Worst Birthday Party experience ever. Before the event, I never received an updated contract. When I arrived at event, it was already clear the host had absolutely no clue what she was doing. We had a large party and she was not prepared. My guests were coming to the party, and there was no one at the check in. I had to leave the party just to show guests where to go. I also had to show my guests where to get the shoes from. Another host ended up helping us add bowlers, so kids could enjoy bowling. Since bowling was highly unorganized, the kids only had 30 minutes to bowl since most didn't know where my party was at first. Host bought water for bowling 15 minutes before the kids were done. Then, host was still missing so I directed the kids back to our party room. The room didn't have water or lemonade yet. Then the pizzas were unprepared so we wasted 15 minutes in the room just sitting. Host took a long time for cake knife and candles so then we ended up singing Happy Birthday with nothing. This party had a lot of time wasted with a horrible host. Large parties need to be corrected here. I will surely never return and taking that matter to corporate with my many witnesses. We were here on vacation and stumbled across Main Event! Visual it was a really cool place! We loved all the games that were there. We didn't get to bowl.or anything. The game prices weren't bad because they had a deal going on on Monday and Tueday nights! Definitely worth the money I'd say. The Bad: The reason for the 3 is that the dining area is dead. I understand there aren't enough workers. But the way we waited, they might as well just close that area down. The food came out really good though. However, it was the biggest headache getting seated and getting someone to take our order! read more

Ok, let's be honest, no one goes to main event for the food. However if you do decide to eat the food here you can expect it to be better than ok. I never have high expectations for places like this but I was surprised at how good the food was (it's by no means a 5 star restaurant). But while the food was fairly decent the service was great! My first time there We sat at the bar and after enjoying some food and crazy cotton candy covered drinks, we then went on to play some games. Tons of games to play and all a lot of fun. Similar to some other places you can earn points and use them to get prizes at the prize area. Some how a member of our group got 2 jackpots and we came home with a ton of "Kabby patty's" So why the 5 stars? Overall great service and a great time, if you're looking for a fun way to spend a few hours I recommend this place, they've got bowling and other stuff too! read more

I was at this place for the first time in June. I woulda reviewed sooner but couldn't find the place on Yelp. I was here on a Sunday so it was busy. I was with a nonprofit organization so everything happened to be complimentary. I had a great time! I got to play some arcade games. I also did the skytrail which was not easy. It was fun and was cool to be able to see everything from higher up. I also got to do a little bowling. Bowling is always fun especially with great company! The group had ordered pizza. The pizza was ok. It probably doesn't necessarily fall into the healthy category. This is one of those treat places because it's a little pricey. Everything adds up. But it's one of those places definitely worth trying at least once for sure! There's a lot more activities I didn't get to try so I look forward to returning at some point. read more

We hosted a birthday party at Main Event. We were just planning on bowling, but the party package also came with arcade cards which were a big hit. We spent the first hour bowling. The lanes were clean and spacious. Then we moved to our lunch table where the food was waiting for us! Our wonderful party host, Ashley helped serve pizza. And the kids had chicken tender baskets. After eating, we had cake in the same area. Ashley cut the cake too! We then got our arcade cards and the kids dispersed. Now the families were free to leave when they were ready. We saw a lot of kids leaving with candy from the prize shop, so it was like an extra party favor! I would definitely host parties here in the future. It was so easy for us because we didn't need to worry about anything, and everyone had fun. read more

Everything was too expensive for what it's worth. Some of the games take your points from your card but the game doesn't work, no refund of points back for that either. Waste of money. The bowling was the most fun part, but the service around the bowling lanes is nonexistent. We had to call a server over to us after being ignored for our first 40min of bowling. We would have loved to enjoy drinks while not losing bowling time. It was weird though because the server was going around to everyone except our lane. Would I ever go back? I come here again and again it was terrible. Sat at the bar for 10 minutes and was not served. The bartender came over and literally looked at us and moved on. Game machine took our money and did not play the games and when we tracked down an employee to ask they said we had to wait in a long line to get money back on our card. I did not enjoy my time at Main Event at all. We ordered food, from the food stand and it took over 40 mins to get our items. After we waited, we did not get the whole order because they ran out of items. To top it off, we did not get back our money, even though the manger said it would be refunded. Now to the games. Multiple games were not working. I had to stand in a long line more than once so they can give me back my credits on my game card. Honestly that was beyond frustrating. I had really high hopes for this establishment because it's so close to home and had never been to this franchise. The Good stuff: It's really clean and looks great. The bathrooms were clean and that's appreciated big time. They offer a good amount of things to do for the family. Why I was bummed: We've been to many similar places around the country and sadly they are all like this. The staff is mostly kids and there's maybe 2 of them that care about their jobs. Asking questions about how everything works yields a blank stare and the inability to explain things properly. Here's one example: We have 5 kids and wanted to buy 2 of the $100 game card packages because it comes with the most benefit. We wanted to divide the credits up amongst 5 cards. Well, you can't do that for some crazy reason. When we asked to do it, you'd think we were asking them to do calculus or solve world issues. They end result was awful. There's more but don't want to make the post "too long didn't read" In the end we had fun but holy crap it's not cheap. Came here on April 27, it was Wednesday night at 10 p.m., the place was pretty much dead. First, waited for about 10+ mins for the Main Event employee to show up at the service desk to assign us a bowling lane. I had to find someone in the restaurant to find an employee to ring us out. Once assigned a bowling lane, we ordered wine and a margarita. The wine came in a hot toddy glass mug and then margarita in a coke glass. No salt or sugar rim. Presentation sucked. The server stated the bartender said it was the same drink, doesn't matter if the drink is in the wrong glass. However, the presentation does matter. I just call it laziness and lack of caring. However, the server was very nice and professional. I just blame the laziness on the bartender and some of the other employees in the restaurant, especially when they saw me standing at the service desk for 10+ mins. read more

