I would stop by a place close to here and would always smell the aroma of the food and that's what caught my attention. Finally ordered what's shown and it was all really good. [[HIGHLIGHT]]Inside was nice, clean, and provided comfortable seating.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] The hostess was nice even with my online order & it's worth noting how many times they have been voted the best on the island. Only thing I would say is the spicy is not spicing, I got level 4 and it didn't taste like anything was on it HOWEVER - we all have different spice levels so take this with a grain of salt :)

Pretty decent food but nothing like some reviews claiming it to be the best Thai restaurant in Washington. I definitely agree that the food tastes great but it comes with lots of oil. I really loved the chowmein. One of the best tasting chowmein I ever had. But on the other hand fried rice was pretty average. All starters were tasty but oily. I really liked the panang curry though. Service and Ambience were both good.

The food was good and the service was good. The only thing is it took a long time to get our food. Over 30 min for fried rice and drunken noodles. The dining area wasn't super busy, but maybe they had a lot of pick up orders? It kinda felt like our orders got lost for awhile. You order and pay first and they bring it out to you.

Beef 16. Pho Soup level 4 spice

My husband and I tried this place for the first time and we were blown away! We started with the crab rangoons and steamed pot stickers, and both were delicious. For our main dishes, I had the yellow curry (light spice) and my husband ordered the beef pho with level 4 spice. Everything tasted absolutely amazing easily a 10/10 across the board. We're originally from California and have tried plenty of Thai food spots, but this place completely exceeded our expectations. The service was just as great as the food. The lovely woman who helped us gave excellent recommendations, was so friendly, and really made us feel welcome as first-time guests. [[HIGHLIGHT]]The restaurant itself was very clean and had a cozy, comfortable atmosphere to enjoy our meal.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] We left happy, full, and already planning our next visit (probably next week!). Highly recommend this spot to anyone who loves authentic, flavorful Thai food.

Came in about 4 in the afternoon. It was super quiet and only 1 other customer. The front counter lady was super nice and directed us to sit anywhere we like. [[HIGHLIGHT]]The restaurant is super clean and well kept up. The bathroom is pretty clean as well.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] The food was great! If I were to critique anything it'd be the spicy levels. 5 happens to be the top hotness, and it was much. Thankfully they have hot sauce on the tables. If you want some good Thai at a decent price, come check it out!!!

We were looking for pho and decided to try Mai Thai. While the pho wasn't the same as authentic Vietnamese pho, it still had a really good flavor. We also ordered yellow curry, spring rolls, crab rangoons & steamed dumplings. Everything was really good. We'll definitely go back!

Pad see ew noodles with chicken, no mushrooms, add carrots, and some spring rolls. Absolutely DELICIOUS!

We spent the day on Whidbey Island and wanted to find a great spot for lunch. We settled on Mai Thai and I am so glad we did! Our food was hot, delicious, the portions were huge, and the prices are fantastic! [[HIGHLIGHT]]The employees were incredibly friendly and the restaurant was clean and looked nice and new.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] I would give this place 10 stars if I could. I had the pad see ew noodles with chicken and some spring rolls. Both of them were absolutely delicious!

Delicious food. 5 stars. Service at counter was just ok. Walked in and she said "don't know what you are having?" We literally just walked in. No "hi welcome in, how are you? Have you been in before " ... nope. Do you know what you're having. Fortunately- the food was amazing and we will be back. We ordered basil fried rice wonton soup and pad Thai

Bummer!!!! We placed a take out order. Food: Pad Thai with Chicken We ordered Egg Plant Basil but got Beef Broccoli instead. When we walked in the restaurant it was empty. Looks like a pretty good size restaurant. Service was ok. Nothing stood out other than walking around the counter to give us our food. Unfortunately, when it was time for our pot luck and we opened our dish, it was Beef Broccoli instead of what we asked for when we called, Basil Eggplant. We were so disappointed. We enjoyed the Pad Thai but the Beef Broccoli was not good. I'd return again and this time if I order take out, I'll make sure to get the right dish.

