This is the first place I've been to that understands what I'm asking: short hair, same length all over. That doesn't sound difficult but I always get my goldendoodle back with her ears too long or her snout too long and uneven. She even came back with a black eye from PetSmart grooming at Waterford last time. The white of her eye was black/red for a week which suggested trauma to her eye. Anyway, I've been looking for a new place and this one definitely lived up to the great reviews I saw. It felt really friendly. My pup is clean, smells great, and is even all over. They don't take credit cards, only cash or check, which is not my favorite but she was very clear upfront so that I wouldn't be caught off guard. The cost was exactly what I expected. $70 for a total grooming of my 75lb slightly tangled goldendoodle. Everywhere I go it's between $70-80 depending on how matted she is. A little upset, I paid for my pup to get a haircut and be picked up and dropped off, he was sent in a retractable leash and orange vest for nighttime and was brought back with a completely different vest and leash. I can understand mix-ups but I paid a lot of money for those items and I bought them specifically as my dog is black with a bit of gray and I chose the vest so if he were walking outside he could be seen with headlights. Not only that but I paid in cash with $5 change back and the stylist knew I was paying in cash and did not do anything to give me my change back. I did not want to tip as I was brought back a leash and vest that did not belong to me and the story that explained why was even more unprofessional. I can understand when a business is busy and you want to just finish the job and go home for the day but It is very unprofessional just to choose a leash and vest not taking into account who it belongs to because you had a long day. I work close to 10-hour shifts 5 days a week sometimes 6 I still make sure I am accountable and responsible for my work making mistakes only that affect me and not others. I also decided to give them another chance after the ridiculous price raises, which is what happened. So long story short I am not doing business with them again. read more

We use to love taking our fur babies to Cara. They loved her just as much as she loved them. She sold the place, and we figured we would support the new owners. The first time we picked up our Rain, she was in distress. It got so bad that she would start to cry as soon as we entered the parking lot. The last time she wouldn't even let us take her out of the car. I DONT know what they are doing to our pets, but I can bet that it is not pleasant. I took my dogs , two tiny rescue terriers, to be groomed. Honestly they did a good job. My only issue is that they kept the dogs for 8 hours. When I called to make the appointment I spoke to the owner about an extremely traumatic experience they had the last time they were groomed (not at Cuddly Critters). When I dropped them off today I remind the lady about the situation. With all the pre-planning they had the dogs from 7:45 to 3:30. Truthfully I was frantic when I arrived to pick them up. I went to pick them up without having been called. They were still working on one of the dogs. When I went to pick them up I was sure I would never bring them back. Upon seeing them I could tell that the dogs were fine, and were groomed very nicely. I more than likely will not return, however The quality of their work was quite nice. read more

I'm so happy I found this place on yelp. I've been having such a hard time looking for a good grooming place for my dog. At Cuddly Critters they made space for her for the next day. The owner, I believe, super nice and kind. She took Luna and made her so comfortable immediately. It's super affordable which is a plus! My 9 pound miniature Schnauzer was hurt While in there care with the (new owners) to get groomed both eyes bruised from a collar or harness they used to groom my dog. My Vet said that his injuries are conclusive with a collar or restrain used on a dog that was to tight and the pressure ruptured the small veins in his eyes that caused the bruising . I spoke with the owner and gave them my Vets info for her to listen to the vets medical opinion and I also requested that she pay for the dogs bill and they refused to pay for the bill even with the vets advise. read more

My Jack's ear was traumatized (his ear drum) - yes, per our vet. The noose was pulled to tight and did nerve damage on his right side - so left and right ears. He is deaf now. Nice little pet grooming business that was very convenient for me to get to. They aren't advertised too well so I'm very happy that I came across the business listing. I had called a couple of other local companies who had treated my inquiries with them in a very lackadaisical manner. Namely a place called Beauregard's Grooming Salon who never seem to answer their phone and don't do a good job returning messages. Kara at Cuddly Critters was very nice and accomidating. Like many of us, my dogs are my family so I'm particular with who I trust to take care of them. Even though my golden retriever Bubba was nervous when I dropped him off, he was a happy camper when I picked him up. Kara did a great job with his haircut and bath! His mohawk came out great and it was nice for my dog to smell good for a change. The prices weren't anything special but piece of mind doesn't carry a dollar sign for me. $65 for a bath, nail trim and hair cut was pretty much the standard price given to me everywhere I inquired for a large dog. Made and appointment for a hygiene trim for a cat. Felt shamed by the person I spoke with when making the appointment about it being the first time the cat was professionally groomed. He has a medium coat and never any matting issues. He's just a big boy who has a hard time cleaning himself. When my daughter brought him they mention again that we've never had him groomed before, but said they would acclimate him and get him comfortable 1st. Great. Almost 6 hours later, they called my daughter to let her know they couldn't even get him out of his carrier. Six hours in a carrier. No water? No litter box? When she got there he was sitting in his carrier, in a larger kennel surrounded by dogs in neighboring kennels barking. He was panting and in distress. How would he ever calm down in a noisy kennel area surrounded by barking dogs? If they could not get him out of his kennel after about 2 hours, we should have been called. So disappointed. read more

From what I understand, the back door to the business was open (during the coldest day of the year here in Orlando) and a baby gate was not latched allowing my dog to get out of the building sometime during the grooming process. I've taken my dog here a handful of times and they have always been great. They keep her a bit longer than what I would have wished but I always let it go. I brought her there this past time and after about 5 hours I call and ask is she ready yet? They say no, we are running behind. I call back an hour later- is she ready now? They say no, one of our groomers walked out on their shift. I'm getting agitated because I would have appreciated a phone call explaining this before I got to this point. They said she should be ready in another hour. This is now SEVEN HOURS for a MINI GROOM and I'm furious my dog has been caged up for this long. I drive up there after that hour was up not even knowing if she is ready or not, I was just going to take her home. When I get there they tell me that it took so long because she being very difficult and it took 3 of them to shampoo her. Well after being locked up for seven hours I'm pretty sure I would be irritated too. I was shocked after all that they blame my dog?? I'm not trying to rip this place apart because they have always done a great job and are super friendly but this left a very bad taste in my mouth. Won't be back read more
