    Sandwich and strip combo
    Mark F.

Strong option for Nashville Hot Chicken in an increasingly crowded market. Howlin Rays is still the gold standard for me but in Long Beach, unless you want a chain that is just okay, you are looking at a handful of spots worth spending your money at. The combo deals are a pretty good value and I got the one with the sandwich and chicken strip. First off, as far as standard fries goes, I think the crinkle cut is best. Yes the seasoned curly fries are hard to beat but again for standard fries, the crinkle holds in all the seasoning so it its one of my faves and so I loved having these fries which were well seasoned. The chicken was well cooked with good crunch on the outside and tender chicken inside. The medium was pretty spicy so I can't imagine what the hot is like. We can handle pretty spicy foods as a family but this was pretty strong so buyer beware. I was glad I got the sandwich becauss the bun and slaw helped cut that heat a little. I do wish this food hall had more than 2 restaurants open and hopefully other restaurants will come in as tenants because that would help this area but I like the food hall style set up using shipping containers and the open seating area. I hope this place survives because all in all pretty satisfied with this spot if we can't make the trek to DTLA for Howlin.

Love this place! It's our favorite hot chicken place so far. We have came here multiple times and it never disappoints. Usually it's the same staff working and they are always so nice and fast. The food always comes out hot and fresh. They have an outdoor seating area that is shared with another restaurant. Definitely recommend!

Make sure to check online orders. They were missing 2 items and couldn't give me a refund. Only option was to drive hella far to pickup the items. Very annoying for something that was definitely their fault. Two $7 items too from a $165 order. Food was still good but spicier than the last time, so sometimes they're inconsistent

I ordered on-line for pick-up. Location was easy to get to and there was easy parking. Everything was packed up, ready to go. There are cute shared benches if you want to eat there. Chicken was mild spicy. It was delicious. It wasn't super greasy and fries were salty, spicy and crunchy - just the way I like them. I had the 3 Tender Combo which was plenty of food for me. I gave my son, a tender. Overall, super yummy chicken restaurant!

They are already known for their yummy fried chicken! I picked up the order for to go this time and the staff provided very quick service. The shop is small but very efficient. Outdoor common seating area is available in front of the store. I ordered: 1. Combo 1: 2 chicken burgers and fries

Came across this place while meeting with a coworker close by and ended up eating here since the place we originally wanted to eat at was not open yet. We ordered the medium spicy chicken sandwich which still had quite a kick to it. The ingredients on the sandwich were fresh and matched well with the fried chicken. The fries were also nice but I wish it would have had less seasoning on it. The place itself is nice and offers plenty of seating at a nicely covered patio. Verdict: 4 stars for very reasonably priced food and fast and friendly service. I'II be back! Enjoy and Bon Appetit.

Main Chick Hot Chicken is one of the better hot chicken places in LA County. After the over-saturation of many hot chicken joints in the last few years, this one stands out from the bunch. The cuts of chicken are fair and meaty and have such a nice crunch when you bite into them. I ordered two sliders and they were both so damn good! I'm already thinking about coming back and having them again. The fries are also very good. They give you a generous portion and they are crispy and seasoned to perfection. It is a great deal of food that will more than likely leave you satisfied. The wait times are not too bad either. Only about ten minutes before my food was ready. I loved every last bite :) I asked the cashier about their wall of fame and she told me that to earn a place on it, I would have to eat one of their chicken items at the spiciest level. I let her know next time I come eat here, I'm going to be on that wall. Mark my words.

Easy parking, outdoor seating. So many chicken sandwich spots popping up. Add this one to the list of the good ones :) Chicken had good flavor, good texture, sandwich bread soft & fresh. Mc sauce is tasty, extra $ for hot honey (optional). Seasoned fries crispy, not soggy, the way we like it! Mac and cheese was not as creamy as I like, but still good . Chill vibes.

