Pasadena is one of my all-time favorite cities and they have some great restaurants. We hadn't been in this side of town in a while, so I asked my son to find us a new spot to try today. We ended up at Magnolia House for a late lunch/early dinner. They also serve breakfast/brunch only on weekends. Walked in around 4:30pm and we were greeted by Brian, one of the managers. Brian was the standout star of the whole experience! His energy was exceptional and he is such a great conversationalist. He checked on us several times throughout our meal and made sure we were doing well. He on his own was HANDS DOWN a five star human being. At first, he wanted to seat us in the back corner but I told him the table was too small and he accommodated us with a bigger table. Our server Kiana came up to the table with a pleasant smile and greeting to take our drink orders. I got a glass of cranberry juice along with some water. My son got the American Dream cocktail along with some water. We skipped on dessert. From 4-6pm, they have a happy hour menu with some of their cocktails and shareable plates. The portions are just a bit smaller and the prices are a little lower. It's a good way to sample different items. I think we got a good variety of food to enjoy. To start, we got the Little Gem Salad. It was such a unique combination of flavors and SUPER delicate/light. My son and I thoroughly enjoyed it. The next starter was the Zucchini and Feta Fritters, which was good but not the best out of everything else we ordered. The zucchini was a bit mushy but the batter it was fried in was crispy. Another starter we shared were the Moroccan Spiced Chicken Wings. These wings are gigantic and very flavorful. They definitely pack some heat, so be careful. I don't think the A/C was NOT working to begin with, so the place was already hot. The wings made us sweat even more. For entrées, we got the burger and the pork belly. Brian said they are known for their burger and after taking the first bite, it's clear as to why. It was absolutely PERFRCTION. So delicious! The bun, the meat, the cheese, the onions, and the crispy bacon...all of it mixed together into the perfect burger. I had wanted to add some mushrooms and avocado to it, but Kiana said they were unable to do it. I also asked for lettuce and she said that would be an extra charge. What extra charge for lettuce? We still got charged for avocado when the bill came, but they took it off once we mentioned it. The pork belly was also very tender, flavorful, and crispy. It's just hard to compete with the burger! We also got an order of the Belgian Fries to share and we were both pleasantly surprised at how good they were. The fries are salty and cut pretty thick. The sauce that came on the side was so yummy. We asked for a small extra cup to-go. All in all, the food was great and we liked everything. The vibe of the restaurant wasn't really all that for me. Brian genuinely made up for anything that was lacking in the atmosphere. He is such a wonderful asset to the restaurant and their company. The restaurant itself has been here for about 15 years now and it used to be a very old house. You can tell when you look around. They did a good job with the renovations, but you can see the different areas/rooms. I think they tried to keep the casual comfort of a home, while making it a slightly elevated experience. It was very clean everywhere, especially the bathrooms. They have one gender neutral bathroom, one for men, and one for women. No private parking, so you'll have to park on the street and put money in the kiosk. They also had an outdoor seating. Pretty BIG, only took picture of one side. They also have 2 small TVs. In the bar area and inside their cute lounge. I normally like to try new places, especially when I'm in Pasadena, so I'm not sure if I'll come back here. Maybe if Brian is working, it would definitely be worth stopping by again! Thank you all..
Wonderful experience!! Celebratory Happy hour with the girls! Our waitress, Jasmin was soo accommodating and served us well!! I enjoyed the Moroccan rub on the chicken wings and the zucchini fritters Along with the house burger , soo yummy!
I've driven past the Magnolia House hundreds of times but never dined here until now. I'm so regretting not coming here when it originally opened several years ago. The interior is so relaxing and decorative with velour seating and English setting. The staff are so nice and welcoming, with a professional attitude and always checking on us. The breakfast was done extremely well and tasted excellent, with all the flavors I'm accustomed to. I would not change anything and will try Happy Hour next!
We had a fantastic experience. A special shout-out to Jasmine, our server. The service was amazing, food was so flavorful, and the ambiance was very unique. We will definitely be back.
Food was delicious and had lots of flavor. Service was very nice and quick and gave great recommendations. The place was gorgeous especially the outdoor seating was very comfy.
Such a nice little spot to pop into for happy hour or one of their daily specials. I love me a good dirty martini, and having it with their marinated olives is honestly the best pairing. The whole place has such a warm, homey feel that makes you want to settle in and stay awhile. Perfect for a drink, a few bites, and some much-needed downtime to just unwind.
