Am I one of the few people who use YELP to let everyone know just how awesome this company is? 2018 the first week in June was HOT! I am now medically retired so I'm home... everyday...all day... sounds fun at first but ... Anyway my AC was working just fine and I was slowly cleaning and doing the retired peoples things, (napping comes to mind)...My condo started getting warmer and warmer but the fan was blowing but when I felt it and the air was way warm. Being the first hot week of summer I knew every place would be busy but I'd take what I could. I wanted to call the people I had here before for my furnace but could not think of the name, so I called 2 companies set up appts with them both (just in case) . One guy came over on Wednesday, looked at my unit and didn't even take off the face cover! I asked him if he wanted the breaker off and he wanted to know if this was a swamp cooler or central air...? REALLY? i told him where he could access the roof and he looked like I just clubbed him over the head! He said he needed to get someone with a ladder and he left, leaving my unit open with wires hanging loose! The other company called the next day telling me they were on the way, YAY! NOT!` They were a no show and if you call a few places you get thrown into some computer from Hell, that start calling you from everywhere! My phone rang confirming my flooring appt??? And a bunch of others wanted to set up appts to fix my air! Air? I needed oxygen by then! The same place that no showed called confirming for the next day and the next, day after day, even schedued me for Sunday, in Utah? I knew that was wrong! Six days later I found the invoice from Main Street!!!! I called late Sunday night and they said Zach would be here in the morning. He got here right on time, smile on his face, and actually seemed happy to be at work! He came in, visited my dog, and looked at the unit. Went to his truck and came back with his ladder, I just sort of told him how people get up there cuz you have to take the ladder with you. He didn't need to be told any of that. About 5 minutes later he came back down, and went to the face of the unit. He hooked a couple of wires together and guess what? THE AIR CAME RIGHT ON!!!! I was going to have him write inside the door with red marker the phone number and name but after this experience I won't bother calling anyone else again! I'm telling you, these people are THE BEST! If I had known that a business like Main Street Heating & Cooling existed, I never would have dealt with any other HVAC business in the past. I am truly beyond impressed with the level of service that I received. Doug was completely upfront and honest, easy to speak to, highly knowledgeable, and incredibly understanding and friendly; this was beyond refreshing for me, as I have never experienced this with another HVAC business (not even close). In my experience it is rare to find a company, of any type, that is so customer-driven and puts the needs of its customers first. I couldn't believe how quickly Doug was here to help me, and he was always right there to answer my phone calls with any other questions I had. Their slogan "Fast & Friendly Service" could not be more accurate. With this level of customer service, I am confident Main Street Heating & Cooling will never have any shortage of return customers. This will be my go-to HVAC company in the future, no question in my mind. I will also be telling all of my friends/family that they can trust this business to treat them right. Very happy to have my A/C up and running in so little time. I absolutely feel that they were looking out for my best interests. It is obvious to me they are not looking to make a quick (one-time) buck at the customer's expense; they are looking to form long-term, meaningful relationships with their customers, which only comes with treating the customer right! Our a/c unit stopped working on a super hot Saturday afternoon. I called around to see what the cost would be to come diagnose our a/c. After approximately 5-9 calls to different companies, I came away frustrated because they were either hours away from committing to come our house or their fee was outrageous just to come by. Luckily, I was able to call Main Street Heating and Cooling on my last attempt to resolve my a/c issues. The tech graciously offered to come by and diagnose my unit without any fee. The tech arrived and resolved the problem with ease. It was a very simple fix that did not require any new parts. Not only was he very knowledgeable about the problem but he also replaced a few plastic parts with some more stable and sturdy material ( I think it was brass). He also took the time to diagnose other parts in my home to make sure everything was functioning correctly. Wow! What amazing service. It's acts like these that make me want to do business with them in the foreseeable future. It wasn't the fact that he did all this for free but it was the attitude and willingness to share valuable information that would help me in the long run that makes me want to do further business with this company. Turns out the tech was the owner. Thanks Doug! You will be hearing from me if any heating or cooling problems arise in the future. I just had to share with others how outstanding this company has been. I called on a Tuesday night after the incompetent fool from Action came by to do a maintenance on our furnace telling us it was dangerous and would need to be replaced. This when just the year earlier I was told it was so clean I could expect another 10 years out of it (it's only 10 years old and perfectly maintained). The gentleman on the phone at Main Street understood what I explained and sent Brian out. Brian was astoundingly accurate and honest and showed us his findings all along the inspection way. This entailed a scope with a camera attached as he revealed we had NO cracks in the heat exchanger as claimed by the idiot at Action. Brian also pointed out how immaculate the furnace was and it would not require any further cleaning. We had him put in the new filter for the Aprilaire humidifier and instead of $2500 it cost us $99. We were afraid we were done for as there was NO way after 5 months out of work I could afford such a disaster. I can't say enough wonderful things about Brian and we will for sure be calling back for Brian when it's time for the air conditioner maintenance. Had these folks come and take a look at my AC that went out a couple of weeks ago after another company that we have always used, in fact the ones that installed our system 10 years ago, drop the ball. Zac came and took a look at it late Monday afternoon before the 4th and told us, what I had feared, that the compressor had gone out. He gave me a price on what it would cost to replace, which was considerably less than what the other company had given me, and said they would order it and that Mike would let me know when they could get it installed. About 2 hours later Mike gave me a call and said they would be there Thursday morning to put the new compressor in. Zac showed up, went to work and had it up and running within a few hours. The whole time he was here he was very professional yet a whole lot of fun to talk to and explained everything he was doing and why he was doing it. The scary thing is, if the other company hadn't drop the ball I would have never bothered looking these guys up and it would have cost me a whole lot more money than what main Street Charged me. I signed up for their maintenance program on the spot and promptly removed the other companies stickers and phone number and replaced them with Main Streets information. read more

