    Lumpia

The food was great! The service was even better! Our waitress took her time answering every question we had. The ambiance was decent, but I'm sure it's extra nice on Fridays nights for karaoke with the special lighting and fun background on their little stage. I think karaoke was 8pm-11pm. We went after church on Saturday night around 6:30 and just ordered for carry out. We got the pork fried rice, seafood pansit, fried pork belly, lumpia, and Biko. My husband's favorite was the pork belly (with a nice sauce), and I liked the lumpia but LOVED the Biko.

Our first time here and they were having a party and people were doing Karaoke. We had great service and they were really nice people. I had the letchon kawali and halo halo and my daughter had the pork sinigang. We both enjoyed our food and had leftovers after because they were pretty big portions.

My first visit was a nice experience. They have a buffet on Sat & Sun from 11-3. It was cheaper than what I was going to order off menu and had the items plus many more that I wanted to try. Really nice and helpful staff. And the food was good.

The food was excellent, definitely home cooking. No crazy ingredients very simple simple. The service is awesome. Everybody there is beautiful and friendly. I felt like I was in the Philippines. Ambience is pretty simple. It's nice. It's clean even the bathrooms are clean. This is an awesome place to eat. I will come again.

First time in this new Filipino restaurant. They are going through some growing pains, being new, but I think they will get better as time goes on. Everyone else hit the nail on the head with their reviews, so I won't beat a dead horse. I highly recommend the cucumber lemonade drink (no free refills). Met the owners, Ms. Arby, Mr. Marvin and her sister Alliana. They are very nice! We'll be back!

    Tomatoes soup not Sinagang

My concern is not with the cost; rather, it pertains to my arrival in town. I had a desire for some soup. After a 45-minute wait, it arrived devoid of utensils or rice. Why not simply incorporate the cost of standard rice into the $23.99 soup? Who as a owner should want their customer to add in the food order utensils to rice. Or one napkin. It's just common sense that not all people lives in San Antonio and are using Uber eat to order food. We are charge so much in Uber eats that just one fork could be a nice jester or rice. Who eats Sinagang without rice ? The soup possesses an unpleasant flavor and is excessively greasy and lots of fat. It look disgusting. I disposed of it.The lumpia exhibits an excessive greasiness, suggesting a possible reuse of oil for frying. What is the rationale behind this? I'm glad I didn't order the double lumpia. Very salty. I'm still hungry and I can't eat this awful soup. Just wasted my time and money The only thing that was so so was a bottle of water not made by this cook

    Such a cute interior!

The food was super yummy- and made fresh! You can tell there is a lot of heart and passion in the restaurant. The service was wonderful as well, they made sure we knew what the dishes were and kept us updated on the readiness of the dishes. We will for sure be coming back!

Nothing vibrant. Veggies have been stewing in the pot for a minute.

Man, so this review is complex because the food has potential but they lack the consistency. First time I ordered, food was amazing, I ordered what I call the trinity. Lechon kawali, Shanghai lumpia, and pinakbet and something else that I forgot. Ordered Amazing, colors were fresh, pork was well done and crunchy and lumpia was lit! Spent good money this day. Second time, we came on Sunday, late-afternoon early evening, we didn't know they offered buffet services. So instead of ordering off the menu, we made a hasty decision to try the buffet. What a let down. I kept telling myself, "ahh, just try, we'll never know". I should have ordered off the menu because a lot of dishes were dried out, left empty, the sinigang pork had only soup, and the fruits offered had been out for a while. I get it, it was a slow day..too slow there were only three couples including us. Third time, should be a charm? Not quite. My dad wanted pinakbet and my mom been wanting lechon. Her style of lechon is how they do it here, cooked all the down almost like cracklings. But not today, I ordered 12pcs. of lumpia, all soggy like it has been nuked in the microwave, it's in my air fryer as we speak to crispy it up. The lechon kawali must have been from the buffet because it's been refired, meaning, dumped in oil to crispy it up but all it did was worsen the flavor and everything was still jiggling and not even crunchy. It's in the air fry next to the lumpia as well. The pinakbet had been sitting for a minute. Old color and veggies weren't vibrant like they should be when it's cooked fresh. Overall, I met the owners and they seem pretty nice but short cuts aren't the way to go. Consistency is key and I've worked in the food business to know sous chefs for getting canned for taking short cuts and I also know that one thing customers love, is consistency. Knowing they personally have a "go-to" or "my plug" is a place they know won't let them down. I know they can do better and hopefully if I come back, if ever, the quality is elevated. For now, it's back to chockdee for Filipino favorites. Sigh.

    Lumpia very very salty

Honestly disappointed in their lumpia, extremely salty and over all flavor is lacking. The texture on the inside is also mushy and gritty. I don't normally write reviews but I was very excited to try them and I even bought 12 and they are so salty that it doesn't feel edible to me even with the sauce

The food was excellent but I would have preferred a more traditional batter on the tempura shrimp.

The food was so delicious. That means they have an awesome cook! It's been a while since I had authentic Fillipino food with great spices.

As a filipino, I love sweet longanisa but I prefer the sausage wrapped ones because I like a bit of char on it. I didn't love their pancit, but loved their garlic rice. We also tried their kwek kwek (fried quail eggs) and it was tasty and love that it came with suka (vinegar sauce). I asked for a sweet chili sauce as well. There's a few streetfood items here that's hard to get elsewhere in San Antonio, like bulaklak. I was tempted to try even though it's pretty unhealthy. They're crispy, fried pork tissue fat and usually have a nice chewy texture. My favorite thing that we ordered was the pork sisig. It came out on a sizzling plate. I just wish it had more mayo and garnishes on it. Mostly just pork flavor. Our waiter was nice and the freshly made juice was amazing. We got a huge glass of fresh watermelon juice and calamansi lemonade. The restaurant itself seems like a venue for parties too, since they have a small karaoke stage. They also connect to a small grocery store with several Filipino staples. I was able to pick up Datu Puti vinegar and some Boy Bawang cornick! I'd come back if I was closer in the area or if i'm really craving a Filipino dish that I can't already make at home.