The server Kayla, was amazing! She recommended the Chicken n it was tasty! I will admit, the salad was better than the chicken in general... Ambiance was cool chill n we got to sit in the lounge area. Real comfy!
Initially came here for some drinks but ended up ordering more food since it sounded good. Luckily we found free convenient street parking just around the corner of the block. We requested for seating outside at the patio to enjoy some fresh air. There's also warm heat lamps outside in case its a colder evening. Portions were on a little on the smaller side, but it was still a good amount. Drinks were simple but good, enough to not be too sweet and not too heavy-handed where i felt the alcohol. Albacore Tuna Crudo - refreshing and tasty. I love crunch but the crispy shallots were a bit too much where it overpowered the fresh fish 7/10 Wagyu coulotte steak- good steak that wasn't too salty. The potatoes were really really good and cripsy (best part of the meal)! Again with the crispy shallots, they're adding them everywhere and it's an unnecessary crunch and sauce on top of the steak. 7/10 Bucatini pasta- I looked on yelp for reviews and the images look very good. While it was good and light, it wasn't as saucy as I saw from the reviews. Missing some flavor and oomph. 6/10 Overall nice chill place to grab a drink and catch up with friends.
Arrived at around 11:30 AM on a Sunday. There was a short wait since we had a large party, maybe around 10 minutes. I ordered the magnolia breakfast sandwich which came with a side of potatoes. The breakfast sandwich was just okay. It was mostly filled with scrambled eggs and there wasn't much bacon in it. The potatoes, on the other hand, were delicious. They were crispy and flavorful. Service was good. The brunch spot had a cozy vibe to it with couches and bar stools. They have a long list of alcohol offerings. The menu for alcohol was longer than the menu. If you enjoy day drinking, this would be the spot to do it. Don't think I'd come back though, there are many other brunch spots that have more to offer.
I pass by this place a lot and have been wanting to come try it out. They have a dog friendly patio so I brought my girl out to have brunch with us! The only thing with the patio is it's on a slant so I was little worried about our food and drinks spilling the whole time. We tried the shakshuka, home fries, and pain perdu. Loved the shakshuka - I just wish there was more bread with it. It was really saucy and they only gave 2 pieces of bread, I think it needs at least 4 pieces. At least we had the fries (which were delicious on their own) to sop up the rest of the shakshuka when we ran out of bread. Their pain perdu hit the spot for our sweet tooth. It was nice and fluffy and warm.
I've been here a few times for happy hour and it's always been a mix, sometimes a hit and sometimes a miss. I once asked for water one too many times it seems cause a waitress grabbed the pitcher from another table that just left and slammed it on my table. That was of course a miss. But that's been years so perhaps she's no longer there. When I got a new job, my new coworkers like this place so we've been a few times since and it's been decent. I haven't had another water incident but the most recent time I've been, I got a well drink and they must have used subpar vodka cause I woke up with a headache the next day and that was only after one drink and I'm by far not a lightweight. It only happens when I drink cheap alcohol. IYKYK. To be fair to them I've had some signature drinks from there before including their sangria and never had this problem. Anyways, on to the food, we usually get the fries, which I get without cheese cause I'm lactose. The waitress comes after I've already eaten like.a third to point out that there's cheese in the sauce she gave me. If I order without cheese, wouldn't you think to omit the cheese sauce too. Mind you it didn't look like it had cheese in it, nor did it really taste like it but I did stop eating it after she told me just in case. My coworkers like the wings. I think they're ok but kinda too soicy for me but the lemon wedge helps. The eggplant dip is good but needs more pita bread. The crudo is good but kinda small so it really is a small bite. I think I only come cause everyone else wants to come but it's not the greatest in food or service. If you decide to do patio seating, just know it's literally on the street. The restaurant itself is pretty inside and parking is easy at the lot half a block away.
My friends and I decided to grab brunch after running at the Rose Bowl and stumbled upon this cozy little spot nearby and I'm so glad we did! It's the perfect place for a sunny brunch. The space is super cute and inviting, with such a warm, cozy vibe. They have a full bar, so we ordered drinks before getting seated and they were delicious. It was the perfect start to brunch with the girls. I ordered the crab cake benedict and it did not disappoint. The crab cake was flavorful, but honestly the side potatoes were my favorite part of the meal! They were seasoned and cooked to absolute perfection. The staff was kind, attentive, and made sure we were taken care of the entire time. I would definitely recommend this spot for a fun, laid-back brunch with friends!
