Kids loved it! We went on a Monday when the kids were off school and almost had the place to ourselves. We paid for an hour of bowing and shoe rental for 5 people it cost around $50. The bowling alleys were really nice and kid friendly with the option to add bumpers per child. Lots of lighter bowling balls perfect for kids. They had a wall of tvs and music playing. At the bowling alley they also have wait staff that brings food and drinks. We ordered food with the play cards. The food wasn't anything special but the kids enjoyed it. Then we went off to play games. They have a nice variety of options for everyone to choose from. Then you end the day at the prize counter. They had a nice selection of items. We hosted a company team building event at this location and it was great. The food was good, service was great and the games were a lot of fun. I held back one star because the team could have helped us more with passing out drink tickets and helping to communicate when the food was ready, where to eat, etc. But overall a really fun evening! read more

And $10 a person to do laser tag, the obstacle course, laser tag, bowling but shoes are extra. Small things to complain about. Once in you need to register for each of activities. We only had to wait 30 mins each. While we played games etc. but if you're pressed for time this could be an issue. Food wise it took a little long. Not sure why. But kids kept busy playing games while wife and I had a drink. Again food came and tasted great. But if you were pressed for time. This could be a big deal. That said. We had a pretty good, fun time. I felt like a kid again playing all of these silly ticket games that obviously didn't reward us tickets but was fun to play. It was a 40 minute drive for us. So glad Cleveland has a local attraction like this to visit! Hubby and I decided to go for a date night and had so much fun. We decided to purchase the 22$ all day wrist band which gave us the option to do billiards,gravity ropes,bowling and laser tag. The gravity ropes was my favorite attraction even though I'm a scary cat my hubby did the whole course and the zip line too. The laser tag arena was the biggest I have ever seen with two floors for all the action. I also purchased a game card for the arcade. They had every game you could think of to play. We also had a sweet treat of gelato which was really tasty. All the staff was really nice and helpful. I plan to have my sons birthday party here in the future. I came to main event with a party of 20 on a Wednesday afternoon and the manager (or whoever was manning the counter and the bowling area) made sure we felt unwelcome from the moment we walked in. She was rude, condescending, made us wait a long time for a bowling lane (when they were many available), promised lanes next to each other and then denied it, harassed us about food under a stroller (which we hadn't even touched) and much more. Save yourself much aggravation and go to Dave and Buster's or Fun 'n Stuff instead. read more

For some reason, the kid loves the Stay Puft Marshmallow person from Ghostbusters. There was a giant plush one in the oversized claw machine. After many unsuccessful attempts (and our son's heart nearly broken by the mocking cruelty of the Claw), we went to the prize redemption area and asked if they had any of the plush Mallow people we could buy with tickets. No dice. But Peggy the manager wanted to make our son's day, so she went to the claw machine, retrieved the plush, and gave it to him. Main Event: highly recommended. read more

This was our first visit to MEA, and our expectations were exceeded! My daughter and I attended a friend's 18th birthday party there (she, and many of the attendees were 'special needs'), and everyone was so kind and professional! Our hostess was very helpful, and tended to our every need while we were sitting down in the birthday tables area, and in guiding the kids to play laser tag (many for the first time). The pizza was excellent as well (we expected cardboard tasting low quality pizza like you would find at other games places), with an airy, puffy crust and quality ingredients. The video and other arcade games were fun, and it seems you get more for your money than other similar places. Even my at times fussy teenager, who initially thought she would be bored and dislike this kind of place, walked out smiling and happy! We will return! read more

