Then came the build process, in which we were fortunate enough to work with Steve Costa who not only juggled a third-floor walk-up, a building from the late 1800s, but also an extremely pregnant woman who was keen on getting this project off the ground and completed as quickly as possible. Steve led a fantastic group of NKB employees and subcontractors, but I would be remiss to not give a special shoutout to John and Mike who were our dream team carpenters, kitchen décor experts, and mental support during the project. Invited them to give us a quote for our bathroom remodel, along with a couple others. One was just a salesman, and didn't know the ADA codes or Plumbing Codes. Another only wanted to do the shower and none of the other work. Manny and Paul know the codes. They inspected our bath and basement. They told us what exactly what would happen. No 'hidden' problems, no surprise 'extras'. Manny and Paul do the work. No subcontractors to deal with. (Their was an electrician, they scheduled him.) We are happy with their work and our new shower. If you have Ageing in Place concerns, or a handicapped loved one or concerns, these are the guys to talk to. They can walk you thru what needs to be done and all the options you have to update your bathroom. If you are on the South Shore or South Coast you owe it to yourself to, at least, talk to Manny and Paul before you start your bathroom project.

I needed to have the roof replaced on the estate house within 30 days for insurance purposes. I contacted Vaz Construction and was connected with Elijah DeSouzs as my project manger. He was the best. Kept in touch with me on a timely basis, always on time for on-site appointments, knowledgeable about the roof products and friendly and kind. We were able to get the job done within my time frame. The roofing crew worked from morning until night and they were great! They left no mess or debri in the yard. If you need any construction work done, call Vaz and ask for Elijah. You won't be sorry.

What started off seeming like a good company, ended up not being so good. One guy would be there for three days and then someone new would show up and have no clue what the last guy did. One of the employees painted the bathroom walls without even wiping the walls down after sanding. What a mess and it had to all be redone, which I am sure would not have happened if I did not complain. At one point, I had to tell the project manager that I did not want anyone in my home until I met with him. The lack of craftsmanship, and integrity was upsetting to say the least. Who puts kitchen cabinets in before painting??? Once the job was complete, it took Vaz Construction another month to come back and finish the things that were not completed. Overall the experience was very disappointing, even more-so with the amount of money they charged us for their sub par work.

I know excellent service when I experience it. This review is for the exceptional service I received when using Atlantic Marble & Granite, in Falmouth. We were doing a very needed remolding of our kitchen after over 35 years of use. During the remodel, I contacted three countertop companies and visited each one of them. From the three quotes, I received the best price from Atlantic. Not only did I get follow up with them on their quote, one of the companies never followed up with us at all. That made my decision easier. We met with a very lovely person at Atlantic, Bella, short for Izabella, and she was amazing from the start. She was knowledgeable and very patient as she helped us pick out the perfect color. We gave her all of the measurements and she took it from there. Within just a short time, they were out doing a template and a week later, the counter was ready to be installed. Unfortunately, because of issues with our cabinet makers, they had to hold it for 3 weeks. No problem they said. When the time came, they came out installing our new quartz counter. They were very courteous and professional. I was amazed the counter fit like a glove, especially where it had a jog in it and they were able manufacture it with no seam. We were very happy and the new counter looks amazing. If you ever need any type of marble, granite, quartz work, I would strongly advise you to check them out. I'm sure you will not be disappointed. Maria was extremely helpful and patient with me as I struggled to make up my mind. She was careful not to overwhelm me with too many choices and even suggested a slab which was in stock which saved us some time & money. I really appreciated the template process they used. I was able to see what the counter flow would look like before they cut the slab. Most importantly, they removed the old countertop on installation day! Crew did an excellent job with the installation. It looks even better than we had hoped. We're very pleased!
