As a fitness instructor and powerlifting enthusiast, the six days a week of working with clients started to catch up to me. As of 2016 I started getting massages bi-monthly. So naturally when I heard of a grand opening I booked an appointment with Mai Tai. The affable young lady working the front desk set me up in a room with the coolest Eastern Asian decor. Mai, the owner of the establishment, was my masseuse and she was extraordinarily adept. I've experienced massages all over the world and never had someone so versatile. It was a pacifying experience. Mai Thai Spa in Wellsley, Ma is AMAZING. This is my second time going for a facial. Mai is the owner and Esthetician. She customizes her facials for each client. Her knowledge, experience, technique and integrity are incredibly refreshing and life changing. I have yet to purchase a product but have seen visible results from samples that Mai gave me and receiving the 2 facials. I suffer with hyper-pimentation and scarring from cystic acne while also attempting to age gracefully at 37. Mai has experience treating all those. issues plus many more. I got to enjoy an hour massage here and had an amazing time. When you walk in you already feel relaxed because of the aesthetic and smell. The area is very clean and tastefully decorated. I felt very welcomed by the warm, friendly staff. The receptionist was very nice, answered my questions well and set me up for the massage. My massage therapist was so knowledgeable, reassured if I was comfortable throughout the massage, and did an overall outstanding job, she really went above and beyond and gave me a massage like no other. The Mai Thai massage is amazing and so worth the price, getting a combination of Thai (deliberate stretching), Swedish deep tissue, and hot stone and relaxation techniques using essential oils. Hai (the owner) is extremely passionate about her work and it shows. The spa itself is clean and contemporary. The other masseuse on staff, Christina, does such a crazy amazing job. Hai's dedication to this industry/her customers and Christina's trigger-point massage keeps me coming back every week to help rehabilitate my lower back issues. Got a 90 minutes massage and loved it! The place is SO beautiful and very clean just walking in there I felt relaxed already. Mai was very nice and professional, she asked for my problem area and really paid attention to it and gave it just the pressure I enjoyed it so much I almost fell asleep. I love how modern the place is, you'll see a really nice waiting area with books and infused water for you then a really cool looking front desk with fireplace and the wall decor that makes you feel like you're in a French garden. Being a first time mother and NEVER once in my life had a massage, I went to Mai Thai Spa and got a couples massage with my husband. We both walked out the door saying we will be back NEXT WEEKEND!! I had a hour massage, and it was honestly the best massage I've ever had! The atmosphere is just so relaxing and everything is peaceful from the time you walk in to the time you leave. I just got a massage here with Mai and what sticks out is the array of techniques that are used, i.e. hot stone, hot towel, oil with lavender, etc. all in one massage. Mai is possibly the most attentive massage therapist I have ever had, always asking if the pressure was too much or too little, and adjusting to meet me where I was at that day. Went here last week on a whim. Everything was very nice, by the time I was in the massage room I felt in my own little world. I got the Thai massage which was amazing. I highly recommend the Mai Thai Spa. My massage therapist Mina was trained in traditional Thai massage and really helped my lower back pain. The atmosphere is relaxing and the rooms are nice down to the details of flower petals on the massage tables. Enjoy!!! read more
