Friendly staff. I frequently go to the Mini Mart. Great neighborhood feel. Staff that you get to know. Not just a convenience store.

The girl Kate that worked there had an aditude with me for paying with coins . That's all I had for money . She told me "I had to kick out some one for using coins ." The woman working at the counter is unbearable. Her attitude towards me is ridiculous. She judges my purchases and how I chose to pay. Its so unprofessional and makes me wicked uncomfortable every single time I come when she's working. She rolls her eyes the minute I walk in; takes her SWEET TIME to pause her "keep busy tasks" (that she starts as I begin to grab my few items) to check me out; has her arms crossed; refuses to take the money from my hand, so she smacks the counter for me to put the $ down. I have no idea how she still has a job. I understand people have bad days, but her whole energy shifted from the customer before me to when she started serving me one time. I mean a huge smile on her face to a complete frown & a disrespectful attitude . I thought it was her job to check me out! I'm a paying customer in a small town, that LOVES having a store right up the street from my home, but she just ruins my entire experience :( read more

Usually go to the mart every day but last night I mentioned that I might take a nap and was told by Kate that I was lazy. I've started working in 1974 before she was born. I spent 40 years running emergency rooms I've helped save thousands of lives and seen more tragedy then anyone should. Now I'm old and disabled who is she to judge me she is usually rude and has no problem making people wait.i hope never to see her again. Not sure why she still has a job. read more

I frequent the mini pretty regularly. The sandwiches are good. Good selection for a mini mart. Great beer selection. I won't be back until after COVID. The sign says mask required but they served someone without a mask today. I said something to both the individual not wearing a mask and the manager. The manager without hesitation said it's ok we have asked him before but he doesn't want to. So on that note I'll take my business elsewhere-COVID is on the rise and that is unacceptable answer in the middle of a pandemic. I do not need to be somewhere that a business will serve someone not wearing a mask especially since they serve good. Stay safe out there people and chose your business wisely. read more

I grew up in West Newbury and have been going to the Main Street Mini Mart for 25 years. I've continued to go there because of the friendly, family at home atmosphere. Today I walked in like any other day, and was greeted so rudely by a young lady with short blonde chin length hair behind the counter. My girlfriend and I had expressed to her we had been working in the yard all day and opted to stop in to get some refreshments. She looked at us quite coldly and asked if we wanted her to be blunt or not. We said yes - and she proceeded to say " I don't care, and that is me being nice". She made us feel so uncomfortable and offended that sadly, it ruined our experience and will never go there again. read more
