nice. The wax wasn't too hot and she was very meticulous about getting all the hair. This is the first time that I went to this salon on Ramona Boulevard. When I arrived, I was a little bit confused because they were literally in the process of changing the name of the place. As soon as I walked in, I was prompted to enter my name and phone number to an iPad and soon after Kayla was taking care of me. She cut my hair, wax my eyebrows and did my eyelash extensions. Both of the ladies have very good skill and know what they are doing. Usually I don't go to the same salon after 3 times because stylists tend to screw my hair up after the 2nd times, but these 2 ladies have been very consistent and I'm super happy everytime I walk out of there. read more

Wow, arrived at Q' Hair & Nails in Baldwin Park for my hair appointment and was greeted with a hello and ready to get started. A few haircuts ongoing but i was slotted in gracefully. During my haircut I noticed they have a new manicurist so I asked if they could schedule me in after my haircut. Waiting a few minutes and I was foot soaking in a wonderful bath and getting my manicure. What a relaxing day and my feet and legs never felt better. I recommend the Luxury menu selection as Kim made my experience today better than anticipated. I hope my dinner date appreciates my pre-date efforts. I certainly do!!!! read more

Very very friendly in this place! I came here for a waxing - super quick, very good, and inexpensive! They don't offer nail service - but the space next door does. And that might be a good thing - focusing on the facials & the hair. Anyway, I was attended to by Silk (yes, that's her name) - she was very friendly. Tamed my brows - not too thin, nicely shaped and arched. She hustled for a chance to cut my unruly hair but I was in a hurry so I couldn't take her up on it - but I took her card. I think I will look her up for a hair cut/color next time. My husband has had his hair cut here and he liked it - it was good value and a solid cut. Check them out! Her name is Silk! Very unique and cute. She is very friendly and makes sure to ask you questions before cutting to insure you get what you pay for. I had not cut my hair in two years and my split ends were really bad, but she took care of it. I got layers in my hair and now my hair looks healthy and beautiful as ever!