From the moment you walk in, the vibe is warm, cute, and incredibly welcoming -- the kind of spot that instantly feels like your place. The drinks are on point. I've tried the iced coffee and the matcha, and both were excellent -- not overly sweet, not watered down, just really well done. But what truly won me over? The breakfast sandwiches. I had a croissant sandwich with sausage, egg, and cheese, and it was chef's kiss -- fresh, high-quality ingredients, generous portions, and packed with flavor. Not a single corner cut. And the service? Amazing. The staff is attentive, friendly, and genuinely makes you feel taken care of. That kind of hospitality is rare and it absolutely elevates the whole experience. This is officially my new coffee spot, hands down. Whether you're stopping in for a quick coffee or sitting down for a full breakfast, do yourself a favor and check this place out. Walking in the ambiance was regular typical cafe. The customer service was traditionally basic. I ordered for 4ppl and when I arrived home I noticed my order was partially wrong. I ordered 2 bacon avocado toast, 1 avocado toast and a grilled cheese. They forgot the bacon on one of the avocado toast. And 2 of the 4 drinks weren't full. As I mentioned it was about a 20 minute drive so I just took the loss. The taste of the food was ok for 2 of the ppl other 2 ppl one being myself was kind turned off with the missing bacon and half full drinks so I basically trashed my meal. I ordered the pulled ham sandwich, and even though it sounds simple, the flavor and combination of everything, especially with the yuca fries, was really impressive. The spicy sauce they give on the side is also really good and ties everything together. My partner got the green chicken pasta (I can't remember the name), and that was just as delicious. Definitely something I'd order again. We also tried the arroz con leche coffee, which was amazing. I'll probably try it with caffeine next time since we came closer to closing for dinner. The space is ambient and spacious, and the staff were friendly and helpful when explaining the menu, which makes a big difference when you're not sure what to get. They also have free parking outside, it's handicap accessible, and there are restrooms available. One thing to note--it's a cashless place, so make sure to bring a card. Heard about Dilly's Sandwiches having the most unique rotating set of beers on tap in Long Beach,…read moreso had to come to try it. The taste portions were very reasonably priced, allowing to create your own flight (or two). Specifically scheduled an early afternoon to come to the Lakewood Village neighborhood of East Long Beach. My wife found an angled parking spot right in front. It wasn't too crowded inside and the four of us found easy, comfortable seating in the brightly decorated dining room. One places and pays for the order at the counter, with the proprietors being very friendly and engaged. They brought out our beers after the pour, and the sandwiches a bit after (since each is individually carefully made). Beers: - Northern Lager [Oxbow] - ($5 for 13oz pour) was clean, crisp and a hoppy aftertaste. - Infinite Hotel [The Wayfinder X Bierstadt] (marked as $3 but charged $4) is a rice lager and was the favorite of the group for its drinkability - Winteruption [JK's Farmhouse] ($3) is a cider with very strong maple syrup overtones: never tasted anything like it. - Hyper Paradise [Rare Barrel] ($4) - saison and ale with mango and passion fruit. I liked this beer very much. - A Place Like Home [Pure Project] ($3) - Nitro poured Extra Special Bitter. - Double Negative [Grimm] ($4) - Imperial Stout, which I really enjoyed. - Amongst Friends [Sante Adairius] ($4) - a cherry saison, unusual and was glad to sample. A lot of work was put into creating this flight, with the careful pours and markings to make sure I knew what was what. I really appreciated the opportunity to sample all of these on-tap. In terms of the food, the group as a whole really liked them, though I guess I wasn't as impressed with my two samples, mainly because it used non-descript deli meat in OK quantities, heating them up when necessary. Hot Beef ($18) was my wife's, and it had been griddled with cheese to form a crispy lattice. The Ham and Cheese ($16) was served cold and had potato chips inside which my mother-in-law liked (saving the other half for home). Our friend and I split the Hot Turkey ($16) and Pastrami No 19 style ($20). The pastrami meat was piled high and the cole slaw was crisp and good, but was served cold (should have read the description more closely) and mediocre rye bread broke apart quickly. The Hot Turkey ($16) was served on ciabatta that had been grill pressed for a long time, creating a wonderful crust as good as any sandwich I've had. But the filling was OK, using standard turkey breast slices from a loaf and an ok stuffing...using hand carved turkey would have made a big difference here, but understand it's hard to do. Strangely, even though it's a pickle adorned shop, each sandwich just came with an ordinary pickle spear, what one would expect from a diner, not a deli. And the prices are on the higher side, especially with no sides and most not being particularly ginormous. But I loved how each sandwich used different breads, and how some of them were toasted very well. And having the opportunity to try these unique beers made it a really good experience.

After a quick perusal, I thought the Peruvian Steak sandwich best whet my appetite. Peruvian Steak sandwich- Spicy aji amarillo marinated steak with Oaxacan cheese, herb aioli, red onions, tomatoes, shredded romaine on a toasted potato roll. I quite liked this. Tender steak, with fatty cheese. The vegetables provided contrast & texture. For my purchase, I went with a side of Southern Potato Salad. It was good, but similar to grocery deli potato salad. In hindsight, I should've purchased avocado added to my Peruvian Steak sandwich. Service was excellent. All hands were on deck, as Mendocino Farms opened only a few days prior. Recently stopped by Beach City Deli & BBQ after seeing recommendations online and decided to order…read morethe Big Kahuna. Honestly, one of the best sandwiches I've had in a long time. The pineapple added to what's basically a Cuban style sandwich sounds different at first, but it works perfectly. The balance of sweet, savory, crispy, and smoky was spot on. Everything tasted super fresh and the bread held everything together perfectly without getting soggy. My original plan was to eat half and save the rest for later... yeah, that didn't happen. Ended up finishing the whole thing because it was that good. Service was friendly, food came out quick, and the whole spot had a really chill local vibe. Definitely a hidden gem if you're in the area. Highly recommend this place and I'll for sure be back to try more off the menu.

BIRTHDAY MONTH=BIRTHDAY COUPONS=HAPPY RODNEY…read more Free 8 inch cold sandwich for VIP members (6 Way Italian not included) Big Bucky (choice of 3 meats) 6 way Italian is my usual go-to, so it's unfortunate the sandwich is no longer included in the birthday month promo. But, I understand. That particular sandwich is loaded with 6 kinds of meat. The contingency sandwich became the Big Bucky, w/ the choice of 3 meats. Soppressata, mortadella, bacon, extra onions, pickles & tomatoes. A satisfying, filling sub sandwich that made for a pleasurable lunch. A nominal wait, the meat were freshly sliced, and assembling the sandwich with plump & crisp vegetables, it was worth every minute of delay. The cashier was friendly & a pleasure to deal with, too.
