Had to go get a live scan and I'm glad I came here. The lady was so nice and even helped me figure a place to eat for lunch.

This place is SO sketchy! They charged me $2 to drop off my DHL envelope. I would have gone somewhere else, but I was in a rush, and it was for work, so I just billed the $2 to the office. :P Now when I need to send something via DHL, I go to the Post Net in the shopping center off Prospect and Saratoga. Overpriced, rude staff. Few months ago I paid almost 5x the cost for a bubble envelope, noticed later that there was a price tag on it for half the price I paid. Shady... Not learning my lesson, came in to drop of a pre-paid FedEx package for pickup, they charge a "service fee" of a dollar. Low star reviews are accurate. read more

Their voicemail says they close at 6pm M-F Yelp says they close at 6 and the sign outside of their door also says they close at 6pm M-F . Got there at 5:40 on a Thursday and they are closed. No sign indicating that they closed early or anything. read more

Stay away!! I would never go to this place for anything. Especially if it is FedEx related. I should have seen the reviews on yelp before even going there. I went to drop off a packet just because the Fedex site pointed this location as the nearest location. The lady at the place was extremely rude, she even said "People just come here and drop-off their packages". For crying out loud...you run a mail station people are supposed to drop off packages at mail stations. She further mentioned that there will be a 'service fees' next time. I specifically called FedEx customer care to check if she could charge me a "service fees" on top of a pre-paid FedEx return label just for dropping off. FedEx categorically stated no fees can be charged. Let's see if they will do something about it. For all I know this location may even "misplace" packages which don't pay them a "fees". In hindsight I would trust a FedEx drop-off box more than this location. Never again. If they are trying to cheat for this basic service then I very much agree they must be overcharging and cheating for other services and products too. Very bad experience...super-greedy lady with bad business ethic here tries everything to squeeze extra money out of customers. Don't believe the mailing price she tells you. And don't use notary service here! She'll try to make up some bs reasons to charge $10 on every single page, instead of $10 on one set of document. If you complain, she'll yell at you "Go! Try other stores! It'll be the same!". In fact, it's not. Use other notary/mail service. Anywhere will be much better cheaper and far less annoying. read more

I came to Mail Station to get a visa application photograph taken with very specific size requirements, and was pleased with the level of service that I received. It was my 6th stop of the day trying to get this photo taken and printed, and was the only place that could give me what I needed. Would highly recommend to those with custom photo needs! Came here for Livescan since it was closest to my house. The only sketchy thing is that when I asked if there was a surcharge for using a credit card to pay, the man said no. Later I see on my receipt that he charged me $0.50 more. I didn't get a chance to inquire about the $0.50 charge since I was in a rush. I also later found out the live scan here is a little more expensive than other places at $74 (others as cheap as $68). Overall, experience was okay; I just hope everything falls through. read more

Ridiculously over priced for stamps, stamp is at 47 cents yet the lady charged me 85 cents per stamp. If she is already overcharging on something so small, then I don't even want to bother coming here for any other services. read more

I was completely oblivious of the time when I arrived there at 6:02pm, a couple minutes after they close and I happen to cross path with a kind lady who just locked the store. I use this place because it's walking distance from my apartment. The woman who's normally there when I go in is usually friendly, though kind of abrasive. I did notice it's a little pricier than most places. Also, one time I sent something out and it was returned to me so I'm not sure what that was about. On another occasion, I sent a package to someone as a surprise and he had no idea who it was from because my name wasn't on the package, but other things I've sent have had my name on them. That's weird. I probably won't go here anymore though. read more

The mail station is located at an accessible point to me and so I derive my use many a time from this place. However, it is a place where almost anything related to notary, courier, passport photographs, scan & print - a very convenient all in one place for making all my paperwork labor easier. Suggestion: Upgrade your computer system - users would be happier with a faster system. read more

I am a regular customer for the Mial Station for last 15 years and I never ever had any bad experience. I don't understand why some people compare the little shop price with post office and write bad reviews. If you go to post office you have to stand in line for 15 to 20 minutes, and you have to drive 10-15 miles more (what is the GAS price today) if this store charge 0.01 cents more than a post office then why it is unfair? Do get the same price of the food (coffee, Banana and Apple) at a small store in a remote area vs. Safe Way? Come-on be fair. This store only charges $20 for live scan fingerprinting, the additional charges are set by the Department of Justis and FBI. You need to understand this store charges $51 $71 that includes FBI and DOJ fees, the store owner has to pay these fees to DOJ and FBI to get your fingerprint processed. Please be fair and don't compare this store price with a big chain. Why do you go CostCo vs SafeWay? Why don't you complain to SafeWay for charging more than CostCo. read more

Such an attitude this woman has got.. Starts off with a smile but so much arrogance. I went for notary and wanted a prepaid airbill from UPS. As the notary charges were freaking $10 per sign i decided not to get that service, i mentioned it was expensive for me for which immdtly she said" you guys dont bargain with the passport services but say this charge is high, i pay so much rent for this place, you need to travel far for lesser charge notary and blah blah... i kept calm i was not in an arguing mood as i was with my child. Then i ask for prepaid UPS airbill she immdtly asked me" are you taking my notary service???" I said no , then she said " then i am sorry i cant give the prepaid bill". I said Thank you and just walked out... Yes this was close to my place so i went., but i rather travel a few more miles and not to face such people with minimum or no decency. read more

I have maintained a mailbox here for over ten years and am very satisfied with the service. I wonder if the person complaining about stamp prices is aware that the Post Office does not provide a discount on them so private mail stations naturally mark them up. I was away for two years but kept my box and continued to receive some of my mail there. They were very good about throwing away the junk mail and forwarding me the important items at a nominal fee. Yes you may pay a little more here than going to a Post Office, obviously they are selling convenience - just like you pay more for groceries at a "convenience" store like 7-eleven compared to Safeway or other chain stores. read more

Worst Notary in the world...charge 8.99 for 2 passport size photos. I was in a hurry, and had pictures of my baby done. Turns out that she charged my amex $13.11...when i enquired, she said that for baby pictures, they charge $3 more?? Lisa and Raj are some of the nicest people I have met many times I have used their postal services getting stuff sent to England, my passport photos and renewal paperwork sent they are both very knowledgeable patient and helpful.. Its great to have someone there during business hours to receive packages for me and Its alway fun to see a note in my mailbox that I have a package so for all you super online shoppers its ideal... I brought a small FedEx box there to be shipped, asked the lady if she could help me tape up the box. All I needed is 1 ft of tape and she wants to charge me $1 for it. I walked out and dropped the package at a nearby FedEx office where they did it for free. read more

Went in to get my kids Canadian citizenship photos. These are not easy to take as the specifications are very particular. The kind lady knew these would be hard to take, especially for kids. She took her time and re-did the photos until we got them just right, without charging me extra for the wasted photo paper. She was extremely patient, took her time and did it right. She has all the specifications for foreign countries to verify you are taking the correct measurements. (Note: citizenship photos have different dimensions than the passport photos) I will return.
