I visited Magic X Nails & Spa in Mission Viejo recently and had such a great experience. They are under new management and it truly shows. Everyone was genuinely kind welcoming and focused on making sure I was comfortable and happy the entire time. One thing I loved right away was their drink menu with both alcoholic and non alcoholic options. I ordered a Vietnamese coffee and it was creamy smooth and such a nice treat during my services. I got their Organic Luxury Pedicure and this is where they really stand out compared to other salons. They use fresh organic ingredients and offer multiple massage options including hot stones tools and a massage gun. Instead of using a harsh callus scraper they use a callus remover gun which was gentle but very effective. My legs felt deeply moisturized and my heels were incredibly smooth without any discomfort. For my nails I came in with Gel X already on. They did not do a brand new full set which I appreciated. Instead they helped me by doing a builder gel refill fixing the shape cleaning up my cuticles and making my nails look fresh again. Everything looked so much cleaner and more balanced when I left. I also appreciated that all gel based services come with a two week guarantee which really shows how much they care about quality and customer satisfaction. (bonus points for being open on weekends!) I have been on a nail growth journey and consistently getting builder gel manicures for a few months now so I was skeptical if they would do a nice job. Ty was absolutely amazing and far exceeded my expectations, it's the best my nails have ever looked. He focused on getting the perfect layering, shaping, and cuticle clean up. My other salon neglected my cuticles and did sub par job with shaping, so it was great to have someone who took their time. Lin did a wonderful job with my gel pedicure as well. She was so sweet and did a thorough job with callous removal and making me feel pampered! Overall, I am so happy that I tried MagicX Nail Salon out. The very first thing I noticed was how CLEAN their salon was, there wasn't nail dust or polish where it shouldn't be, and the pedicure chairs were like new and worked well. The service was excellent, only thing I wish was that she focused more on the massage, rather than doing the wax on my feet during the massage. That should have been before or after, not during. I miss the nail Medic. I tried them again as the new owners. They got me in same day. I got the highest pedicure option - didn't get the 10 min massage it said they'd give. I asked for dazzle dry they told me they don't have it and I ended up getting gel. The girl who did my toes grinded them so thin. If I'd ask something they'd talk in a diff language so I felt so uncomfortable. This was supposed to be a Mother's Day break for me and a gift from my husband. Everything is clean and sanitary. Nice tunes playing in the background provide a soothing atmosphere. The staff are well kept and warm. My technician Gina was a dream. She was polite, helpful and worked wonders on my nails. I did the gel-x manicure which are a less harmful version of nail extensions - they feel light and natural. Gina helped with getting the right colors (by the way they have a great selection of colors to choose from). The whole process took 1.5 hours and I walked away with stunning colorful nails to mark the start of summer! Free outdoor parking available. The salon is located at the side of the building and is right at the end after a yoga studio. Staff wear masks. There's also a shield on the mani table between the customer and the technician. I really enjoyed my experience coming to the Nail Medic. I haven't been since they remodeled the interior and it looks great. Still very clean and peaceful like I remember. I came in for a gel-x removal and dip manicure. Kailie (I hope I spelled her name correctly) did a wonderful job. I changed my mind halfway through on the nail shape I wanted and she was very kind in adjusting. She even asked several times for me to confirm the shape she was doing to make sure I was getting exactly what I wanted. The front desk lady (I wish I caught her name) was seriously the sweetest. She helped me figure out which colors to do based off the picture of another girl's nails. Before leaving, she gave me a full size hand lotion as a thank you and even let me pick which scent! The staff is very kind and willing to have a conversation with you - which lately hasn't been the case at other salons nearby. Looks like they're adding more services soon (eyelash extensions, more nail services, facials, etc.) and are being mindful of providing the least toxic methods to having beautiful nails and beauty treatments. Every time I visit the Nail Medic, I have had nothing but a great experience. They all are very polite and welcoming. Each tech is experienced and patient. I especially prefer Nina for my pedicures, as she is extremely thorough and takes her time perfecting the nails. She did such a great job on my last pedicure, which lasted a couple of months and even went through a lake trip without chipping! Karen is also quick and efficient with her manicures which I appreciated. They have a great selection of colors and services, I also do highly recommend the dip that I got in the past, Kevin (manager) did an amazing job and it held up well over time. Today when I visited right when they opened, I was immediately greeted and helped as a walk-in. I recommend making an appointment usually, but today was not busy at all. Nina and Karen started straight away on my services and were done with my mani pedi in under an hour. I would highly recommend this place as it is clean, organized, efficient and overall a nice and relaxing atmosphere. I wanted an oval/almond shape and she checked in with me throughout shaping to make sure I was happy with it. I asked for her recommendation on a light pink for the color and she let me know of this beautiful sheer pink (I think it had "ballerina" in the name). So we did clear dip with this ballerina pink gel on top and it came out looking so good! Kaelie was accommodating with me wanting to add accent nails at the end - we added glitter to two of them.
