Laser tag, arcade like I've never seen, pool tables, bowling alleys, gravity ropes, shuffleboard, delicious food, non stop refills on drinks, and just plain fun for the kiddos. Way better than the reviews I've read on here. Our waitress, Alex, was fantastic; attentive and kind and knowledgeable. The food; we had sirloin steak, fried cod fish and chips, the All American Burger and Cheese Pizza - was yummy all around! Here's the scoop on games and prices. Bowling is $36 per hr. Pool tables are $8.45 per half hr, laser tag and gravity ropes are $9 per person. As for the arcade games, they have "fun cards" you can buy. If you get them at the main counter they are good for anything...laser tag, ropes, billiards, food, arcade, etc. If you get the food and fun combo deal from the restaurant, the fun card is only good for the arcade. But it's a good deal. The food and fun combo is where you pick an entree from a select menu and get a fun card for the arcade. They come in play amounts of $10 ($17.95), $20 ($24.95) and $30 ($32.95). It's a good deal. We got the sirloin steak with the deal and it was delicious and huge! We dropped a pretty penny, no doubt, but we do that at every arcade/ kids place we go. This one beats them all! We'll certainly return!!! read more

It was my first visit. I was impressed by the cleanliness right away. I was greeted by a friendly person right as I came in. I had a QR code from their website that gave $10 free play, which was a nice way to get started. I really, really like the ticketless points! A few of the games could have a better description of what to do and what the ticket "payout" is for your score. Some of them you lose so fast you don't know what you did wrong or what you could do better. I did have one game that malfunctioned, but it was just a few tickets. I liked how easy the prize selection room worked. I preferred being able to walk around and pick out my own stuff instead of trying to point it out to an attendant. I plan to go back, so took advantage of the holiday special that gives you $20 in arcade play when you buy a $50 gift card. I didn't try any of the food/drinks this time. read more

The place was fun but the employees weren't. They have the worst customer service ever for a fun place like this. I walked in with a good vibe and just wanted to have a good time with my family. We paid for all day activities for each person. When we were waiting to get the pool table balls from the bartender, which included in what we paid, the bartender ignored us even though there were not a lot of customers. I was standing in next to the bar for 10 minutes and he pretended like I wasn't there. He even skipped me in line and asked the other lady who just reached the bar to ask the same thing. The lady was so nice and told him that I was there first, but the bartender told the lady that he wanted to help her first. It was the worst experience ever. This place really went all out for my kiddo's birthday! Let me preface by saying that planning for a birthday party for winter babies is for the birds. Snow days will ruin the special day every single time. My kid's party was supposed to be a few weeks ago, but it got snowed out so I had to rush to reschedule the party. Unfortunately, not all the kids could make it out at the newer date so I was stuck with paying the minimum of 10 kids for a birthday party. Monica Magee worked with me to give the kiddos extra playing time at the arcades which I felt was a great compromise to the kids who couldn't make it to the party. We had our nephews for the weekend and this was a great place to bring them to let them get out some energy! There's tons of stuff for kids for do (arcade games, laser tag, bowling, etc). The biggest set back is the price: you can basically burn money here. The games are a bit pricey. Three stars essentially because it was a little expensive, it was very confusing when we walked in (why can't you buy a game card and laser tag tickets at the main desk? Why wait in line? There was no explanation), and it honestly seemed way too easy to lose a kid here. There should be some sort of way to ensure you leave with the right kiddos as this place is packed and has seemingly no security. As a kid walking into this place it is heaven in you never want to leave. As a parent walking in this place it is straight-up nightmare because you know you're going to be broke by about three hundred bucks and spend half your day here. Just kidding though. We went there to bowl and after getting our velcro shoes and being escorted to our lane we have been approached by a server who was happy to bring us drinks and food. Are bowling game involved the adults on one side in the kids on the other. You never want to bowl with kids. They ruin everything. It's automatic scoring in the cool part about it with the kids is if your kid wants those gutter protector things up they pop up automatically. The bad thing is they have these ridiculous animations on the screen that actually delay the game because after every frame they put an animation up of a stupid character doing something dumb you have to wait for it to finish before you can bowl again. We only got one game in because right when we started our second game our time was up. In the lane shut down. We promised the kids they can do laser tag, which they did and then the elevated obstacle course thing which they did and meanwhile we sat and had some drinks and played pool. Then I remembered how much I hate playing pool because I suck at it. Lastly the kids were able to use their cards to play games and get the tickets a la Chucky Cheese. Then they go to the little store and trade in their tickets for a bunch of tchotchke crap you don't need but the kids like it and have fun. Entertainment galore! (If you can afford it) This place has video games, bowling, laser tag, shuffle board, decent food, pool tables and even an obstacle course. The issue I have is I'm big on customer service. I bought two cards and they charged me 1 dollar apiece to activate them...really?! Also, they didn't tell us about the special that if you put $35 on a card you get $5 more added free. Or better yet, get $75 dollars put on a card you get $25 free added. That would have been nice to know. I bought two cards and put $40 each on them. Not good for me. Lastly, my son, 11, was 12 points short on what toy he wanted to get and they would only give him 5 points..really? I dropped $80 dollars so you should give a crappy toy for 6 points. (The toy was like 450 points and we had 438). Should have given it to us. (Again customer service!) The food (pizza and burger) was pretty good. I would say if you have the money this place will be fun. I just feel that if you are going to be expensive then you better have excellent customer service. read more

