We booked a Uhaul at Crystal Alkaline Waters and when we arrived the owner said he gave it away. So we saw this place also did Uhauls and had one available - customer service was great! The woman working the front was sweet and greeted us when we walked in. I think she was the owner. She was doing a DHL shipment for a customer in front of us that was taking a while, but the owner kept acknowledging us and explained the international shipping takes a bit longer than regular shipping. My son dropped off a package for me (with a dress inside) for a return that was delivered by Amazon. He said the blonde older woman took the package, scanned it, typed it in and said "OK" he asked "is that it" she said "yes ok" he left thinking it was taken care of. So after noticing my return wasn't being completed, we realized he went to the wrong mailbox center! I went in to ask the woman about the mistaken drop off! She said "nothing is here" she didn't bother to look around to search or offer ANY EXPLANATION!! It was dropped there -so it's there somewhere or other coworkers took it? I firmly asked her are you sure it's not somewhere here -she semi looked in one mail bag -just shook her head "nope nothing in here"! I then called her & asked her if she could look at store video from @10 days ago if I gave her the exact date..she said "I am NOT going to do that" then I told her "OK"and she hung up on me. I came in to ship a package to Oahu. I frequently ship to Hawaii and typically pay $20-$25 at the post office. This shop is closer to home, so I figured I'd support a local business. They quoted me $56 to ship -- more than double what I usually pay. When I asked why, I was told it was just because the package was going to Hawaii. The package was already packed, taped, and labeled, so it couldn't have been to cover materials or any "extensive" labor to do those things. I mentioned my typical costs and I wasn't provided any more explanation. I went to the post office instead -- and sure enough, it shipped for $22. I don't mind paying a few dollars more to support small business, but a $30+ markup is crazy. It comes across as either dishonest or completely out of touch with actual rates. Recently went in to get a document notarized. The notary did not properly verify my document name and my ID before notarizing my document. I now have to resubmit my document and pay for another notary. If she did not see the discrepancy before stamping and signing that is concerning and if she did notice and ignored it in order to get paid that is even more concerning. I stopped here two days before Christmas to deliver a FedEx package overnight and it was a very good experience. The young woman working at the counter was helpful and efficient. They had everything I needed and even let me use some tape for my box. There are a lot of negative reviews by cheapskates that don't want to pay one dollar for the convenience of dropping off a package here as opposed to waiting in line at the US post office. I have been their mailbox customer for almost 15 years. The previous owner was always nice and good at the job. After the new owner took over, they just make mistakes after mistakes; the worst part is, they won't even admit to their fault. -We picked up our mail and package today, we noticed the package belong to another mailbox after we got home. I called them to inform them, Lori said it must have been the temp worker on Saturday made the mistake. I told her it was actually picked up today, she said not possible. -Couple of hours later, Lori called and said we didn't pay our mailbox. I said we pre-paid in Jan already. She said bring receipt or credit card bill. We brought credit card bill to show her. Then they said it was ran by a employee that was fired, so they won't "validate" our payment. She said she was closing our box today and called police after my husband asking them "are you closing my box without my consent?" After the police came, they tried to accuse my husband of threaten them (which he didn't, there should be cameras in their store) When my husband got in to the car to leave. The guy owner came to the car, continuing criticized my husband in many personal ways, screaming at my husband, and kept telling my husband to go to the back with him. Lori and the guy owner are both emotionally unstable. Check out the reviews for post arena on Milliken, they are owned by this same guy/family. You will see from other reviews how they use the same tactics to verbally abuse other customers. The guy also verbally attacked and made false accusations of those customers, just like what he did to my husband. I've rented a box from here for over 10 years and service was decent. However with the change in ownership it seems that the new owners are more focused on convenience for themselves and their staff instead of on their customers. Twice now their store has been closed on a weekday without notice and without any signage at the store. The first time a few months ago I even called, left a message, and asked to be informed - but no return call. I went today on Fri, Dec 31 to get my mail and the store was closed, even though USPS considers today a normal mail day for the the Post Office and delivery. As a result, I cannot pickup my mail which includes customer checks that I intended to deposit before the new year - now those checks have to be reported in the new year and cannot be claimed as revenue now. New ownership is more worried about renting out U-Hauls then offering great customer service to current mailbox clients like the previous owners did. First time coming into this place ever. I had an envelope to mail that needed a stamp. So I figured I would purchase a stamp and buy a book since I was there. I used this mail center last week and it was the worst service!!! And they completely ripped me off. I will never return to this store. I mailed a medium sized priority mail package to my daughter who attends West Point, the United States Military Academy. I have mailed her many packages over 3 and 1/2 years. The person charged me $19.95 to ship a medium sized priority mail box and said it was that price because they are a convenience store. He refused to give me a tracking number and had me just write down the number found on the box to track it that way. When my daughter received the package she had to pay for the postage because it was shipped COD. After I already paid almost $20. I was completely robbed!! I currently have two mail boxes at this address. Earlier this year I had customers receive checks back as undeliverable. These folks blamed the post office for the returns. At Christmas a client mailed me a prime rib. 4 days after receiving it I get a call that I have a package. I have had others tell me they mailed something that I never received. I now believe them 100% because today, May 4th, 2015 I received an invitation postmarked 12/31/12. That is not a typo. In addition I received a 1099 postmarked 1/31/15 today, 5/4/15. The employee laughed when she told me found it at the bottom of a drawer, "just today," as if it was funny. This place is a joke! I am forced to stay for the moment due to costs of changing letterhead, checks, finding a new place and notifying customers and vendors. IF they share in that cost I would make the decision to leave tomorrow. Further to address Monica D complaint... I was actually shipping a package to Oregon for Mother's day today. While the clerk was typing up the shipping information is when I discovered the missing mail. I had her cancel the parcel shipment of $30. I shopped around for a small mail box and the ups store was more than three times expensive and they wouldn't even let me get a small box because I'm a business owner and some of my mail could possibly have my business name and they would return it if I didn't get the larger box. I went to mail 2 small letters to my grandchildren. I was floored when the clerk told me it would cost me $3.61 for each letter. I asked if there was something cheaper i could do. I was told no. I went to the usps the next day and mailed my two letters for 61 cents a piece. My friend went to mail center to mail 8 pieces of paper. and was told it would cost $30.00...Only When she asked if there was a cheaper way was she told she could mail it for $14.00.
