My bestie had never been to this salon so we got there promptly for our 10am mani/pedi date and we never got seated in our pedicure massage chair until 1045. I was honestly so mad because if I knew they were running behind and was overbooked, we could've grabbed breakfast and not rushed. What was the point of making an appointment? There was another 2 ladies waiting for their 10am appointments too and we smiled and talked story but waiting that long was just ridiculous. We were not walk-ins. I love their salon so much so hopefully it was just an off day/morning but it turned me off. Then to add to it, they kept pressuring us to get gel nails. I hate when they keep pressuring you and you have to kindly turn them down let alone more than once. Our nails look great but I might go back to Escape nails the next time. Hate to say it but it's true.

Im accustomed to having someone use an emery board/dremel then wrapping the finger in foil with an acetone-soaked cotton ball. She must have been in a hurry because she just used the dremel the whole time to try to remove my dip manicure. When she was removing the old manicure on my index finger, the friction of the dremel created enough heat to burn and I pulled my finger away and said "ouch, that's hot." She apologized, but this continued to happen to multiple nails. NOT COOL! To make matters worse, her use of the dremel created dents and uneven surfaces on my nails so when she put the polish on, it looked awful. She then blamed me for going to a salon that did not apply the polish correctly. Totally unprofessional, considering my normal manicurist has always done a perfect job and has never hurt me when removing polish. I didn't bother asking her to fix it, as I did not trust her anymore. I only went to her because I couldn't get a last minute appointment with my usual salon. I Will never go back to My.

I don't really like writing bad reviews but this experience was so bad that I feel like I should…read moreshare it. I went in to get my gel x nails removed 2 months ago. I'm writing this review now because I'm still experiencing the effects of getting my nails done here. I went in just wanting to get my gel x extensions removed and to do a simple gel nail polish on my natural nail. The tech wrapped my gel x nails in foil with acetone like how they're supposed to but instead of waiting for the acetone to actually soak off the gel x she kept unwrapping them and drilling them off then wrapping them back up again. She drilled my nails so much to remove the gel x that my natural nails got extremely thin and damaged. Then she told me that she was going to put on a coat of some kind of polish to make it "very strong". I had no idea how badly they were damaged so I just agreed. After polishing my nails they looked pretty good. However, the next day my nails started breaking after doing normal everyday tasks and I realized my real nails were pretty much paper thin under the polish. It was so bad that they were breaking and getting snagged on clothes, my hair and other things and then they would tear off. It hurt and I was scared that they were going to get caught and really rip on something so I called the salon and went in to get the nails that were torn fixed. The tech that fixed them did add an even stronger extension to a few of my nails but it's been 2 months and my nails have continued to break everytime they start growing out and I've even had blood under my nails a few times. My thumb nails are torn all the way down to my finger bed where it starts to feel sensitive. This was the worst experience I've ever had at a nail salon. My nails are only half way grown out since then so they're going to continue to break until the new, stronger nail grows out completely which will probably be another 2 months. I feel like a professional nail tech would know not to rush removing gel x or acrylic and to actually let it soak off instead of being impatient and trying to just drill the heck out of it or else the nail will be damaged. Extremely unprofessional.

It was nice to have the place to myself in the late afternoon and someone arrived shortly after me. They close at 7 pm if you're needing some self care after pau hana time. The lady that gave me the Service Menu recommended Gel so it would last longer so I opted for the Lavish Pedi and wanted French Tip for my Mani and Pedi. While she worked on my pedi, someone else did my mani. These ladies work so hard and give you the best care! I must add EVERYTHING they used smelled sooo heavenly!! I soaked my feet in the fizzy rose soak and she sprinkled what looked like flower petals! The Massage chair was perfect while I got treated hand and feet! The place is clean and comfortable with high quality chairs and equipment. They asked me what I wanted to drink and I wanted a mimosa but they ran out of champagne so I just got a water which was totally fine but there's soda, tea, and alcoholic beverages. I never wanted it to end because the hand and feet massage was AMAZING!! For my pedi, she did a sea salt scrub which I believe she said had green tea and aloe vera. Then a paraffin wax seal with a foot massage with Hot Stones!! She also did a foot cream massage to finish. My hands, arms, legs and feet haven't felt this good in a long time!! Not to mention the ladies genuinely calling me "beautiful" and wishing me a great event tomorrow. These ladies are definitely beautiful inside and out. It was on the pricier side, $110 for my pedi and $58 for my mani but I don't really treat myself to this and I have a special event so why not. Everyone deserves self care sometimes. I think because my elderly Mother was there asking to come in that's why we were able to come inside. The service was great and we were both happy with our pedicures and other service. I felt their prices were decent with the cost of goods now days. The only thing I wasn't impressed with was when the person was done with the pedicure he just got up and walked away and at that time I was done since another employee came to assist me to the counter to pay. I did enjoy the employees not talking to each other in a different language since you don't know if they may be talking about a customer.

I love this family owned business (Bella, mom and dad). I've been going to this salon for over a year and I can't recommend them enough. I work with my hands constantly and use them heavily every day, so I'm usually prone to early lifting or chipping. Not with these! The quality and durability are unmatched--not a single lift, crack, or issue after four full weeks. The effect is stunning and has caught so many compliments.