I've heard some good things about this place and from other fellow yelpers friends, it must be worth it. Had a dinner reservation with some girlfriends celebrating two of their birthdays. The restaurant itself isn't too big but it does a pack a nice punch. Cute patio out front that takes some of the sidewalks and streets. Plenty of heat lamps which helped with the chilly nights. We got seated at one of the tables on the patios which was nice. Didn't really utilize inside area except for the restroom which it's quite cute in there. The rooms were pretty well decorated and executed. Nice bar area too. Like mentioned, we got seated on the patio and the heat lamps were great. Down to the menus, it's quite limited on dishes. Seemed like there were more shared plates versus the entrees. Drinks, it was fairly decent with their cocktails and wine. Service at the beginning was great. The staff were amazing and very friendly. We didn't order right away as we were still waiting for the last one to show. But did start off with some drinks. It didn't take that long for the first round which was nice. Food wise, the shared plate was a mixture of everything. Some of the olives, which is exactly what it is. The Belgian fries, nice thick cut fries with shredded pecorino cheese and a nice aioli sauce. We ended up getting a second order of it. The albacore tuna crudo was a hit which was really tasty. Chili ginger relish, mint and shallot, can't go wrong with that. Lastly the meatballs, tasty and very great for sharing. Entrees, the pan seared sea bass which I loved. Portion is pretty tiny which also seemed like they were a shared plate. Almost tapas styled. Nice chimichurri sauce and a side salad. The chicken Milanese also with a side salad of arugula. Simple dish but quite tasty. One of the salads that was somewhat hyped up by the waitress but it was just a salad. Decent but nothing major to rave about...lol... also the confit oyster mushrooms was major hit. Something that simple but quite tasty. And lastly the pan con tomate, rustic sourdough with tomatoes and burrata. Tasty as well. Overall the meal was good. From there, the second round of drinks did take a long time to arrive and with then plates that we shared, trying to get someone to clear the plates was another thing. Took a long for someone to clear the table before more items came. Even when the entrees came, all the empty starter plates were still there. And if someone did clear the plates, some was still left on the table. Finishing off the night, we did have the dessert which we tried all three. As it was two of our girlfriends birthday, they brought out a little bubbly for us to celebrate with the dessert. That was quite sweet and nice. Honestly opinion with the dessert, they were just ok. Nothing major to rave about. We tried all three on the menu and they were just ok. Overall, the food was great. Service was nice and the staffs were all very friendly. It did take a while for plates to get cleared from the table and second round did take a while, but it was manageable. It was a sweet gesture with the bubbly with the dessert which was greatly appreciated. The place is nice and great for catching up. Menu is limited and portions are quite small. You would have to get a good amount for sharing. Entrees, depending on what you order is small as well. But we enjoyed ourself.
If you're looking for a great date spots or a place to meet with friends for dinner this is the place. I always enjoy the food and the atmosphere of this place. Our table was ready upon arrival and we were greeted by the friendly hosts and seated promptly. Our server was attentive, paid close attention to any table allergies and intolerances, and our waters were kept full and our plates served and cleared by the team as needed. I also have hung out at the bar here, and the bartender's have all been engaging and welcoming.. I definitely recommend if you're looking for fun spot with good food in the Pasadena area. read more
I've heard positive feedback about this old establishment and was looking forward to trying it. The ambiance felt dark and dated. The food choice was somewhat limited. There were only two salad options: one Little Gem Salad and one Chopped Salad. Neither felt herbaceous or innovative. I ended up getting the chopped salad and I did regret that decision. I don't like salami or olives. But that seemed like one that had more greens. I would appreciate a few more options like a miso kale salad or some kind of endives or arugula salad. Now the Moroccan-spiced Chicken Wings were delicious. They were super spicy but packed with flavor. The wings had great umami.The Smoky Eggplant was also a winner for me. The eggplant was flavorful and came with pita bread. The ahi-tuna was alright: not amazing but not bad. Our waitress was friendly and helpful. Because I find the menu limited and the ambiance lacking, I don't think I will be returning. read more