I came here for the first Sunday, August 4th & purchaser 2 of their fun cards to check it out. It was $25 which they gave an extra $5 bonus so it was worth $30 + $2 card activation fee. Pretty clean & nice establishment. There weren't many video games though so I wandered around figuring out what I wanted to play. Returned yesterday Thursday, August 8th for a little get together for a co-worker that is leaving. Ordered some drinks. I hit the vodka press & my friend got a boulevard wheat draft. Total for both was almost $15. Shuffle board I believe was about $7.75 for 30 minutes which seems pricey. So I forgot my card from Sunday at home & had to buy a new one & to my surprise they changed it from dollars to points system. I asked if my old cards were still valid since there was some money left on it. Not much but still could play a few games with. Anyways she told me it might not work but I could try to use it & if it doesn't work then I can play 1 game of the Skeeball then it wipes the card clean with no money. That definitely didn't sound like a deal at all to me since Skeeball was $1.50 to play & if I had about $5+ left then I'm just out the rest of the money on it. Didn't sound right at all but what can I do? I can't say that I won't return due to how pricey it is in there but I still have a bunch of points left on my newest card to use up. Overall displeased with my experience at this place. The prices are way high, and they charge you for additional things that you're already paid for (ex: paid for bowling, but had to pay extra for bowling shoes) Their pricing and the way the whole place works is confusing and their employees aren't very friendly from the ones we saw. Ending our evening with what we were hoping would be a few games of bowling, but they require you to checkin for additional games. We checked in 30 mins before our round ended to let them know we would like to play a second game, was told no problem. Went back to let them know we were ready for 2nd game, and the story changed and we were then told it would be an hour wait to play again even though we were already in a lane. Took part of my family of 5 to Main Event on 10/20. We sat our self's to eat, even tho there were signs asking us to see the Hoastess. Plenty of staff back in the kitchen hanging out. We order drinks, Olivia the bartender was nice and trying hard as it was busy. The food came out cold, we order the cheese dip. I asked for it to be hot and they microwaved the old dip and bought it back out. Was still cold and unacceptable. We had to get up and get our own napkins and side plates due to not being offered. We love it there. It's very close and it's usually where we take our visitors. It is like a grown up arcade place. But it would be nice on Friday and Saturday nights that they have a curfew for kids under 18. Then the adults can have fun without kiddos running around like it's Chuck E Cheese's I do just have to say you need to either give the stretchy bracelets, the casino spring attachments or what Chuck E Cheese has move to which is bracelets. Whoever says there's nothing to do in Kansas has never been to Main Event! It's SO much better than Dave & Busters. There's a similar vibe with a bar and arcade, but the crowd is more adult than teeny boppers. The entertainment is kid-friendly -- there just weren't that many the evening my coworkers and I were there. Additionally, this place offers more activities. The indoor ZIP LINE rope-walking obstacle course (AKA Gravity Ropes) and laser tag were both fun! You also have bowling and billiards as options. Oh and shuffle board, which I completely forgot about after all of the running in the dark. Gravity Ropes was a lot harder and scarier than we thought! The scariest part (the actual zipline) ended up being most fun and not that scary after all! I don't know anything about the cost because I came here as part of my work conference offsite activity (including dinner). Best one yet! read more

Kids everywhere unattended and it seemed children had accidents around every corner. The place smelled awful which was a direct link to the amount of kids as the facility itself was clean. An Employe at main even on the front register made every employee come up to us after being there for an hr and saying an 11 year old was being rude to her and we tried to ask her what we did so we can apologize but she was scared to talk to us. This place is pretty cool. It is VERY clean and full of all kinds of video games (most give tickets). We took our five (5) year old daughter here on a whim one day. She had a great time. It was lots of fun and there were lots of different things for her to pick from. The only downside is that it is much more expensive than say a place like Power Play. But, it is also much cleaner. The staff there were very friendly. It is close to our home. So we will definitely be going back during the cold months with the kiddos when they get antsy inside the house. And maybe my wife and I will take advantage of a date night and go there for the restaurant and full bar someone! Who knows?! read more

