I always come to Bee Shine whenever im in the area and they "nail" it every time LOL. I did a walk-in and they did their best to squeeze me in. Mindy did such a great job. Super time efficient and still came out immaculate. So far all places that ive been to have filed my nails aggressively to shape it almond regardless of what i asked for (?). The quality of the nails are great, but I had a negative experience with one particular nail tech. There was a miscommunication and essentially, she gave me Gel-X on all my nails when I didn't need them (she should be able to tell looking at them because all my natural nails had grown out enough from last time). I gently asked for a small discount but I was met with rude attitude and accusatory behavior. I called on a Friday around Noon to schedule an appointment for two in Saturday afternoon. They were able to accommodate the request. The have six seats at the nail bar and around 10-12 massage chairs for mani/pedis. My friend and I had the pamper me manicure and royal pedicure. Both of our technicians were amazing. The service was attentive and focused on the customer. The owner greeted me when I arrived about five minutes early and had our spots ready. We were there about 2 hours. One star for friendly service. I went in to have my powder dip manicure (done by a different salon) removed and opted for a regular manicure. The manicurist shaved my nails down so much they were thin as paper and painful. I also didn't pay attention to it at the time, but when she went to file my nails before painting them, the emery board was not new and had been used. My nails, 3 months later, are still not back to normal and some are discolored. Looks almost like a fungal infection so I'm seeing a doctor to confirm. I feel bad because I loved the atmosphere and staff, but this is unacceptable. I'll probably never let anyone do my nails again. read more

This was the worst manicure I've ever had. Chi left excess nail polish on my skin and under my nails, did not file my nails evenly--leaving many frayed hang-nails and jagged edges, and rubbed my skin raw when filing--leaving multiple cuts on my skin. Throughout the manicure, Chi made multiple comments about how lucky I was to have external and internal beauty--at first I thought she was being kind.. but the more this was repeated, it felt disingenuous and made me feel very uncomfortable. My manicure was also supposed to come with a massage, which turned out to be a 10-15 second lotion application. Throughout the manicure, I asked Chi multiple times to be more careful when filing, but she continued to roughly file across my skin. I also asked her to correct multiple areas of jagged & frayed nails, but she had difficulty seeing and correcting these. Thankfully when I was checking out, Ryan noticed how poorly my nails were filed and quickly did a filing touch-up for me at the register. Truly appalled by my experience today. My best friend offered to treat me to mani/pedis as a belated birthday present. She recently moved to the area and didn't have a usual nail spot - so I hopped on Yelp and chose Bee Shine for its positive reviews and photos. My friend called ahead to book our appts and received a confirmation text message. When we got to the salon, my friend checked in on the tablet at the front desk and communicated to the staff that we had arrived for our 3 pm appointment. We spent a few minutes browsing polish and catching up, only to realize it had been almost 20 minutes since we arrived. My friend checked in again with the staff, who initially seemed to recognize that we had been waiting, and said to give them 2 minutes. Needless to say, 2 minutes never came. At 3:45 we decided to call it. As we walked out, I said something to the effect of "bye, thanks" and the staff didn't say a word. He did not ask me any questions about shape or anything. He was really aggressive and filed my acrylics down very thin and flat, I like a high Apex I've never had to inform any nail tech about the style because this was already an existing set. So, I tried my best to communicate that to him, but it was not heard. My gel did not cure fully so I had a lot of chipping. I definitely overpaid and they looked awful. I did not and will not rebook and since have found another neighboring salon. If you are a client with a specific nail style do not book here. They now have ruined what used to be a great nail salon.