Brussel sprouts - not too spicy harissa sauce (tastes very cumin-y). Not overcooked. Fritters - strong minty flavor, idk that we'd order these again. Belgian fries - eh. Not a fan of the sauce that comes with them and the fries themselves are kind dry. House burger - we have gotten this many times. We usually add the fried egg. They bring this already cut in half for us to share and that's just thoughtful! It used to be that you could rely on getting medium rare if you asked for it, but a couple of times now the burger has come out overcooked. Old fashioned - needs a cherry! Otherwise strong but well balanced drink. We asked the bartender for a cherry and were provided with two. Not sure why they don't tput it in there to begin with, but it's nice to know they have them if you ask. Cute inside. Music may be a touch loud in some places. Outdoor street side patio is great w lots of shade. The hallway patio is not bad either. It's nice and bright, but I wouldn't prefer it. We have sat all over this restaurant now and all of the chairs are comfortable. Lots of 2 person tables, so not the best for larger groups, but it makes a great chill date spot. The vibe of this place is comfortable and the food is decent. It's a nice hangout spot. They take reservations, but we haven't needed one so far, even on some busy weekends when we thought we would. Make one at dinner time just to be safe, tho! read more

Came here for brunch and my main takeaway is I've never been to a restaurant that tried too hard with food that's already good? The eggs Benedict doesn't come with your typical hollandaise sauce: it's a mustard hollandaise sauce which just takes away from the taste of the eggs and ham as it's overpowered by the sauce. The ham was a thick, but not crispy so it weighed down every bite. The potatoes were topped with so much Parmesan when they're honestly delicious without it. They're perfectly crispy, but the actual potato felt a bit off. The pain perdu is just a nice French toast essentially so the name felt a little pretentious. I asked about topping it with berries or apple compote and was told berries were more popular. Wonder if the apple compote is another unnecessary reinvention? I'll probably try something else if I come back, but a brunch place overcomplicating basics is something of a red flag in my book. Definitely read over each item carefully before ordering! read more

Stopped by for a drink here with a small group, thankfully they had seating for us without having to wait. I ordered the espresso martini which they interestingly make with rum. I thought it was really well balanced and such a tasty cocktail! As someone who doesn't love rum, it worked and it didn't have a heavy rum flavor. My boyfriend got the gambler cocktail which is a really unique cocktail with shishito infused vodka, passion fruit, and a wasabi salt rim - it was really delicious if you're into uniquely flavored cocktails. Service was slow at times, seemed like our waitress disappeared for stretches of time. It took a while for us to get our second round of drinks too. read more
Magnolia House is a cute little cocktail bar on S. Lake ave in Pasadena. It was built over 100 years ago, it's been a family home, a post-Prohibition liquor store and a myriad of modern businesses. The architectural structure resembled opulence of a modern house. As you enter MH, guest will be greeted by a warm hostess. MH has a small bar at the rear end of the house in a narrow walk way. I came on a Saturday evening to grab drinks and catch-up with my lovely date. I ordered a Golden Ale with 4.5% alc. They have Happy Hour on weekdays. Drinks were fairly priced. Atmosphere and music was not too loud and relaxing, respectively. Service Staff were compliant, assiduous and professional. Finding parking in the area was easy due to plethora of public parking lots. Collectively, this bar is a good place to catch up with friends, bring a date or two and have a drink. Overall, I always have a great experience whenever I visit Magnolia. I recommend you visit this cute cocktail bar. read more
We made an OT Rez and were seated in the outdoor patio as we requested. The patio can be pretty sunny and noisy which I hadn't thought about prior. I asked if we could relocate indoors but they didn't have it available at the time. We came during a popular brunch window on a Saturday. Our server was friendly. The wait for waters and cocktails was a bit longer than I would expect at brunch but drinks were delightful. The crab cake Benedict was cooked perfectly and very flavorful. The crab cakes were packed nicely with crab. My mom and husband enjoyed their dishes as well. Overall, I'd definitely return but I would avoid the patio on a busy day when the sun is out! read more
Warm and charming setting for a perfect post race Sunday brunch. You feel like you're at a cottage, with different rooms/sections including an outdoor patio. The big window in the front opens up and the entire restaurant opens up. The service was great. Emily was the perfect host. She immediately made us feel welcomed before we even checked in and made sure we were always updated and taken care off as we were waiting for the table. The plating is at another level. All the dishes look like there were prepared for a photo shoot. The attention to detail was very noticeable. The food was as delicious as it looked. The fries were served hot and crispy. The cheeseburger had a nice thick patty, topped with melted cheese and lots of grilled onion. The french toast was was topped with a tres leche type sauce with fresh berries. We definitely will come back to the Magnolia House. read more