We thought that our air conditioner had quit working, and we had Main Street come and take a look. They were early and keep us posted as to when they would arrive. When Brian showed up, he was in a nice van and a clean work shirt and he quickly found the problem, and replaced the contractor, and let us know that if we wanted a new air conditioner, that he would credit this service back to us within six months. He was not pushy and he even explained rebate and financing offers available if we decided to get a new air conditioner. Ours is older, but we were pleased that at least for now, that we will not need to replace it yet. They even thanked us with some cookies, which I really thought was a very good way to say thanks. I will definitely us them again, and would highly recommend them to anyone wanting an honest and fair assesment of their air and heating needs. Thank you Main Street!!!!! read more

Mainstreet Heating and Cooling are a terrific company both in terms of price and service. We have used this company many times and have never been disappointed. We were recently in a jam in that we were selling our house and dealing with a stubborn furnace that would not stop leaking at the same time. We had to get the furnace fixed quickly so we could sell our house. They made time for us quickly, even at inconvenient hours, on multiple occasions, and were far better than reasonable in terms of what they charged us, especially considering the circumstances and what they did for us. The owner and service technician are friendly, honest, responsive and an all-around pleasure to work with. I would never hesitate to recommend this company to anyone who needs heating and cooling work done. We are very grateful to Doug and Brian for making a very difficult situation a little easier. read more

After searching Google and finding all the local air conditioner repair services around my local area, I made a list and prepared to drive around to see who has a real shop and who works from a barn or PO BOX! Lots of laughs, but most of the ones with websites and pictures of multiple vehicles turned out to be farm land with no trucks or just one. Then I found two that had real offices in real office building and a series of trucks! When I call this one, the owner answered at 10:30pm, most impressive, just as I was preparing to leave a message a human voice answered. Three days later the technician came out and inspected the unit. No charge, then gave me an estimate and did the repair on the spot! Wow, my air works great now. No waiting for parts, they carried the parts on on them in their trucks. I will keep this company in my local service company directory. read more

This place scammed me with repairs that were never needed ,they never showed up on time I was told I needed a new airconditioner unit so I scheduled to have them put a new one in after they insisted only a ac unit that cost over 10 thousand would be efficient I agreed being that it was hot and im a single parent and needed the ac fixed quickly they missed there appointment which turned out to work in my favor so I called another ac company and they said the unit was only a few years old and needed a air filter replacement $12 dollars and neededa ac recharge they checked for leaks and found none I contacted main street heating and cooling and told them what the other service professional did to fix it and they said were only humans we make mistakes so dissapointed in my experience with them . read more

I had been asked to write a review as early as the first estimate visit, however, I waited because I wanted to see if this was a company I would end up choosing. Ultimately, it was. Brent was very nice, straight forward and helped me understand what the issue was in my home. I obtained 2 other bids. I felt as though the other companies were trying to give me a price just to beat Brent's and were not giving me the quality I would get from Main Street. After asking lots of questions to all three, I choose Main Street. Very happy with the new furnace! (who knew your furnace could impact the coolness of your home). We had a thermostat problem on Saturday night. We called MainStreet Heating and got a prompt response. He said he would be over in 30 minutes and arrived in 20 minutes. Doug the technician, was polite and friendly. It was a complicated issue and Doug was thorough and diligent in finding the answer. He called the factory rep to get answers to questions he had. The outcome was very satisfactory I could not be more pleased with the service I received from Main Street Heating and from Doug. I will definitely use them again for any future problems and I will recommend them to friends who might need furnace or AC work. read more

I just had them install new furnace/AC for my home. Very happy experience. Brent, the owner, very thoroughly examined my home, including all the vents, before sitting down to explain to me all the options in detail. He even reminded me that I don't have enough insulation in the attic. He and the installers always made sure my home stays clean by covering my carpet with plastic sheet, or taking off shoes when walking around. Then after the installation, Brent came again and made sure I get all the rebates filed correctly, and also make sure I am happy with the new install. I am blown away at the service that I got at Main Street Heating and Cooling. Typically I am always a bit skeptical with any service calls to my house - always wondering if I got a good deal or taken to the cleaners. My AC shut down in the hottest summer on record and was miserable.. fully anticipating I would need a nice AC unit I was referred to Main Street Heating and Cooling. We were having problems with our AC. Didn't know who to call so we checked on Yelp and Main Street had good reviews. We called late on a Saturday afternoon. We got a call from a technician within 20-30 minutes. Said they would be out on Monday at 10:00 am. Brian showed up on time and diagnosed the problem within minutes and had the AC up and running. Last July, the A/C unit quit working. I had another company come out to assess the problem, but didn't feel good about working with them. Fast forward to April. BUYER be AWARE I had Main Street service my furnace. The Thermostat stopped working. $315 for a generic transformer and $88.00 for the diagnostic fee. After the service, I check used the old transformer to check the price of the transformer. I could buy the OEM transformer for $135. A generic transformer would cost between 15 to 40% less that the OEM transformer. The $315 charge for the replaced transformer is fraudulent business practices and price gouging and at the extreme. read more

What a great company! They were professional and had a bid over the phone for a leaky AC coil,,, which they honored. The other guys we called gave us a bid that was double Main Street's amount. The communication was right on and they even left a little bag of cookies when they left! I would recommend them for anyone's needs. Priced right and clean and organized work!