This place is super fun. I love the fact that you can order food and drinks to your table and pay for it all right there while enjoying some bowling. I LOVE the colored lights and ambiance of the whole bowling experience. 2 downsides: when doing the unlimited bowling, it seems as if you have to tell the front desk to reset you after every hour and both times I've been here they moved us to a different lane. When you have coats, keys, shoes, purses, food, drinks, etc. that's just no fun. I'm sure it doesn't happen every time, but once I'm in the groove of bowling I'd rather stay at the same lane. We came all the way from Akron area for a work appreciation party. We had a room booked. They served chips, stuff to make nachos, burgers, dogs, salad & wings. All was delicious. Brought a 10 year old boy to Main Event today because I don't know what 10 year old boys like. Had lunch in the restaurant area. Our server was super nice. Paid 37.90 for a kids chicken finger meal, an adult burger and an adult chicken sandwich. Edible but absolutely not good enough that I'd come back for these items. So the 10 year old is pumped to play laser tag. I buy the $19.95 Play All Day pass. Wristband on. Laser tag is closed, it's broken. To play video games you need to pay to load a separate card. The 10 year old is going to do gravity ropes but is understandably not psyched for bowling or billiards. Babysitting fail. This kid is bored. I pretty much have no reason to come back. read more

Think Disney prices without character. While the building and facilities were clean, new and pleasing to the eye..the prices were sky high. Their customer service was odd. We asked the waitress for a straw, and she says nothing and just starts talking into a radio. At the very least, "I'll be happy to get you one, unfortunately we don't carry them," would have been sufficient. Guess you're paying for the flair and not the fun. When my child went to play their first game, I was looking at it in amazement, thinking, "there's no way this miserable game is $1.75 per play?" So a game card is pretty much spent after just a few minutes. Then you go to the prize redemption room and they won't even let you buy up. So say the child has 119 tickets and wants an item that's 120 tickets, you can't pay for the difference. A feature Chuck-E-Cheese's and Dave & Busters all do. So heck yeah, I've experienced better. There's nothing worse than having waited 20 minutes for a child to pick out their crappy dollar store prize to be denied and have to start the process all over. Almost wanted to flick $5 at the clerk and say just look the other way as we grab this craptastic toy and leave to never return. Sure, they have some cool, fun attractions, if you're on an NBA salary, or NFL player signing bonus. Otherwise, save your time and money. If you're a business owner reading this and want to know how to improve it's fairly self explanatory. Invest in your front line employees. Empower them to deliver superior service. Look at every review, if they all have a central theme (re: prices too high) maybe it's time to look at price point comparative to entertainment in the market. read more

For the most part, I enjoyed this place. My group and I (5 of us) got the all you can play thing, which is about $25/person, and it consists of laser tag, bowling, billiards, and the obstacle course. I could have sworn they had more than that like mini golf and escape rooms, as an example, but apparently that's at others and not this location. I'm sure this place gets extraordinarily crowded on Friday and Saturday nights, but we went on a Sunday and it was actually a pretty light crowd. The arcade setup is like Dave and Busters, with a limited number of games -- you pay to play to get points in order to get something from the limited selection store they have, which consists mostly of candy. $38 gave you about 230 credits to play with. The drinks and food were OK, but it is essentially bar food. Service was OK across the board; some felt like they didn't know how to do their job, were giving it less of an effort, or could have been their first day and you wouldn't have known the difference. read more