Great food and excellent service. Beautiful place to hang out for Christmas theme. Came here to hang out with coworkers after work . Had a great time , staffs were exceptional. Indoor seating was very cozy. Outside seating was very nice too, servers we had was amazing and always checking in on us even when it was busy . Thank you!!!! Happy hour menu was a plus !!! Wagyu steak was delicious. Fries was amazing. Chicken wings was extra crispy, love the batter they used . Definitely coming back here again . Alcohol drinks was amazing !!! There is a lot of potential with Magnolia house. The vibes and location are great- we sat outside on a beautiful summer day and it was lovely. Their brunch salad is delicious and though I didn't try anything else on their menu, the other menu items both sounded and looked just as delicious. The service, however, was incredibly slow. We waited over 30 min to have one beer and a salad brought out. It wasn't even busy. read more
I came here several times before and I believe the best meals I have had here are their brunch menu. The place is really clean, but a bit small. I suggest coming here for dates. They have a nice variety of choices from omelets, Eggs Benedict, and Avocado Toast. Our server was really nice and gave us suggestions. We ordered the Pain Perdu and Eggs Benedict. Both dishes were delicious; however, I just wish there was more cream for the Pain Perdu because it seemed to be there, but it either melted already or there is just a little bit on my dish. The potatoes with the Eggs Benedict were really crispy. Eggs Benedict itself had a really nice hollandaise sauce and thick bacon. We came here just to grab drinks. On a Saturday night. It was honestly a little underwhelming. Drinks: 3/5 The drinks were super weak. We got four drinks here: the sesame sour, the Marguerite, the marigold, and the cocktail of the moment. The black sesame sour was the most flavorful, but they definitely were not strong. The cocktail of the moment honestly tasted like soda. Service: 5/5 The service was good for a Saturday night. It was not really busy and we got seated right away. Our servers were friendly and the drinks came out pretty quick. Ambiance: 4/5 The place is quant and gives off a modern chill vibe. We sat outside in the patio area, but the seats were a little close together so we could hear the conversations of the tables around us. If we decide to come back, we'd probably choose an inside seat next time. I don't know about their food, but their drinks are definitely weak, and for a $70 bill with four drinks, I expect to be at least a little tipsy. How many times we have driven by without noticing this gem! The "Magnolia Experience" started as we walked up with a clear sign telling us we were in the right place and someone would soon seat us. That someone appeared seconds later, gave us options (it was Sat, July 4th, we were grateful to find places open, much less with options), and had us seated within a minute or two of arriving. Trinity, our server, was at our side within another minute or two, consulting with us on the house cocktail menu. Drinks chosen, we surveyed the decor, then the menu, making a few choices for a light meal. The tuna crudo and the zucchini and feta fritters were an outstanding start to the meal. We then shared a bowl of the bucatini pomodoro with its remarkable fresh tomato sauce, very unique and delicious. The meal was capped off with the hibiscus pavlova. Incredible! Such simple ingredients, such perfectly matched flavors - a perfect end to a memorable meal. Out thanks to Trinity and the kitchen staff for all that we experienced. We have already recommended it to friends and will be back! read more

We came in and didn't have a reservation so we waited by the bar. We got seated by the hostess with our drinks 30 minutes later. The first thing the waitress said to us at our table was "were you guys at the bar?" We said yes and she was said "oh I was just wondering if you guys sat on your own or by the hostess". I'm not sure why that would be the first question she asked or how she greeted us? The burgers were super salty and overcooked when we asked for medium. The fries were also nothing to be crazy about. The drinks were really good though and the ambiance was nice. Won't come back for food again. read more

This is my first time here! I really liked the interior of the place. There's street parking, but we parked where Ross was at and there's a 90min time and after 90 mins you would have to pay. I got the classic and got English muffin instead of toast. It was the right decision. For the muffins I asked for jam on the side and manager also brought out for me butter, he was super nice and the vibes of the place were wonderful. I also got sausage links, it was salty, but it was a nice balance between the entire meal. Usually, I'm really picky about how scrambled eggs are made, and they were spot on! Very nice fluffy and creamy texture! The potatoes were nice and crunchy, from previous Yelp images I saw that they must have improved on the potatoes! read more

Perfect Monday date night We were seated quickly and our server was great! It was a little dim at first but they turned on the lights outside and that helped bring more light into our space. Marigolds at Magnolia 4/5 - very refreshing Golden Hour 4/5 - tasted like a milky orange/mango juice Smoky Eggplant 3/5 - Brussels Sprouts 5/5 - DELICIOUS!! Cooked well and paired w the sauce makes it even tastier Albacore Tuna Crudo 3/5 Pan Roasted Scallops 4/5 - yummy!! Love the texture of soft scallops and crispy sunchokes. Very flavorful read more

