Several years ago I broke the crystal on my Skagan watch which I bought as a souvenir from Denmark. I checked around and ended up going to a watch repair firm in the area. There I was told it would cost more than $100 to ship the watch to Skagan in Denmark and they offered to put a clear plastic crystal on it for $40-$50 because they had no way to get a new crystal. I decided to go ahead and have them put the crystal on the watch. Several months later the plastic crystal just popped out and I stuck the watch in my bureau drawer figuring it was useless. A few days ago, I was going through my bureau "hoarding" drawer and thought I'd google to see if I could possibly find someone who could fix my watch. I found this site, Mail-in Watch Repair, and the owner contacted me within five minutes after I emailed him with my question. He gave me an initial estimate and said he felt he could fix the watch and that he would check on the crystal. Within just a day or so, he emailed me back and told me he had found the crystal for the watch, gave me a completed estimate, and advised me that it would take a few days to get the watch back. Today, I picked up my Skagan watch and it looks like new with a brand new glass crystal. It was a leap of faith to send my Omega Seamaster watch to Mail-In Watch Repair. I read reviews, some were mixed. I filled out the online information, and explained what I wanted, soon after I submitted the owner (Igor) called me and convinced me that he was the real thing (certified by Omega). Excellent experience. Sent my Omega seamaster professional watch in for repair and 5 year service. I was amazed at the service I received. They sent me a padded box and mailer. Dropped it at post office. Had it back in 2 weeks. They keep you updated with photos of all the repairs. They gave me an estimate and did exactly what they said. My watch runs and looks like it did when first purchased. I will use them for my Rolex as well. Mr. Polosky is a true watch maker. He is cw21 certified as well as Omega certified. I did my homework. I am very pleased with the service and repair that I received from Mr. Polotsky on my Omega watch. I sent it in to get the bracelet link repaired, a new battery and a tune up. The bracelet required a special order on the parts, which came in quickly. I received multiple updates via email and personal phone calls from Mr. Polotsky explaining the status which I greatly appreciated. This service was outstanding and I highly recommend this company. The overall process only took a couple weeks which was a lot better then last time I needed service I was without my watch for 3 months! My experience with this company is beyond a 10/10. I purchased a used Omega Seamaster Professional from eBay several years ago. Igor and the team kept me informed all along the way. I will tell you I was concerned with mailing my RADO to an unknown party to replace the chipped crystal and do general maintenance after 21 years of use. They made me feel comfortable by sending me emails to tell me the parts were order, then received the parts, and finally the watch would be mailed to me on Tuesday. I received it via US Mail today (Friday) and the watch looks almost new. They also returned the replaced part as well. I love my RADO and I think of it as an heirloom. Sent in my 21 year Rado that I wear every day - it came back looking like it did when I bought it! The personal service was awesome from start to finish. I received a call from the owner several times within minutes of calling or emailing. I had researched several other companies in addition to MIWR - it took days to hear back from them and their pricing wasn't as good nor was the warranty. I sent in the information regarding my watches via email that needed service on a Sunday and received a phone call from Mr. Polotsky within a half hour!!! They paid for shipping both ways, have a 2 yr warranty on their work, and did the repairs in the time frame that was quoted to me. After wasting a lot of time trying to find an authorized Rado repair facility I took a chance with this on-line service. I sent a 15 year-old Rado that suddenly stopped working, and Mr. Polotsky brought it back to life. He also cleaned it up nicely so that it looks as good as new.
