Tuna and salmon rolls that are supposed to be the "spicy" versions of both.

Finally thought to get takeout from here. Maybe it was the threat of no parking available in canal that kept me from it. Who knows. Anyway, gave them a go during quarantine. I was pleasantly surprised that they'd opened up the giant windows and made it a takeout window, had sterilized pens- the works. Really a touch that showed they thought about their customers and their safety. Now, as for the food. We ordered the fusion roll, and spicy rolls of: tuna, salmon and yellowtail. Fusion roll was fine but was supposed to be topped in what was a missing sauce. And the spicy rolls- barely any "spicy" and why wasn't it chopped up? I'm not a fan when it's prepped like that. We also got the Japanese spring rolls which were supposed to be filled with shrimp and a lot of veggies- maybe? Shrimp was present but there was little in the way of veg. On the other hand, there was a delightfully crunchy wrapper, and it came with duck sauce with a nice little spice to it. All in all decent, well-priced, I'll order again but maybe I'll specify prepping requests.

My favorite local spot for sushi and drinks. Came here a few months ago and enjoyed it and then last night as well. I decided this time around to have their maki dinner, which came with three of their maki sushis. All three were absolutely amazing. Particularly the California Maki, which contained tuna and a spicy mayo sauce. Because I am allergic to soy I had their salad instead of their soup, so I had a larger salad. Their garden salad came with their ginger sauce, which had the right amount of spice. It came with tons of carrots, cucumbers, and lettuce. I did everything but lick the bowl as I was eating it. I would come back just for the salad! I know some of the reviews below mention poor customer service, but I did not experience that when I came when it was crowded and then when there was just five people in the restaurant (including us). This time the waitress was extremely nice and understanding about my soy allergy, constantly refilled our waters, and was there to check on us! Definitely will continue to come back here when I get another sushi craving!

This is definitely a popular place to go to if you're looking for cheap, strong drinks and asian fusion food. The drinks usually range from 6-7 dollars, but well made. I do have to agree about the mai tais, way too strong and syrupy but if that's something you're looking for than by all means. Just that one drink will do it for most people for the rest of the night if you can manage to gulp it down! Recommend apps: Salmon avocado ball Crab Rangoons We ordered the chicken teriyaki as well which surprisingly was really good, the teriyaki sauce was the perfect amount of thickness, not the usual soy sauce consistency and the chicken was really moist and tender. Food I have to say is pretty good for its price, although most people go here to pregame and snack, most food tastes better when your buzzed or drunk anyways. Summary: All in all, pretty chill casual hangout pregame spot Pros: Good for groups Cheap drinks and food

Mai thai is a better sushi restaurant compare to kenichi bistro, sake bomb bistro. Their big cut sashimi fish makes me returning again and again, and they wont charge you for extra sauce. They open late too. Their cocktail drinks is great!

Some of the best sushi I've had! Highly recommend it to any sushi lovers out there looking for a new joint with late-night schedules!

And we interacted with neighboring tables on both sides to recommend (when asked) the oysters, and when one received a drink with a big smoke bubble that created a magical flow of smoke when it burst. French inspired drinks and food were fantastic and interesting. The French 75 menu was so interesting-- choose your flavor and your bubbles. I tried two, the classic with rosé was so pretty, and the honey lavender with base level champagne was delicious. The raw oysters were to die for! Perfect little pop of acidity with other flavors delicately added and perfectly balanced. The oysters Rockefeller were also perfectly delicious. The foie gras is not something I would normally eat, but my boyfriend loves that stuff so we went with it. I enjoyed it more than he did. It was not a classic foie gras, it was smoother with a creamier texture and more buttery flavor. Eating it with the fig jam and "light as clouds" toast made it absolutely delicious! I enjoyed every minute and mouthful--would definitely seek this place out again even though I live an hour away! We enjoyed ourselves too much to take pictures!

We arrived just after our friends who advised they had already ordered their drinks. Our waitress arrived promptly and took our drink order and then vanished. No drinks for quite some time. A manager came over to ask if anybody had visited us, apologized for the delay, and returned with our drinks. I'm estimating it was a bit over 30 minutes or so before drinks arrived. Our waitress did return, apologized and took our food order. I wasn't so sure about ordering sushi, but glad we did. The maki we tried were very good, fresh and beautifully presented. A great start. We switched gears for our entree and went with a parpadelle bolognese. A nice generous portion that was as good as some of the Italian spots in the area. Our friends also enjoyed their dishes. Portions were generous and prices were reasonable. I would easily have given 4 stars, but the service needs improvement. You would need to plan to spend at least a couple of hours for a lunch. In our case it was not a big deal as we were enjoying time with friends, but I can understand the other negative reviews now. We do plan to return to work our way deeper into the menu, and hope they will have more staff to help with the front of the house.

This wasn't our first visit to this place; we had visited once before and sat on the patio (during…read morewinter, so it was sealed up like a cozy igloo). Knowing the drill, we were prepared to valet the car, which is definitely a downside since it slows down the whole getting-in-and-out process. We made our way to the host stand and were greeted warmly. We asked for seating for three (husband, wife, and child) and were led to a table along the outside of the bar. It was a great window seat but definitely on the louder side. Not an issue for us, but if you're bringing someone who's hard of hearing or just doesn't like noise, consider this a heads-up. Our waitress came over to take our drink order immediately, and we placed our food order shortly after. We started with the Brussels sprouts appetizer. I ordered the Poke Bowl, my husband went for the Mac & Cheese, and our son ordered the same from the kids' menu. Drinks took a while to arrive. When the appetizer came, I noticed my utensils were sticky and asked for a new set. This took wayyyyy longer than it should have. She literally went and gathered some drinks from the bar and delivered them before getting me the utensils. The appetizer was tasty but lacked the sriracha kick we expected from the description (though I honestly preferred them this way). Our meals arrived, and I noticed mine was very small but delicious. My husband's dish was missing the chicken and prosciutto and was really dry. Our son's dish had chicken on the side (a good idea) because he didn't like the pasta, calling it "dry and weird" (his words). My husband asked for a side of cheese and the missing chicken and prosciutto. He only got the chicken and cheese (at this point, we let the prosciutto go). We ordered a second round of drinks but should have ordered them as soon as the first round arrived because the meal was pretty much done by the time we got the second round. In the end, we skipped dessert and paid the check. The lackluster personality of our waitress didn't help things. We handed in the valet tag with payment (as instructed) and still waited over 10 minutes for our car by the time we got to the parking lot. Overall, this place has promise but still needs some work before it can capitalize on the summer traffic. If they can't figure it out, I fear it won't last like many of their predecessors. Fingers crossed for them because I do think they can be wonderful!