Magnolia House is my go to for drinks and small plates. I always order the sangria and fries during happy hour. Happy hour pricing is great! The indoor decor might just be my second favorite part of this place. The lounge part toward the back of the place is so cozy (especially at night). All of the employees are friendly and happy to provide recommendations! I always bring friends and family here. Highly recommend if you want a spot with good drinks and a place to chat. read more

I'll put it this way, anything that is a "miss" at mag house is still a 4/5 stars. And there are more hits than misses. Enough said. Service on a Monday was a bit slow but as the crowd picked up, service also picked up. Expected in 2025. Most restaurants on weekdays have slow service nowadays. Nevertheless, every order was fulfilled perfectly and at a decent pace. Again, even the dishes that weren't hits, we're still pretty dang good. Their menu constantly rotates so even the dishes we got last year (i.e. Brussels sprouts) were different than this year... But it was still delicious! Cocktails are always great here. The only thing I might change is the serving sizes. They definitely could use bigger portions. I'd visit more often if I didn't have to spend so much for a decent meal. Nevertheless, I love mag house! Can't go wrong with mag house. Indoors or outdoors, every seat is great. read more

I looked at the menu online, and this place looked good, so I made a reservation. At first they sat us a small cocktail table, and I asked if the table was big enough because we were having dinner, so they re-sat us at a larger table. The place has a private club type of flair to it, and the hosts and servers were VERY nice and accommodating. But when we got our food, they were very small portions. I realized they were tapas style portions, but then why charge full entree prices? It is what it is. I ordered the scallops and expected a full entree, and out came three teeny tiny scallops. Don't get me wrong, the flavor was huge, but not for the price. This place is better for just cocktails (the sangria was nice and "healthy", if you know what I mean.) and apps, but not for full on dinner, unless you want to spend a lot on several plates just to get full. I'd come back here for cocktails and munchies, but not for dinner. We wound up getting dessert at another location. read more
Walking in, the experience felt awkward. I stood at the hostess stand waiting for assistance, but no one was there. Several servers walked past, looked me right in the face, and said nothing. Eventually, two of them stopped to seat me, but the lack of a greeting made the start feel unwelcoming. Once seated, the service was friendly but not very attentive. It took a while for someone to take our food order after initial drink orders, and servers didn't check in often, so you'll likely need to flag them down for any needs. That said, the chicken sandwich was amazing--perfectly crispy with flavorful sauce and pickles. Drinks were great, and the ambiance was enjoyable. We dined here during Sunday brunch. We were seated right away with no reservations. Other than the iced lattes, everything we ordered was delicious. Coffee tastes watered down. I really enjoyed their take on the French toast and the mushrooms inside the omelette was amazing. We weren't aware of the brunch and dinner menu hours so we felt a little rushed. We will definitely come back and try the dinner menu next time. Outdoor seatings aren't too bad. We caught the high afternoon sun but the umbrellas provided shade. This is such a cute place to dine. We wanted to get out of the house, so I booked a reservation here. The staff was friendly, patient, and helpful. We were seated on the sidewalk/patio. The hostess moved the umbrellas so we were tucked away from the sun. Though I was annoyed that the burger and fries had to be ordered separately, both were very good. Been coming here every so often over the years and their menu always seems to change a little here and there but the quality always remain consistent! Highly recommend making a reservation especially after 5pm or during the weekend. They have a patio in the front that is nice but there's not a lot of seating inside. Their servers here are usually all very attentive and will check on you once in a while. I love that they're never annoyed that my friends and I end up getting caught up in conversation before ordering. They give us new plates for dessert and our water is never empty. Kudos! If the Mac and cheese balls are on the menu, order it! If not, our usual go to includes the zucchini and feta fritters, Belgium fries and meat balls. We ordered the pan con tomate this go around and it was really good - the bread was crispy but still chewy on the inside and the tomatoes were just the perfect amount of juicy! I always get the marigolds at magnolia cocktail, it's delish! For dessert we ordered the chocolate bread pudding and the loukoumades to share. Both come with a scoop of vanilla ice cream and was a nice contrast to compare to one another. One was nutty and sweet from the honey and the other was rich and chocolatey. If you're looking for a spot to catch up with a few friends and enjoy good food, magnolia house is a great place to consider! read more
