Went to here for a work teambuilding event. Maybe they had better choices for food if you are not in a big group and have a catered menu but the food that we had was definitely not good. It was make your own tacos and nachos and the protein and rice was very bland but the corn was super salty. We did have fun bowling, and doing laser tag. We came here for a date night with the intention of getting an appetizer or two, some drinks, and bowl for an hour. The pricing is decent for bowling, but the entire place needs new staff, and more of them. All orders are done at the bar, and there was only one poor woman working there who informed me that she was the only employee there all day. There IS a food counter manned by employees who couldn't care less, who just direct you to the bar for everything. I stood at the food counter for several minutes until one of them finally meandered over and asked me what I wanted. Our bowling lane kept glitching and breaking. When my fiance informed the man at the shoe counter what was going on, he couldn't have cared less. We finally had to track down the manager and she graciously apologized and added extra time on to our bowling since we had to wait 2-3 minutes between each ball throw. The woman managing this place is an angel and deserves better. The entire area is generally dirty and not looked after due to the lack of effort on the part of the employees. It was shortly after they opened that I started coming here. Back in those prehistoric days, online reviews weren't so prevalent. Yelp was but a twinkle in someone's eye. Had I written a review though, I would have undoubtedly given 4 or 5 stars. But, over the years the appeal has steadily diminished, along with the frequency of my visits, to the point that I now only show up to attend an occasional child's birthday party. During my last visit/party there wasn't one activity that went smoothly. First of all, some of the laser tag equipment wasn't working properly. The staff had to swap out the gear for several kids after the game had begun, cutting their already limited play time even shorter. Also, numerous arcade games were either completely out of order or malfunctioned during game play. Unfortunately, these machines still worked well enough to take money/credits from game cards. When it came time to have lunch there weren't enough meals made for all the kids, despite the fact that they were ordered well in advance. These poor children sat and watched everyone else finish their food before theirs was finally served. It's too bad that this particular birthday party didn't include bowling, because that was always fun and without issues in the past. It might have even made up for some of the setbacks that the party guests experienced. I think kids tend to be more forgiving, so I'm sure most of them would jump at the chance to go back (I know mine would!). If it were entirely up to me, however, I would not return. If you want a fun time with the family and you're visiting the area, ME is a great place to go. We had such a great time visiting family and can't wait to just hang out again in the area. We wanted to go bowl but know there is so much more to do with anyone whether it's a blind date or just someone your getting to know better or a perfect place for the children. My attendant was present and accessible all night. Carey even gave a few tips and I got a strike!!! Bod, the manager came over and gave some gift cards for games to the family for a follow up visit. Thanks again Carey and Bob for helping our visit to be memorable. Went to play pool with some old friends and grab a few drinks after a wedding. My boyfriend had asked the bar to put on the Stars game, which they then informed him they needed a manager to do so. He waited patiently before retuning to our table where we were playing. We waited another hour checking randomly to see if they had put it on for him and his friend. I eventually went to the bar to grab us a some beers and saw that it still wasn't on. (The woman who helped me was incredibly kind and lovely). The guy who my bf had talked to previously was right by me while I was waiting on my order so I simply said "I hate to bother you but did you guys ever figure out if you were able to get the starts game on the tv that is facing us?" He proceeded to tell me that it was too hard to get it on and if we were that big of fans we should have gone to the game or had it on our phones. Keep in mind the entire bar was empty as well as the dining area around the pool tables. As someone who also works in food service, there was a better way to reply. There was no need for the rude response I received. I understand that sometimes you have a longer than usual day working a double and that it can be taxing on the emotional and mental state but even then this is how we make our money. We visit with grandkids OFTEN! Most of the time, our visits are pretty average. But, this time....Holly made it quite enjoyable! As we checked a variety of our Main Event cards....she, with great positivity, accommodated us! When we needed a bartender, at the bar, she quickly called someone to assist. Most times, we wait for quite awhile before someone is there to help...during "off peak" hours. Instead, we had beverages in minutes...all due to Holly. A few games, that we like, such as Lane Master...and one of the air hockey tables were not working. But, Joe, in the Game Center took care of us. It is nice to have this place as an option during the whole year...but, especially during the hot summer! read more

