What a gem this wine and cheese bar truly is. I don't live in Long Beach, but thankfully the drive is less than 20 minutes and even if it were longer I would happily make it. It's located in Bixby Knolls, surrounded by coffee shops, restaurants, bars and breweries, yet it's the only true wine bar right there. Honestly, Long Beach has more wine bars than most surrounding areas, and since the South Bay is packed with breweries, if you're tired of beer this is your sign to switch it up. You will not regret it. The food menu has cheese boards, salads and sandwiches, and everything I've had here has been delicious. The cheese boards are better than sex. There is seating indoors and outdoors. It's minimal, but somehow we always manage to find a table. The service is consistently great and the owner is wonderful. She will be leaving soon and she will absolutely be missed, but what she has built here will definitely be cherished. The new owners fell in love with the place, so you can expect it to be well taken care of and to remain just as charming. Parking is street only, so read the signs carefully so you don't end up with a ticket. If you go on a Sunday there are no restrictions or time limits, which makes it even better. read more

Was looking for a place that was cool and casual for my dad's birthday since he doesn't like big fancy stuff. My partner found this place and it was such a good find. It's a great spot for you to come with some friends and grab a charcuterie board since it's what they are mostly known for. They have a wide variety of items do you can make your own board which is really cool. We all ended up getting sandwiches on our visit but they were really really good. We were told some of the dressings are made in house. The bread and ingredients all tasted nice and fresh. I got the handys smoked salame Sammie and it was so good I could get another. Wasn't busy and we sat inside (outdoor seating as well). The Groupon was for a five cheese flight and 2 glasses of wine or 2 beers (we chose wine). Everything was amazing! Saw a groupon and decided to give it a try. 5 cheese flight with 2 glasses of wine. What a delightful surprise. All the fixings we chose were absolutely delicious and supported local vendors. Majority of the stuff they served you could buy a jar of and take home. Burning beak pepper jelly, castelvetrano olive, roasted tomatoes and garlic in olive oil were all incredible. I was actually impressed with the amount given. This made a perfect shareable for 3 of us. Not full, but definately a great appetizer to share. We enjoyed the weather in their outdoor patio seating. My friend brought me here for a belated birthday dinner. I have been wanting to try this place for a while and was happy that she agreed. You walk in and it's so eclectic decorated. A lot of the pieces on their wall gave me flashbacks to my grandmother's house. We sat and we brought a menu right away. I ordered the wedge salad and a flatbread. My friend is a picky eater so she got the grilled cheese. The wedge salad was so good. I could not stop eating it. My plan was to eat half the salad and half the flatbread, but I ended up eating the whole salad. I did have a piece of my flatbread, but ended up bringing it home and air frying it later as a snack. My friend who is a very picky eater loved the grilled cheese. She said she was a little afraid at first, but the bread the way it was grilled was just perfect. I don't drink so I had one of their nonalcoholic spritzer's, which was really really good. I've very much appreciate restaurants offering more nonalcoholic options for those of us who don't drink. I will definitely be back again probably with somebody that is not so picky about cheese, so I can try some of their charcuterie options. read more

We had the red dragon cheddar, Bru XL Aged Gouda from the Netherlands, and my old time favorite, Humboldt fog cheese; a soft-ripened goat cheese from California's Cypress Grove Cheese (usually year-around). I went to The Vintage for happy hour with a friend. I had previously attended one of their wine and cheese classes and was excited to explore more of their food offerings. My friend and I shared the Warm Goat Cheese and Date Spread--absolutely delicious! We each ordered our own Triple SSS Pinsa Flatbread because the description sounded amazing, and it did not disappoint. Unfortunatley, I didn't capture a picture of it because we ate it way too fast! We also shared a bottle of Los Bocheros Red Blend, a wine from South America. Since my friend is a member of The Vintage club, we received a 10% discount on our food, and because it was Wine Wednesday, the bottle was discounted by 35%. I definitely recommend checking it out on Wednesdays for great wine deals! I also ordered a cheesecake to go, which was also 10% off. The shop is small with limited indoor seating, but there are some tables and chairs on a small patio. There is usually plenty of free parking available on Atlantic and the side streets. However, since there are many restaurants in the area, you may need to park and walk a short distance to The Vintage, especially on busy weekend nights. read more

I have been begging to eat here for over a year and my regular weekly lunch companion finally made it happen. The manager was just opening up when we dropped in on a Friday at noon. A lovely glass of Prosecco immediately grabbed my attention and it was the perfect start for one of my favorite lunches in the past year. I ordered the "Frenchie" for my meal and it was the best ham sandwich I have had in forever. It features rosemary ham with Brie, cultured butter and lavender strawberry jam on toasted baguette. My friend ordered the Caprese sandwich on toasted ciabatta. We exchanged sandwich halves and I couldn't decide which I liked better. The ambiance is chill and happy and inviting. The service was impeccable and so well informed. If it wasn't 22 miles from home I would have that ham sandwich for lunch every day. read more

The waiter with hot pink hair helping us was super helpful and friendly, making this spot even more enjoyable. While this spot is a little expensive, I enjoyed the 3 cheese platter and sandwich (the figgy pig) that I got. The 3 cheese platter comes with your choice of 3 cheeses, two accompaniments (I got cornichons and marinated tomatoes), and your choice of crackers or a baguette (I chose a mix of both). I can't remember the name of all the cheeses but the cheddar with mustard seed was delicious and I'd recommend trying it. We got seated right away & ordered a wine flight each with a caprese sandwich & burrata board to share. The server was nice & provided good service. He put a wine flight of his choice together for us which included a mixture of old world & new world wines. Server poured a generous amount per each glass & it went well with the food. The ciabatta bread was nicely toasted & warm to taste & the burrata in the sandwich blended well! The burrata board was good! I love that their menu had a huge selection of different bites to choose from as well as their wine selection. I also noticed that they sell all kinds of cheeses you can purchase to take home.