If you're going in for bowling, I recommend letting them know early (especially on busy days). The night that I went there was an hour wait! To fill the time, I ventured into laser tag where there was a cool two-story arena to challenge your friends and others. A great way to burn calories and live out your Call of Duty dreams. This place reminds me a bit of Dave & Busters, but what differentiates this experience is that they have VR options for games. What a time to be alive! We spent damn near $600 on a party of 15. we had to argue every step of the process. They gave us a table of four for 15 kids and parents. They brought food out for the parents first, but no one bother to tell us. So the kids ate the food. The managers could care less what was transpiring. We paid the bill and it got even worse. Went to Main Event with a friend for the first time last night, for a little childish fun. We had a fantastic time! This place is similar to a Dave & Buster's, with an arcade and dining room, and some subtle differences. I saw a full bowling alley along the back of the venue, and pool tables in the dining area, which was visible but separated from the arcade by glass panes. There's a large help desk when you walk in, with prices for swipe cards, bowling, etc clearly marked. My friend and I spent a good hour playing basketball connect four (I need one of these for my house), and various coin drop games, which we both appear to be highly addicted to. We had a really great time pretending to be kids, and on several occasions needed assistance from various staff who were incredibly friendly and attentive. read more

Great place for adults and kids that is filled with games, bowling, billards, food, bar, gravity ropes. Like many other places, the prizes to redeem your points arent the best. The gravity rope is about $10 and you sign up in the same place you shop for prizes. read more

I just hosted my daughter's birthday party of 24 kids/ 20 adults. 1. No carts to assist with transporting cake, table topers, balloons etc. Room was not ready. Then when in the room there are no pitchers for drinks and are expected to go on the opposite side of the room for sodas. I had to wait for food to come for over 10min. I dropped over a grand on this event. Lessoned learned NEVER AGAIN WILL I HOST OR RECOMMEND THIS ESTABLISHMENT!!! Nice set up for the kids to have fun but service is 0!! read more

I'm going to try to be fair. I strongly dislike bowling. However, good people make anything fun. A guest of my party today called ahead and was given a rate of $15/person if you come before 12p for bowling. Bowling was all we'd planned to do as a party of 8, several children. We came in and were given the price of $36/lane for 1hr if bowling (which I find extremely high having come from Philly we never spent that much for Lucky Strike or North Bowl which would be the closest comparisons). Then shoes on top of that. The shoes didn't fit my daughter but they had no smaller sizes and they didn't exclude us from still having to rent her shoes. They called someone to escort us to our lane. She was extremely patient and helpful setting up the lanes, bumpers, ball choice, you name it. So we got the lanes because 4 kids now wanted to bowl and a manager stopped by to greet every lane. She was very nice, and professional. We discussed the disparity of what was quoted via phone and were told the price was for a wristband that was all inclusive for 1hr, per person. This is not what we'd been told via phone. The manager apologized, reset our lanes to allow for the time we'd lost discussing this, and we decided to just bowl for the hour as the kids weren't all tall enough or old enough to really enjoy the other features the band would've given them. The manager apologized and stated she'd discuss with her phone reservation operator this miscommunication. Truthfully, she handled it extremely well & she was very courteous. I give her a lot of credit facing a party of 8 who weren't initially very happy. I wish I'd gotten her name but she was great. We ordered food- pizza (plain), nachos, chicken fingers w/ fries. The food took an very long time to come out. So much so we thought we wouldn't have time to eat before our hour+ extra time granted was up. The beers were fine, but also seemed to take a while to come out. The food was mediocre. I wasn't expecting phenomenal food, but for the price I expected better. We sent the nachos back & they were removed from our bill but overall the food I'd skip. Eat before you go or wait to eat elsewhere. What I can say is they're working things out, and they're trying really hard to give great service. Every person was friendly, helpful, professional, and willing to make it a good time. They were diligently cleaning, keeping people at a safe distance, wearing masks, and checking in on patrons. In short go. Go and have fun. Have some drinks and bowl. Or take your kids to go have fun. I would definitely say you can have a good time and they want to make it a great environment. I'd just give them some time before all the kinks are worked out which let's face it, some tolerance during Covid is fair. read more
