    Poke Bowl
    Emily M.

Awesome Poke. Fresh and flavorful. You can order online for asap pickup or schedule it. Easy online ordering. If you're looking for a filling affordable and casual meal - this is it. Two Poke bowls came to about $30USD (American). You can't get Poke that cheap in Seattle. I could have split mine! Hope this joint does well. We were really happy with our order. Need to make sure you get extra sauce. We found ours to needed more sauce, but if you like it on the drier side you'll be quite happy. No seating. Takeout only.

Fish is not good. Feels like it's been frozen and defrosted 3 times. A let down for the most part.

Best poke I've had on the west coast. Made a few custom bowls but today ordered one of their premade selections and it was the bomb!

So when we…read morewere in Whistler on a snow/ski/snowboarding trip with a group of friends, we definitely had to have dinner here. We were a LARGE group of 14 adults/teenagers. Fortunately for us, they have a tatami room that seats 14! Even more fortunately, it wasn't REALLY tatami seating -- low table with woven mats on the floor. Instead, it just looked like floor seating. The space under that table was recessed so you sit with your legs extended -- like sitting on a bench. The food was varied, with rolls and nigiri sushi, sashimi, udon, donburi, tempura, and more. There's definitely something for everyone. We ordered some of everything. And while everything was delicious, the standouts were the spider roll, super hiro roll, and crab claw tempura. Honorable mention goes to the strawberry sake margarita. The server handled our massive order of food and drinks expertly. Fun and casual atmosphere. Make sure to book a reservation as it is quite popular.

Our server was very nice and relatively attentive as it was very busy. We ordered tons of apps, takoyaki, beef tempura, a few salads, 5 of the 10 piece chefs Nigiri, the miso cod, garlic beef, udon noodles and a few nigiri. We also got a bunch of hot sake, sake margaritas and a few Sapporo's. Overall a fun place, kinda expensive for what it is with the ocean being as close as it is and not very authentic, but the food was passable. Great for groups but you need to check in early or get a reservation.

Came here for dinner and overall had a really good experience!…read moreThe Korean fried chicken burger was excellent -- the chicken was crispy and the sauce inside the burger tied everything together perfectly. I also tried the ahi tuna bowl and loved it. It had such a great balance of flavors and textures -- fresh ahi tuna, watermelon radish(love how unique this addition was!), carrots, pickled ginger, and seaweed salad. The mix of vegetables with the tuna made it feel light but still filling. Definitely something I'd order again. We ordered a side of poutine and it did not disappoint. The fries, gravy, and cheese curds were all cooked well and blended together perfectly. They also had a great deal on pitchers of beer, which is always a win. I ordered a Shirley Temple -- it tasted more like orange juice and grenadine than the classic version, but it was still good. Service was just okay. The bartender took a while to come over and take my order at the bar, but once we were helped, everything moved smoothly. One of the highlights was the outdoor patio seating -- such a great spot to sit and watch the Fire & Ice show. Overall, solid food, good vibes, and a fun place to hang out!

When you walk in you're promptly greeted by the hosts. We came mid week and tried their spring menu which was 4 courses for 33 before tax and tip. The server was prompt and attentive with a sincere, friendly demeanour. They were out of the tomato soup so we got the chowder and some chips and salsa (not pictured). Both were so delicious. The chips were ultra thick and reminded me of eating bugles as a kid, but way higher class. The salmon and chicken were way larger portions than we had expect , and done to perfection. Chicken is a little spicy but this is the type of service and cooking I liiiiive for! If you've ever had any other Earls scratch that out of your mind because when you come here, this is literally the place to be. Sticky toffee pudding also wonderful. It's not like a pudding more like a mini chocolate cake with toffee, vanilla ice cream and this almond florentine style cookie. Recommend to anyone even vegetarian / vegan as they have a plentiful plant based menu as well. This place is vibes for friends, dates, or a family dinner.

It was a rather cold April evening, so we asked if there were heaters. We were told that the heaters would be above our seats. We quickly accepted and were taken to our table. It was quite nice because the heather gave off enough heat for it to be enjoyable to sit outside. My friend ordered the 6 oz prime sirloin with the peppercorn sauce. I ordered the 6 oz prime sirloin with truffle butter. Both steaks came out in exceptional time. The service was quite amazing. My only thing was both steaks were overcooked. I ordered medium and it looked almost well done. My friend ordered medium rare and his was almost medium, if not done as well.

The music was great, the drinks are cheap, and the service was attentive (they kept my water glass full all night). For food, we enjoyed the honey garlic wings, fried pickles, and poutine. Every time we're in the area we stop in a least twice - once as a family and again just for date night with my husband. I'm blown away at the food and drink prices (you can't beat them) . The food is pretty darn good and the drinks are the best. We came in for lunch and I ordered the Warehouse Mac and cheese which was a perfect conviction of cheeses and Roasted Red Pepper Alfredo Sauce on Cavatappi Noodles, and it was just spicy and flavorful enough. We also ordered the sun-dried tomato pesto penne and my son had the crispy chicken Caesar wrap - all were equally as delicious. Returning for drinks, i had a couple of the Sour Keys - (Smirnoff Raspberry, Peach Schnapps, Lemon, Sprite and Sour Key Candy) and oh man - they were dangerously good! Both visits the staff was very friendly and attentive, we never had to wait long, and the bar tender was on top of making sure we were always hydrated. Love this spot and will happily return again.

This place has always felt like one of those "special occasion only" restaurants that are usually out of reach. The special menu was such a steal and so wonderful!!! Every course came out looking delightful, from the bright, delicate starters to the beautifully cooked mains to desserts that made us slow down just to savor the moment. I didn't want the food to stop flowing. Service was warm without being stuffy, the vibe was lively but still intimate, and the whole night felt like we'd accidentally unlocked a VIP experience. Araxi did not disappoint, though I'm disappointed in myself for missing their apres deal with a discounted fondue using cave aged gruyere! Definitely reserve ahead of time during peak season. They start you with fresh herbed ciabatta and sourdough with olive oil and butter, and both breads were great but especially so for our hungry kids. They had the most perfectly sharpened quality colored pencils and a coloring/activity sheet for the kids, which was much appreciated! Drinks: - The Cure: talisker 10, pineapple, mezcal float - Fig Jam: fig infused mezcal, apple cider, fig jam, spices - great to start They also had a good wine list, and they even had some local wines by the half bottle, which was a nice option, so we got a local Pinot. Food: - Oysters: island tide and kusshi, served with traditional mignonette and horseradish - Ricotta gnocchi: with wild mushrooms, cheesy lemon fonduta, crispy sage - a smaller portion but good for sharing as an appetizer - Pacific crab and matane shrimp cake: no fillers, perfectly seared, with a great local pear and avocado salsa verde - Seared scallops: perfectly seated, with local sunchokes, crispy prosciutto, grilled bok choy, xharred pepper romesco - Ora king salmon: similar to the kids' one but dressed up, with roasted beats, beet and ginger salsa, goat cheese arancini - House made bucatini: mentaiko style with spicy cod roe, humobldt squid, breadcrumbs. This had a nice kick, and the pasta texture was great - Kids' fish: seared salmon with risotto and bok choy - a generous portion of perfectly seared salmon! Dessert: - Valrhona chocolate fondant: warm gooey chocolate cake with tahitian vanilla bean ice cream and chocolate crisps Service was great and very kid friendly (including copper mule cups for their water!). We ordered a lot of food for 2 adults and 2 young kids, but everything was so great - every item was a hit. There's a reason why we keep coming back to Araxi!