Such a hidden gem on Whidbey Island! Not only is everyone super nice here, but the food is good as well. You order at the front and sit anywhere there is room available. If you take it to go, you can walk and look around the antiques shop across the street while you wait for your food. ..... GLASS NOODLE: 4/5 was expecting thicker glass noodles, but none the less the flavoring is really good. Also the ratio of noodles to vegetables could be increased. THAI COFFEE: 5/5 strong and creamy coffee with the perfect hint of sweetness

The bun was incredibly fresh, light, and pillowy, while the pork belly was melt-in-your-mouth tender with the perfect balance of richness and tang from the kimchi. The pickled vegetables added a bright crunch that tasted incredibly fresh. We started with the salmon tartare, and it was phenomenal! Rich, buttery, bursting with flavor, and so good we were literally fighting over the last bite. And the scallop? Order one for each person. Seriously. It's far too delicious to share. It had just the right amount of heat, leaving the perfect lingering warmth that immediately made us want another. Do yourself a favor and give yourself enough time to work your way through the menu, because every dish we tried was outstanding. Each plate was thoughtfully curated, beautifully executed, and cooked to perfection. I like to call it the C³ trifecta: curated, created, and cooked. Without question, this is some of the best food we've had in a very long time. We can't wait to come back (when visiting) and continue eating our way through the rest of the menu.

Outside may look very basic but indoors has comfy seats and an open feel. Recommend the Udon Bowl--try it at spice level 1 even if you normally opt for 0 spiciness (it's a sweet-spicy) and choose bulgogi beef if you like a smoky leaner meat or the pork belly if you're craving more of a rich fattiness. Me and a group of friends (8 total) were visiting the Olympic peninsula for a camping/backpacking weekend and stopped by Midtown on a busy Friday night and were quickly seated. The food tasted good and we had great service during our visit. Since we were a large group, and already had shared expenses for the weekend, when asked about the check we offered to put everything on one tab to save time. Later on that night however, after we had set up our tents at our campground, my partner began to experience intense stomach pains which turned into full blown food poisoning. I spent the next several hours helping them, before I also got sick. It was at this point we realized that it was from the chicken sandwich my partner had ordered at Midtown, since I had eaten her last remaining bites of the sandwich and this was the only food we shared that other members of our group had not also eaten (we all shared food at lunch earlier in the day). My partner and I essentially spent the night in the campground bathroom (we are extremely lucky they had one). The next morning we were feeling depleted, dehydrated, and decided to head home to recover while the rest of the group continued on the trip. We spent the rest of the weekend trying to get food down. I called Midtown the next business day and let them know what happened for their awareness mostly. They thanked me and told me their policy is a full refund if something like this happens and that the group should expect it soon. We didn't hear from them or get notification of a refund so we reached out a week later and they said they forgot and now the owner would only provide a refund for me and my partner's meals and that they never offered a full refund. They said since we had "12 people" on the ticket they wouldn't do it (our tab for 8 people was $186 before tax and tip) but if we had a doctor's note that could change things. I promised them we weren't making it all up and that I've never gotten food poisoning from a restaurant or even left a bad review before! Tired of the gas lighting I decided it wasn't worth arguing and let them know this will have to be my first. It's a shame their management is unprofessional because our experience in the restaurant with the food and staff was nice.

So we decided to scope it out, and once we got inside we were blown away! The employee at the counter said they only have one coffee (iced Vietnamese) but lots of good mocktails and beverages in the cooler. Friendly and honest! We peeped the cooler and it was full of super interesting drinks. And indeed, the mocktail menu was great. Zests and tonics and coolers and sparklers. Next to the cooler is a small retail area with an eclectic and very smart selection of curated goods, including: chili crisp; tinned fish; griddle pans; handmade Easter fudge; books about auras and autism and edibles and pizza; ultra soft scarves; Rap Snacks ramen; and lunar phase art pieces. But even more impressive than all of that is the food. Among our group of cousins etc, we ordered both banh mi sandwiches, the meatloaf sandwich, the bulgogi cheesesteak sandwich, the banh mi fries, and the chicken pho. Plus the Vietnamese iced coffee and one cocktail (Sunset Spritz). Without exception, they were delicious! My favorite was the meatloaf sandwich, which came on perfectly-griddled pillowy sourdough, and had a great balance of sweet-tangy masaman glaze, mayo, and kimchee pimento cheese. Probably the best meatloaf sandwich I've ever had, in a little corner cafe in Freeland, WA!