Finally got a chance to get back out went to main event for my daughter birthday. Overall had a good time at main event with the family really nice how the games are set up, along with bowling, and laser tag. My only complaint is that the games are expensive i felt like my kids ran out of money so fast in the amount of time they got their card. My kids really enjoyed the establishment we also sit down to eat before games. The food and service was really pretty average. Could have been a little bit better, but due to a busy night and what looked to be a shortage of servers I won't complain. The absolute worst customer experience from the staff to upper management. Paid over $250, Was told the wait time was a 30 minutes to a hour. 2 hours later was told that we where next in line and continued to get skipped by people the staff knew. Where to start? I've been to this location twice in the past. Service has never been great so i have never been back. But my husbands company booked their Christmas party here so we returned. They reserved a room with a buffet, purchased drink tickets and we had unlimited wrist bands for all activities. Pros: Clean, not many kids on a Sunday night, activities were entertaining and bartender Kim was great! Cons: 1. We were told we only had the room for 1 hour? We had to eat quickly and the room was packed. Chairs back to back - uncomfortable. Where were we suppose to place our coats and personal belongings while we participated in activities? 2. For 40 guest we had 1 server. At one point our buffet ran out of shredded cheese and it was not replenished even after asking our server to do so. In addition, this server I guess was suppose to follow us around to redeem our drink tickets?...NEVER saw her. We had to go to the bar and back while at the bowling lanes. Other servers we saw were like, "I am sorry, the server of your party has to take care of the drink tickets or the bartender". We even requested a server and requested to purchase drinks at our order station. Light just kept blinking. No one came. We were a group of mostly men. We crushed the tickets and ordered plenty of other beverages and food all night long. Let me tell you, our bartender made bank off of our party. 3. Premium drink tickets are CRAP! Do not buy them. We were invited here for a corporate event a few months back. Our favorite part was the Bowling. Main Event has great video-scoring with animation that made it WAY more fun than usual bowling. We would go back just for the bowling. That made the night for us. The indoor "zip-line" was okay. I have zip-lined outdoors (in Hawaii) so obviously that is a hard act to follow. We did the paintball, which was fun. I had never done paintball before, so I was entertained. Some of the people we were with said it was "lame" as far as paintball goes. Clean areas and waitresses we're effecient. The food was average and over priced but not bad. I love the screens for bowling with the kids and if you have a party of 6 or less I found this to be the best bowling value in the area. Clean restrooms but an overall loud place as it's basically for kids. I did find it a bit odd seeing women chasing their kids with glasses of wine in their hands before 12pm but to each his own. This place is clean and has many different activities. I've been here 3 or 4 times. One time I came with my husband during the day; it was awesome! Inexpensive, not crowded. Perfect. The other two times I've come during "peak" hours. Once it was $95 for 3 people to bowl for 2 hours. There are other attractions in this area that are more fun for the same price. Laser tag is fun with a large room, but once it was so crowded we didn't get to participate in our time slot even though we reserved a spot. Ropes is also fun, but a one-time thing. We had a great team bonding event here. I was a little nervous when I heard the food was appetizers at a bowling alley, but it was so much better! We had mini sliders and hot dogs, wings, and tater tot bites. Everything was decently good! It was also much cleaner than expected, plus so much more than bowling! My wife and I eagerly awaited this place when we saw it being built. We love to bowl and some of our first dates were at a Main Event in Wichita. We took the opportunity to try it out this weekend. All and all, it's nice and clean. All the arcade games function as little children have yet to destroy them. We didn't try the laser tag or the gravity course. We did bowl. The bowling was fun. They add a little silly picture thing with it, making it fun for the whole family. The wait service was attentive. We didn't order any food, so I can't speak to that. What I can speak to was the cost, which I felt was a bit too much. For an hour bowling and two pairs of shoes, it cost $50. We got two drinks, a soda and a tea, the soda was $4 and the tea was $3. The arcade games where $1.50 to $1.75 a credit. They have you put it on a card so you don't see how fast it goes. They also put all the tickets you win on a card too, which is convenient. We can go a lot of places for cheaper. Granted, this place is brand new. They may still be learning what price point they can fit into, but that was a hard hit on the wallet. For us, that makes Main Event more of a special occasion thing as the price is a bit too astronomical for us to do regularly. read more

omg this is like dave n busters on steroids! came in just to check it out because it was new and ended up staying for a few hours. they got private rooms for parties, tables to eat, a full bar, lots of games, a zip line and gravity thing up top, and a full bowling alley. seems like a great place to throw parties or hang out. if they have a happy hour, then you know where i'll be everyday after work. plenty of tvs to watch the games. i hope they have after hours where its only 21 and over are allowed. that would give this a fifth star. read more
