Went in last Friday for a hard gel fill and pedicure. I told the gal what I wanted and I needed a crack fixed on my index finger. She said, she would fix it. She did the fill but glossed over my crack which, made a bigger crack the next day because it wasn't done correctly and I couldn't get in the next day, to fix it. I did like that she was careful around the cuticle using the drill. She was nice but I had to go in yesterday to a new place and have them correct the crack. There wasn't enough product on the nail. I could see the sides were super thin. The salon its self was ok. Needed the floors cleaned. I say this because I worked in a salon years ago and ppl look to see if it's clean. I loved how easy it was to make an appointment on their website. I decided to give this place a try because of the high reviews, and my niece really wanted to get her nails done. The salon is in a small plaza and can be easy to miss if you're not looking for it, but they do welcome walk-ins. I booked a 1:00 pm appointment and arrived at 12:50 pm. I stood at the front desk for about three minutes before noticing their check-in tablet, so I entered my phone number. I wasn't sure if I was supposed to sit down afterward, so I waited another few minutes until someone finally noticed me and asked if I needed help. Once checked in, things moved along more smoothly. A few minutes later, my niece and I were seated in the pedicure chairs. She got a gel manicure for $30 and a gel pedicure with callus remover for $30 + $10. I got a regular pedicure with callus remover for $30 and no gel polish. Now, here's the reason for the rating I gave: not only did I wait quite a bit at the front desk, but they also overcharged me for services I didn't request. As you can see from my receipt, they charged my niece $46.35 each for her gel manicure and gel pedicure, and they even added a gel removal--she had nothing on her nails to remove. For my pedicure, they charged $41.20 and added a gel service I didn't get. The math is not mathing, and I have no idea how they came up with these numbers. Just be careful when you come here and make sure to REVIEW YOUR CHARGES. Aside from the billing issues, the staff were very nice, attentive, and their work was well done. If they can get the check-in process and pricing under control, this place could easily live up to its high reviews. read more

I came to get my nails done for a trip. I only wanted gel x with a french tip. I felt like I had to watch the whole thing because I was noticing little things the technician was not doing. First of all, drilling my nails hurt, that should not happen at all. It was caused by her going over the nail multiple times. Secondly, when she was doing the color for the french tip, I had to ask her to put on a second coat because of how streaky and translucent the first was. My thumb did not have the extension applied on correctly and I could see a gap between my nail and the extension. When I brought up the issue she offered to just cover the nail with more gel polish. I refused and told her I do not want water in between that space. Lastly, I asked for a blue chrome to finish, she told me the only colors they had were: white, clear, gold and silver. That was a lie, because another lady heard me ask for blue and she started looking. After looking at my nails the sides are horribly painted on. These look like press-ons. I felt like my time and money was wasted here for the worst nails I've ever had done. Could've had better nails from press ons. read more

Absolute rave. I went to a different nail place and the nails I got were so horrible I'm only in town for a wedding so I went to Google found magic nails and decided to try. When I tell you I showed the technician my nails explained what I wanted and she did exactly that. It was my first time and going alone to the nail salon so I was a bit anxious, but the business manager was very kind and made the experience very comfortable :) I really appreciated how she took her time to pick out the best color for me based on my reference photo and also how she took her time shaping and filing my nails, even making sure to apply the gel polish evenly, going back to fix and reapplying if needed. I've had bad experience in the past from other salons where the technician was rushing and being careless, resulting in bumpy nails or uneven shapes. OH EM GEE! I loved my experience! Chloe helped me out. When I came in, it was empty--mind you, I've never been to this salon before. As an introvert in need of a pedicure, Yelp was amazing in helping me find this hidden gem! The total was $40 (not including tip)--AMAZING! Chloe was so sweet and gentle. She asked if the color was what I wanted, even did a swatch and asked again! Not many places I've been to offer that kind of reassurance, so this was truly lovely. This is the WORST nail salon I have ever been to. I've been here numerous times because Kloe did my pedicures, and she was the only reason I kept coming back. The second time I brought my boyfriend, and the woman who did his pedicure seemed very moody the entire time. He mentioned how uncomfortable it felt, but I brushed it off at the time. Unfortunately, I ended up getting that same woman during my last visit, and my pedicure came out horrible. I didn't complain and still over-tipped because I didn't want to cause an issue. Today was the final straw. When I walked in, no one acknowledged me at all. I truly wish the video surveillance could be reviewed because I have never felt so ignored and discriminated against in a business. It was extremely upsetting. I'm five months pregnant and just wanted to relax, but instead I left in tears. I had to call my boyfriend to pick me up because I was so overwhelmed. I saw a lot of reviews about Emma so I decided to try out the Groupon deal for the Gel X with design. Thankfully, I was able to book an online appointment with her for the very next day. The appointment only took about an hour, so I was relieved because I thought it might take longer, she took the time to make sure that I was satisfied with the end result, and she was also very easy to talk to. This is my first official experience at a nail salon in the US so I wasn't quite sure what to expect. There was a quite a bit of filing and buffing involved. Originally I was thinking of using my natural nails, but I actually do like the feel of the Gel X. For the fake nails, she did clip my real nails a bit for hygienic reasons. She didn't judge my hands at all, and actually told me that they're very soft. I'm very self-conscious about mine, but I felt welcomed there. The only thing is my left thumb looks a bit off, but that might partially It's not a big deal be due to the shape of my nail. She originally wanted to give me almond ones, but I opted for the more square style. The interior is very clean, and costed about $65 with tip. I'm returning for my next set and to get a pedicure, too! I highly recommend Magic Nails, and to book with Emma. It turned out so cute; I'm in love! I really liked the quality shown in the reviews but when I went, the quality was not great. I got a basic hard gel nail with deep French tips and my girl screwed me up. I think she is new and not familiar with hard gel because the salon owner came over and fixed her mistakes at one point. She over filed my nail to one side and now it's crooked. There is no apex on my nail beds and the French tips were drawn on very unevenly. Also this took her two and a half hours to complete. read more