Waited to be seated with a text message (which is fine) but no waitress took drink order, took food order or even came to our table for 30 minutes. We had 3 kids and so went to the bar to place our order. One table behind us just got up and left without paying because the waitress was no where to he found and they got sick of waiting for a waitress to come to give them the bill. The only reason I'm not giving Main Event a 1 star is because of the exceptional employee, Nani from the Winners Circle. She was very outgoing and was very helpful in helping me select prizes: She even knew the items that would add up to my remaining points so I could get the most from them. I expressed my issues and she sympathized and apologized which I could tell was meaningful. When I arrived around 11:00PM with a group of friends I used the self service machine to load money on to cards for each of us to play. I had a few games that did nothing reward me properly including the picture attached. This by itself wasn't a big deal because I get machines don't always work properly. However, when my friends and I decided to purchase tickets for laser tag, the associate at the front counter (Noah) was very disinterested and not at all friendly. We purchased our tickets and proceeded to the laser tag arena. This was a lot of fun and the employee working it was great. We played a few more games then decided we wanted to also purchase tickets for the aerial ropes course. When we returned to the front around 1:00am, the desk was unattended for upwards for 5 minutes. After awhile, the same associate, Noah, returned to help us. He proceeded to greet us and say "what?". When I asked about purchasing tickets for the course, he said his register was closed so he couldn't help us and turned his back on me. This was so beyond unprofessional and insulting. I proceeded to ask for a manager at the winners circle as I was instructed also by Noah to report my game issues there as he couldn't help me. The manager, Eric, was of little help. I expressed my frustration with the encounter I had and he simply said something along the lines of "oh well my register back here is open if you want to buy tickets for the course. He probably just didn't know that". At that point, I was not interested in purchasing anything additionally because of the service and inattentiveness to my concerns. He did load the points to my card that the games did not accurately load, but I really expected more from the situation. If Main Event is advertised as being open until 2:00AM, they should not close their central cash register without notice an hour before closing. If it is, there should be proper signage or at the very least communication with the front desk staff to delegate customers to the back register instead. However, I was brushed off and said that it was closed and not offered and further guidance. I came to Main Event tonight for a spontaneous game night with friends, and while we did have fun with the games, I believe the service from the associates I encountered really hindered the experience overall. I'm not sure I'd be inclined to return solely based on this and because it can get very costly very quickly. read more

Our party person was so nice and kept me well informed. She made sure the kids drinks stayed refilled and moved the kids on to differnt activities in a timely fashion. I applaud her for dealing with rowdy boys who were yelling, jumping and being boys! She made sure all the shoes were accounted for during bowling and no one left their coats. Wow save yourself the hassle and do not even bother giving Main Event a try. Our group of seven was extremely disappointed with the customer service, wait times, and overall experience at Main Event. We arrived around 3pm on Sunday, February 16. Walking in, the front lobby was overcrowded and chaotic. We get into what we think is the main line for activities and after waiting about 20 minutes with 3 rowdy children we find out that you cannot even pay for bowling in person. We were very rudely told that you have to reserve and pay for bowling lanes online. OK, I get it's the Sunday before President's Day, the place is overcrowded and I'm sure your employer's patience is being tested, BUT COME ON MAIN EVENT DON'T BE RUDE. That is my absolute worst pet peeve when spending this kind of money. Train your employees to be nice. After reserving bowling lanes ONLINE, we go to Winking Lizard to kill time (much better experience, please look for my review). We return to Main event at approximately 5:20pm and proceed to wait in another ungodly line ONLY TO BE TOLD WE HAVE TO WAIT ANOTHER LINE. Yes, yelpers, it does get worse. The level of disorganization is outstanding, not only did the customer service worker tell us the bowling reserve line is around the corner after we waited 37 minutes, but he had the audacity to tell my boyfriend 'if you would let me finish' and talked back to him. Again ANOTHER RUDE customer service worker. Once we get in said bowling reserve 'line' there was one poor kid working that section when multiple people kept coming up to the counter. You had several employees hugging each other, sorting bracelets, chatting, and one poor kid walking people to bowling lanes. Main Event, you really have the potential to do good, but this is truly unorganized and not acceptable. You are lucky we didn't ask for our money back like we should have. Overpriced games, outrageous wait lines, and rude employees? Take your kids bowling somewhere else for sure. Trust me. We won't be going back. read more

