    I recently utilized university movers for a local move (25-30 mile). They are a family owned…read morebusiness. Vicky was easy to communicate with. The day of the big move 1 of the movers called in sick causing our move to be delayed by 2 hours, however, thankfully they were able to find someone else to help instead. Tis the season for the flu so I completely understand. Our move took about 4 hours total with 3 guys. I'm very surprised and extremely grateful that all of our items got to our new home in 1 piece! I anticipated some plates, glasses to be broken due to how I packed, lol, but noooope! All good and safely unpacked. They covered our mattress and my office desk to make sure nothing got damaged. We left our previous home without any damage to the walls and the same thing at our new home. They also place all items in the specified room which made it that much easier for my husband and I to unpack. They were very careful and did a great job! Pricing is fair and there was not an up charge for moving on a weekend. Tip - pay with Zelle, Venmo or cash to avoid a CC fee. Also, be sure to tip your movers!! The tip is not included in their pricing so tip them directly with cash. This is a hard job and it is well deserved.

She asked for us to send an email with an inventory list of all our items. We did that but never heard back, didn't think much of it. The day before our scheduled moved we FaceTimed so she could see our place, she said that this was way more than we had discussed, she would need to send an extra guy and another truck. We asked if this was a job she could handle esp since she kept mentioning they had another job the day of our move. She reassured us they could do it. Come the day of the move, the guys were working hard but it was definitely taking a lot longer than we had anticipated. When it came to unloading everything at our new place. We told the movers they would not be able to park on our driveway as fresh asphalt had just been laid. Vicki called us and told us we did not give her correct information and since there was no driveway and it was going to affect them getting to their second job, she would need to send 2 more guys and our rate would now be an additional $100/hr. Not only was this not what we agreed upon, she started berating my husband for not sending over the full inventory list and withholding information. She took no ownership of her part in the situation - not reading the email in its entirety which led to poor planning and scrambling to get more resources for our move and instead chose to blame us for delaying another family's move. She ended the call by telling us to "have our conscience tell us what to do." Ultimately they did not charge us for the additional guy that was sent. Our issue is with their management and the level of unprofessionalism. The guys did damage our drywall leaving a quarter size hole and others scuffs on the walls, Vicki said she would send someone to come out and repair it. So far the guy never showed up at the appointed time, and Vicki has yet to respond to our messages. TLDR go with a bigger more reputable company even if the cost is a bit higher to save yourself the stress and frustration.