We recently arranged a birthday party for our son at the Main Event. Price-wise they seem to be about the same as others, if you have a party for +10 you can expect +$300. They explained the timelines of when the food would be served and when the kids could play the events like laser tag, bowling etc. They had one server that was available almost non-stop for questions and served food etc. The pizza was pretty good, a kind of pepperoni. I'm not sure if there were other kinds available. We also ordered their pretzel bites that comes with queso for us. The pretzel bites were really good and the queso really made it awesome! They weren't stingy on the time either, they weren't busy with that many other birthday parties so we did get a little extra time for the kids to play which was awesome. After complaining to the waiter, who was also shocked, the manager simply just told them to not pay. We visited on a Monday night & the crowd was light at 6:30. Lots of lanes available and pool tables also. They have a special on Mondays, so I'll bet it will be much busier as people get back out more. Tons of places to sit around the bar area & drink or eat some delicious pizza! Staff was very friendly & professional. The bartender could use a little steam in his engine - many people standing waiting & sometimes he was just grabbing a bottle of something, but taking so long to do it! Masks weren't enforced. This location is old, in need of updates, every pool table has tears in the felt, broke down rails. On Thursday afternoon, even with 5 or 6 employees sitting in the office, 1 employee was walking around looking lost. They had 0 zero service, couldn't buy a drink of any kind. Lots to do like bowling, cool games like, " fruit ninja, giant Pac-Man, virtual bunny and classics like, "AirHockey, pop a shot and skee ball." Usually we never have problems at Main Event but then again we are out of towners. At this location the machine that sets the pins up stops working every 5-10 mins. The machine keeps our balls then randomly starts to sporadically disperse them cause the balls to fall off the holder. The drinks took forever to get to us. Went on a Sunday afternoon. There was a good amount of people but we still received excellent service from the time we walked in, to the moment we left. As we arrived Ryland was great! He explained the specials and got us squared away with bowling really quick, he has great customer service and is a very kind person! He had someone walk us over to the lanes and explain how it all worked. We got our shoes and balls and played three games. There was a menu and tablet on the table where we ordered the cheese bites, they were so good! There was a server who came to check on us and made sure we had water and were having fun. Pretty bad experience. Came at 4:30 hoping to beat any crowd but it really didn't matter. Took 15 minutes to get a lane due to staff not knowing how to charge us for an hour of bowling. Out of 20 something lanes we got lanes 7 & 8 which did not work at all. Pins were flying back down the lane, the screen was skipping players and it took forever in between bowlers for the pins to reset. Tried getting help and no one seemed to know what they were doing. All the managers were on the phone any time we needed them, which was every ten minutes. Couldn't even get through one round of bowling in the hour we had paid for. One guy gave us ten minutes back on the clock and three free one hour play cards was the best they could do to compensate for the frustration. Most of the staff is very friendly which is why I'm giving this place two stars. Aside from that: yikes. My friends and I started off by wanting to eat, and some little shit working at the pizza parlor said in a dickish tone that we had to order at the bar. We went and did that, and the bartender was great, but we waited way too long for the food and we were the only ones eating. All of us were asked for our IDs by this guy that was there which was very weird considering we're all in our mid-to-late 20s to early 30s. One of my other friends that was with us is literally 42 and bald! The bowling lane my friends and I had was pretty faulty, and we waited for like damn near twenty minutes to get our game started. After that, I went off and got a game card (they're all super overpriced by the way), and the Guitar Hero guitar I tried to use didn't work at all. I tried using the other one to no avail. The VR headsets for the Raving Rabbids thing were absolute dogshit. The straps were ripped and the simulation cut off at a certain point. The fuck?? And then finally, my friend got very hurt when we were playing laser tag because a piece of the wall that was sticking out got him on his eyebrow and he was bleeding a lot. What a way to end the night. This place has always sucked, but this solidified me never ever wanting to come back. Go to Round One at Grapevine Mills, y'all. They are far superior. read more
