Nevertheless, I had just finished brunching nearby and since it was such a gorgeous day out, I decided to take a walk through the park and check it out. MSP is not large - the center of it is a large green space with paths on the perimeter that contain walking paths and benches. In addition to the Shake Shack, there's also a small seating area nearby where you can sit and eat, or just hang out. The park is ideal of people watching, eating your lunch, or just walking around a space that contrasts the hustle and bustle of the surrounding areas. Because of the weather, it was a little crowded but still pleasant. Overall, MSP is fine - it's not worth coming to unless you're in the area IMO, but a pleasant spot nonetheless.

Conservatory garden is only 6 acres compared to 58 acres are the Brooklyn botanical garden and 250 acres of the New York botanical garden in the Bronx however the conservatory garden is free while the Brooklyn botanical garden charges $22 and the New York botanical garden charges $30 and both are a long Subway and walk away. Much easier to access the conservatory garden and find out which flowers are in bloom and which flowers are past bloom before spending time and money going to the larger botanical gardens

A nice place for a stroll around, not such a big area, and free admission. With benches for sitting, though some are not shaded. Beautiful iron gate at the 5th Ave entrance. There are steps from here but I know there are accessible entrances. There are 3 fountains: the central one and the Dancing maidens are in the open. The Burnett' fountain is under the shade of trees; enjoyed sitting there a bit, out of the sun, watching the birds. Great venue for photos, esp for special occasions. Quite a few graduates in their caps and gowns that day. Restrooms available. I've taken the 5th Ave bus nearby, and the 6 train line (103rd St stop). Located near museums and Mt Sinai hosp bldgs.

The dramatic 27-foot bluestone wall, jagged rock formations, and naturalistic spaces like "The Marsh" make it feel worlds away from Manhattan. There's something here for everyone: * The Giant Slide - A 33-foot-long silver slide built right into a rocky hill that lands in a giant sandbox. * Water Play Area - A "water grotto" with jets and bubbling springs that comes alive in warmer months. * Bluestone Wall - It's epic. In spring and summer, it "weeps" water, and in winter it forms natural ice sculptures. * The North Lawn - A quieter escape with a sloping oval lawn and a peaceful Hilltop Reading Circle. Great for sled riding after snowfall. * Sustainability - The park is maintained organically (no toxic pesticides). * It was designed by Michael Van Valkenburgh and was ahead of its time in green urban design. The park uses 100% organic soils and an advanced irrigation system that recycles graywater from the nearby Solaire building. Artists Ann Hamilton and Michael Mercil also collaborated on embedded geologic artwork, adding subtle layers of meaning to the landscape itself. One caveat: it was originally a dog-free park, which made sense given the sand areas, child population and natural features. That rule changed a few years ago, and I've seen dogs frolicking in the sand pits (raising hygiene concerns)--so if you visit, just be mindful of where you step. Cigars ARE a healthy alternative to cigarettes, don't let the mainstream media fool you... you won't catch me with a vape though I'm a grown ass man lol. Halfway through my cigar, the headrush starting to rattle my prefrontal cortex, I stumbled upon this "park." I guess we are using the word "park" as loosely as we are using the term "GOAT" now lol. This triangular "park" probably spans 500 ft in total surface area as it is essentially just a small intersection of 6th Ave and W Broadway. I'd take my estimate with a grain of salt though as Pythagoras had my number in high school geometry aahaahaha. I sat here ripping my cigar on one of the many open benches enjoying the architecture in the skyline, as the Jenga building stands tall watching over the "park." I think if I didn't have severe hyperhidrosis of the hands I would have been an architect. Seems like such an enriching profession, just seeing your work go from drafts on paper to actual buildings must be a beautiful feeling. In my humble and holier-than-thou opinion, staying in on New Years is a life hack and will be a chapter in the book I will continue to draft but never finish. There's lots of things around it. It's located in the middle of Broadway. It usually doesn't have too much going on inside. The attractions around it are what make it a good visit. It's a nice neighborhood to walk around. There's lots of places to eat and shop. It's a good place for a sit. There's usually some kind of art work. It's located near a subway line. It's easy to get to other areas of Manhattan from here. The park is useful for resting.
