Most of the appetizers are very good, especially the chicken satay and salmon spring rolls. Our go-to dishes are the drunken noodles, Thai basil fried rice, and hot&sour soup with shrimp. The only downside is the spice level. We ordered a 4 out of 5 expecting it to be pretty hot, but it was lacking in spice. If you like spicy food, you may want to ask for extra heat. The meal portions are generous. The atmosphere is very homey and cozy, especially during the colder months with the fireplace going. They're also very dog-friendly--we once brought our dog to sit outside, and they brought him his own water bowl. read more

This is my go to Thai spot. And I have several favorites on the menu. But tonight I ordered something new to me the Korean salad. We ordered thru DoorDash and I wanted to add a tiny salad dressing side of their amazing peanut house dressing. So I called and asked. They wanted to charge me an extra $4 plus tax! A $23 salad and they can't throw in a small extra dressing? Strike one. So I left the dressing as is. The salad came. It was supposed to be on spring greens. But there were huge chunks of ice burg lettuce (gross) and a little bit of green.Lots of meat but SUPER salty. The ginger vinaigrette dressing was mediocre at best, no ginger taste at all. Did not cut the saltiness of the meat at all. Strike two. The wantons were soggy and unappetizing. There were barely any peanuts. And absolutely none of the noodles that are described on the menu. So no noodles, cheap lettuce, and not even a free extra dressing. There goes $23 down the drain cuz I could barely eat it. What a disappointment. Strike 3! I'll maybe go back for the tofu Tom Yum. But I'll just stick with that. Their salads are a big NO. And really when your repeat customer is paying $$$$$ for a salad is it that crucial you ask for $4 for a tiny side dressing? Five of us ordered: Spring rolls, Tom Kha soup, yellow curry chicken, pad Thai and beef Jasmine fried rice. We could barely finish it all. We shared a Mango sweet rice dessert. Good thing the spice levels were not annoyingly hot. We ate our fill and even had plenty to take home. I'm glad I finally tried Pacific Thai, after eleven years of coming to Pacific Grove. It was rather mild in flavor but I can still taste the soy sauce. It contains eggs. Salmon spring rolls: I also found it rather plain and I wish it was more flavorful. It came with sweet and sour sauce and peanut sauce. Mango sticky rice: The rice and sauce are very sweet, it was fine. They gave us a soup as well, which tasted like a sweet curry (I am sorry I am not more knowledgeable about Thai food to identify this specifically). We went here this morning for lunch and it was so good! We were in the area visiting and really wanted Thai food. We got a Thai tea, green curry with chicken, drunken noodles with chicken, and mango sticky rice. It's super good and portion size is great we took home leftovers and the price is fair for everything we paid $67 for two people. Parking was easy down the street for free and the ladies were SO nice and I love the incense and authenticity of the place, cute decor etc. def will come here again next time we visit the area. read more

I had the chicken satay and papaya salad, really enjoyed the peanut sauce that came with the satay and appreciated that we could customize the papaya salad to make it spicy. We walked to Pacific Thai last night and it was honestly some of the best Thai food I've ever had. I'm a huge Thai food person and used to order it weekly when I lived in LA, and this absolutely held up to the best of it. The restaurant itself is adorable and in such a great spot on the street. We sat outside with our dog, and the staff never forgot about us--they were attentive, kind, and checked on us often. The food came out super fast and every dish was absolutely delicious. I'm a local to Pacific Grove and overlooked this restaurant until now. I never believed that Monterey county in general had great Asian food. However we were looking for a local place for dinner and drove by, then decided to give it a shot. From the moment we walked in, the decor inside the restaurant immediately caught my eye and established a very cozy ambiance. Everything was beautiful and they have a wine cellar as well with a good selection on their wine menu. The hostesses and waitresses were the kindest and sweetest young ladies ever! All smiles and nothing by friendliness exuberated from them as soon as we walked in. We ordered the Panang Curry and the Pineapple Salmon Curry with sides of white and brown rice. We were there early for dinner so were the only table, the food came out very quickly which was great. Presentation was impressive and just created a overall nice dinner in a beautiful restaurant. We happened park for a business close by and were hungry so decided to try this place on a whim. We were the first table seated shortly after 5pm on a Monday. We started off with a green tea, which came in a pot to share. My guy ordered the pad thai with beef and I had the red curry mixed vegetables with tofu. The food came out quickly and we were both very happy with what we ordered. Finding a good pad thai has been an issue for us, but would order this again especially with the beef. We had such a great experience at Pacific Thai Cuisine in Pacific Grove! We ordered the Crispy Duck, Chicken Teriyaki, and Tom Yum Soup, and every dish was spot on. The duck was perfectly crispy and flavorful without being greasy, the chicken teriyaki was super tender and came with a delicious sauce, and the Tom Yum had just the right balance of spice and citrusy tang--so comforting and bold. This is a cute place on Lighthouse Avenue in Pacific Grove and they have a lot of indoor and outdoor dining. We ordered the pad thai, green papaya salad, and veggie spring rolls. The pad thai was pretty good though they used what looked like spaghetti noodles and not the wider ones. It didn't have the same kind of flavor that I'm used to but was good, and probably if I hadn't had an expectation but just thought it was noodles with veggies, I would have enjoyed it more. Really yummy!!! Loved the drunken noodles the most. The flavor was good and a big portion. Sticky ribs were yummy when we took off the sauce. We could tell it was stewing in a yummy broth/sauce only for them to add American style BBQ sauce on it which was too tangy and threw it off. Was looking for a quick spot to grab takeout and found Pacific Thai on Yelp. We were able to order over the phone for a speedy pick up! We got the pad see ew with beef and the salmon curry. I had never had salmon curry before, so I was intrigued. It was really good, but the salmon was a little over done. The curry itself had great flavor and even a little kick! The noodles in the pad see ew were tasty, but the beef was a little on the chewy side. I think overall the pad see ew dish could have used a little more flavor and I'm used to having a little more broccoli. It was very carrot heavy. Food was packaged well for take out but we didn't receive any sort of condiments with our order so be sure to ask if you need something. Overall, I would recommend this place for an easy takeout meal if you are visiting in the area, but I wouldn't say this is the best Thai food I've ever had.