This place has everything a kid (or adult) would need to stay entertained. We stopped in on a Friday early afternoon thanks to no school and it being my son's 7th birthday. The crowd was thin given the timeframe, but that left plenty of room to explore the place. I was impressed with the clean, organized atmosphere. The woman behind the counter was patient and courteous as we figured out what options we wanted to take advantage of. Apparently the way that activities and pricing are calculated changed some since last year so this threw us for a little loop. We purchased 100 credits per kid to start with. I will say that we had to do one reload each over the course of them beating one game. So if you're trying to be conservative with credits, stay away from the arcade games. I couldn't convince them to do the overhead course, but it was so cool that I still took multiple pics of it. We did observe others doing it and it looked perfectly safe. My only issue and reason for withholding a star came when I walked to the bar to place an order. During this time all bar and regular orders had to be placed there. I saw a family seated and eating at the bar so I knew someone was manning it, but the nearest employee couldn't be bothered to break his conversation being held less than 50 ft from me. I waited 8 minutes for someone who was moving tables to come and help me. She stated she wasn't used to making mixed drinks because the daytime crowd usually only orders bottled items. She realized halfway through making my drink that she was making the wrong one and had to ask me again what I ordered. She then had to open the menu to help herself out and pull out a fresh glass. I still think the drink was wrong; unless it was supposed to taste like pure overly sweet juice and nothing else. Definitely not worth the price. The glass was also majorly shorted. I see why people were sticking to bottles. We ended up ordering this massive sundae and some wings to hold us until the birthday dinner later. The wings were amazing. Truly fresh and everything you feel a wing should be. The sundae had 3 types of ice cream, brownies, donut holes, cookies, fudge, whipped cream, and candy in it! The kids were overjoyed. They say it's big enough for 4 people and I believe them. Our two kids tapped out. Overall Main Event serves its purpose and is worth a shot. I seem to have a bad experience every time I come here. I took my 4 year old bowling on February 11th and looked on the Main Event site to see what time they opened. The site said they opened at 10 but when I got there and went inside the lights were off and the gentleman behind the counter told me they didn't open until 11. I showed him where the site said 10 and he told me that must be for next Monday which was Presidents' Day. Well the day I went was also Monday and the site didn't specify that the time was going to be for the following Monday. So I had to waste an hour with a 4 year old until they opened. Once they did open it was us and one other family in the entire place and they proceeded to put us right next to each other on the bowling lanes. I then went back yesterday which was Sunday, March 3rd for all you can play laser tag with my 8 year old. Once I paid we got in line for laser tag and when it was our turn the girl asked if we had a time slip. I told her no and she told us next time go up to where the prize counter is and get a time slip. She was nice about it and let us play anyways. Once our game was over I went to get a time slip for another game and the guy told us the next available time was at 5 which was an hour away. Look I get that it's a Sunday and it's going to be busy so why not tell people how long the wait times are at the counter because I would've just left. Also please explain to people who haven't played laser tag there before the process of getting a time slip. read more

There was a 3 hour wait for bowling. We decided that was too long, so we were going to do the arcade instead. We went to the machines to purchase game cards with cash, but we only had larger bills and the machines don't give you change. So we went to the bar to order some drinks and break the larger bills. There were 3 bartenders. We stood there for literally 10+ minutes waiting for someone to take our drink orders. We politely placed our hands up when the bartenders were looking in our direction. Nothing. But they helped several other people within that 10 minutes, including people who walked up to the bar AFTER we did. This was my first time here and sadly it will probably be my last. Craziest experience of my life. We just got closed out and not allowed to order another drink. I had two beers in two hours. My wife the same. We a group in their 30s-70s. Our kids were all playing with all day passes. She forgot to get us a round. And was rude. We didn't argue, just reordered. Our kids weren't even at the table. And cause zero issues. We asked why we were cut off. She just staried. Finally saying it wasn't us it was the other table. They did nothing wrong either. Completely dumbfounded. Main event. The facility is very cool with lots of bright lights and fun decor. The staff was very helpful and even extended our bowling game by 30 minutes when our lane was malfunctioning. Food was good and beer was cold. Bathrooms were clean and there were lots of amenities including complimentary socks for bowlers! The only downfall here is the price. Everything is way too expensive for a normal middle class family. Here is an idea of what we experienced: One hour of pool: $16 Approx 1 1/2 hours of shuffle board $21. Drinks: $7:50-8.50 each (beer) One hour of bowling plus shoe rental for four people: $56 Overall between the four of us we spent $150 for the evening and we didn't even eat or use the arcade games. I can't imagine how anyone could afford to bring their kids here unless they use on of their weeknight packages which I admit has better pricing than a Saturday night. Overall we had a lot of fun, but in the future I think we will stick to a regular bowling alley to save $. I would like to come back and try the arcade games and laser tag sometime. read more
