Everything looked beautiful but tasted either burnt, bland, or both. Every toast item arrived burnt enough that you could taste it in every bite. Our server came by often to refill waters and check on us, but the service somehow still felt oddly impersonal. Since the restaurant wasn't busy at all, it also made us wonder how attentive the service would be during an actual rush. When I picked up the cake the sprinkles were not up the sides of the cake. There was a small 1 inch ribbon around the bottom of the cake. The roses and writing were not done in bold colors but rather pastel blue and purple. The happy Birthday writing is in such a pale pink you can hardly see it on the white frosting. I really hope this tastes better than the last one. The bakery is not far from my house and when I decided to try it I was happy to support a small business and have it so close to home. This time of year is a very busy time with birthdays around our house. I usually get a minimum of 7 cakes during the months of Sep and Oct. Unfortunately I will need to look for a new bakery. I gave Leslie's 2 tries and have been disappointed both times. They really need better baking and decorating skills. Better customer service would not hurt either.
