We decided to check out this restaurant in a Saturday afternoon. I believe it was around 3pm. We were concerned once we parked in front, since there were very few cars. However, once we placed the order and saw how delicious everything looked. We felt so much better. And then we tried out fish and chips, fried shrimp, boiled eggs ( the English fried version ). All of those plates were delicious and sufficient for our group of 3 adults and two small kids to share. Along with a side of chicken wings that went along well with their tasty hot sauce . The food was OK. I can't really speak upon the service as the server was super dry. I came on a Sunday morning. There was only two other patrons. They are sitting at the bar. It was freezing and we ordered several things. The corn beef hash breakfast was OK. The half order of biscuits and gravy was OK as well but the biscuit was cold and the gravy was barely warm so I didn't eat much of it but you see in the picture is as much as I could tolerate which was half of a half because I thought it was just strange that it was not warm for the kind of meal it was. Now the kicker of all of it is that when I went to the bathroom, it wasn't the cleanliest bathroom overall but afterwards I realized there was no soap in either of the dispensers and this is also the same bathroom that the employees use. Went here on a Saturday early afternoon with another couple. 1st time to new location. I had peri peri wing basket. Wife and brother in law split the larger portion fish and chips (haddock). Sister-in-law had the steak,ale, and bacon pie. Portion sizes were good and flavor of all was great. Cool place with good beer selection and service was great. Nice to see they have a large projection screen for European football, darts, and cricket matches. Felt like I was in a pub back in the UK. This was just one of our many stops in Mount Dora and we mainly just stopped for some drinks and appetizers and everything we ordered was very good. We were able to sit outside and it was a beautiful day out so it was perfect. This is a British pub and they offer 16 imported beers on draught. We all had different beers from their extensive menu and none of us were disappointed. We had the pretzels with beer cheese and onion rings for apps. The beer cheese was so, so good and the onions were huge, perfectly crispy and not greasy at all. They have a menu with lots of choices and on weekends they serve a traditional British breakfast. My husband and I were spending the day in Mt. Dora and before taking a boat tour of Lake Dora and the Dora Canal, we decided to stop in for a lite bite at the Magical Meat Boutique - a pub/restaurant owned and operated by a guy from London, where the original MMB was located. There is so much memorabilia on the walls throughout the restaurant. My favorite is a doll set featuring Def Leppard commemorating their "Hysteria" album. After the boat tour, we went back to the Magical Meat Boutique for dinner. Our server, Kate, was totally amazing. She was more than happy to answer questions and accommodate my special requests. Kate's personality was just awesome. She and I are both American women who are married to British men and swapped "how we met" stories. My husband, being from England, had a hard time choosing what to eat both visits because he was definitely familiar with the many offerings available on the menu. The had breakfast offerings til 4pm including full English and Irish breakfasts, as well as popular breakfast sandwiches. There was plenty to choose from on the appetiser section, including Scotch Eggs. Dinner options were plentiful. We did see an order of fish and chips go by...what an enormous piece of fish (choose between cod or haddock) and another entree of bangers and mash served in a large Yorkshire pudding. I will most definitely go back to that place. Oh...if you EVER get the chance to go that restaurant, you MUST get the sticky toffee pudding with the warm custard sauce. read more

A pretty neat place if you want to explore your pallet a little bit more! I was craving Fish n Chips for some reason (my love for UK Fish n Chips is crazy), and this was the closest place with the best reviews for it. We were self-seated outside and was welcomed by our server, Chyenne. She was so bubbly and friendly, it made our dine-in experience great! We ordered the Fish n Chips (of course) and the Hunters Smothered Chicken Breast, paired with two Magic Mojitos. My goodness, their food was so delicious, and their drinks were perfect for a beautiful, sunny day in Mount Dora. We stopped in today with high hopes, but left somewhat disappointed. We tried the Scotch egg which was ok. It had a crunchy texture and my hubs liked it even though he typically won't eat hard boiled eggs. I had the Cod/chips w/side of mushy peas. The peas were seasoned with mint and tasty. The fish was very greasy but plentiful. The hubs had shepherd's beef pie and enjoyed it with mashed potatoes. The downside? I picked up the malt vinegar bottle to find it crusty dirty. Wasn't too happy with them when they were across the street but they're a proper pub now and the few times we've been in, everything's been "spot on." God, I hate saying that. lol. Scones were outstanding! Sandwiches were "ok"... too much cream cheese for me and the chix salad felt more like tuna salad. The quiche was cold/room temp which is ok but it had to be salted/peppered to help with the flavor. They only offer black tea with your service. I think some of the offerings are why it's only $25. Service was good and consistent. The room was a bit warm and it wasn't full. I think it might've been miserable if there were more tables occupied. Would I go again - I think so. I can't believe I forgot to ask take pictures of my food. I heard great things about their lamb burger and I just had to order it. The Camden burger came with chopped tomatoes and parsley tabouli with some sort of aioli sauce. The burger itself very juicy ( I have mine medium) and didn't taste "gamey" at all. It came with fries which you have to drizzle with malt vinegar. This restaurant is a cute place to stop by when you're in Mount Dora; you won't regret it.
